Beginning in mid-September, New York City will require all of its 340,000 municipal workers, including police, firefighters and teachers, to either be vaccinated against COVID-19 or tested weekly.
Under the latest plan, all city workers must comply with the vaccination-or-test rule beginning on September 13th, which is also the first day of public school in New York City. However, for 45,000 city staffers or contractors who work in residential and congregate care settings, the deadline to comply will come earlier, on August 16th.
As part of the transition to spur more vaccination, the city will double down on its existing mask mandates for unvaccinated employees. All city workers must show proof of vaccination starting August 2nd or be forced to wear a mask at all times.
The new directives come less than a week after Mayor Bill de Blasio issued the "get vaccinated or get tested" rule for the city's 42,000 public health workers. At the time, the mayor hinted that the requirement would eventually be expanded to more of the city's workforce as part of an incremental or "climb up the ladder" approach.
About 54% of all New Yorkers have been fully inoculated to date, but the pace of vaccinations has been slowing, leading experts to worry that the more contagious delta variant will fuel a rapid surge in infections. The latest seven-day average of total cases is 824, more than double the number two weeks ago. The daily positivity rate has also climbed to 2.27%, after being well below 1% in June.
UFT reaction via NY 1's Jillian Jorgensen.
Meanwhile, the UFT is on board:
“Vaccination and testing have helped keep schools among the safest places in the city. This approach puts the emphasis on vaccination but still allows for personal choice and provides additional safeguards through regular testing.”
Update- From de Blasio's press conference covered by the Daily News:
If city workers who opt against vaccines refuse to wear masks indoors, they won’t be allowed to come to the job and won’t be paid, de Blasio and his Labor Commissioner Renee Campion said.
“We’re just not going to tolerate unvaccinated city employees doing the wrong thing,” de Blasio said Monday at his morning press briefing. “Let’s be blunt: If you’re a city employee and you’re unvaccinated, you must wear a mask indoors at work. We will not tolerate any decision to do otherwise because this is about protecting Unvaccinated workers not wearing masks, he added, would be “removed” from their workplace.
“It will be a job requirement. We will expect employees to comply,” Campion added. “If employees refuse to comply, they just can’t be at work and, in fact, they will not be paid.”
YES!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo brainer. Just b/c some want to protect their "RIGHT" not to get the vaccine, should other people be endangered? Their health, their life, the lives and the health of their loved ones?
ReplyDeleteVaccines should be mandatory, across the board, for every person. If you doubt it, then educate yourself.
Soooo, this means that the DOE and admins will know who is vaccinated and who is not. I am willing to bet that teachers who do not get vaccinated will be targeted by admins. (Those teachers who are unvaccinated will still need to quarantine if exposed to a confirmed Covid case at school) Admins WILL NOT BE HAPPY ABOUT HAVING TO FIND SUBS FOR QUARANTINED TEACHERS. The UFT needs to set up a protection clause for unvaccinated teachers against admin retaliation for not getting the vaccine. There are plenty who have not been vaccinated yet. Latest estimates according to the city is 40% of teachers are not vaccinated. I am merely pointing out facts and am not pushing for vaccines or not. I remain neutral on the topic.
ReplyDeleteTarget away! I heard they have openings in the Rubber Room.
DeleteI am personally glad. Get the vax or get tested once a week, seems fair for adults who will be working in crowded indoor classrooms. If someone can't do that, the powers that be can figure out the next step. Also, we have to address the kids - testing? vax?
ReplyDeleteDon't drink the koolaid
ReplyDeleteHow is the DOE going to ensure that there are no lists of teachers drawn up who are unvaccinated? This info should be private to any and all DOE honchos and building administrators. The Department of Health who is in charge of testing in schools should be the only people who know which teachers are vaccinated or not.
ReplyDeleteModerna announced that they hope to have a vaccine for the 5 thru 11 years of age —ready to go by the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteVaccinated teachers who were exposed to a positive covid case did not have to quaratine this past spring.
ReplyDeleteWhen will Cuomo announce that all state employees must be vaccinated—as California just made it mandatory for their state workers.
ReplyDeleteAnd now it’s mandatory for all workers in the VA hospitals—the first federal mandate—I think.
And they should pay for the tests out of their own pockets.
ReplyDeleteDon't drink that koolaid...and endanger the 90 year old with COPD's life? And the life of the mom who is immunosuppressed because she has to take prednisone.
ReplyDeleteBet off the cliches 2:18:00....It's time we grow up and delve into the mortal consequences of your refusal to "drink the koolaid." And guess what, you and others could save a life and save a family a lot of grief.
I totally agree. Don't drink the kool-aid? Okay and don't work around people either. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Yup we all have rights and vaccinated people have the right not to work around the unvaccinated.
DeleteYes, I'm teaching summer school and was told a student in one of my classes tested positive for Covid. I was told I didn't have to quarantine because I was vaccinated.
ReplyDeleteWill the fully vaxxed teachers still have to mask up at school?
ReplyDeleteYup. Masks are required for us next year as of right now.
DeleteWhile we are at it...
ReplyDeleteWe should have a mandate that city employees cannot smoke, as smoking causes 400k+ deaths per year in the US. Second-hand smoke kills too!
We should have a mandate that city employees cannot drink alcohol or be obese (another combined 400k+ deaths per year in the US).
As you say, this should be a "no brainer", right?
Let's add to this list! Time to get tough, right?
506. We do already have rules about no smoking on school campuses.. and honestly, drinking less would be a blessing to this society. Why add to the list of things that kill us? It would seem better to make that list smaller when possible.
DeleteFYI Jim Jones’s people drank Flavor Aid.
ReplyDeleteBeing accurate matters.
(And, get the vaccine.)
@2:00 Protection clause? WTF. Why should they get extra protection? What incentive will they have to get vaccinated if all they have to do is claim that that they've been exposed, have a fever, and just go to work remotely while the in-person teacher picks up the slack. Again.
ReplyDeleteAdmin is not going to "hire subs". The people left to cover the teacher's classes are the in-person teachers. Last year in-person teachers were responsible for their bulletin boards, covering the remote teacher's students who couldn't be left in the computer labs by themselves, covering for them during lunch. No more protections. If they are treated in some manner that requires the UFT to intervene let them seek out the UFT for a resolution.
Some sites suggest that many vaxxed will die in 2 years.dont drink the Kool aid.just act responsibly and u should be safe if u hang with people who are responsible.i don't agree with hanging out so I stay from my friends.i briefly see my mom occasionally bec she is prudent.
ReplyDelete@5:46 pm...And sadly too many unvaxxed are dying NOWWWWWW-A.
DeleteI have a hunch that more jobs to teach pods at home...kids of parents who don't want their kids used as guinea pigs.
ReplyDeleteBTW I am one of the very responsible unvaxxed like a previous poster.o agree that unvaxxed people who are reckless are a menace and therefore I can see why why u and I want them vaxxed.however it is unfair to brand and punish responsible people who do not want to vax and who ALSO CARE FOR OTHERS. Reckless unvaxxed is awful but many like me are very cautious and sacrifice social activities.we are not the ones to watch out for.i get angry when people don't mask...and many offenders are seniors!I cancelled a med appt.bec there was no masking and no distance.i sat in the vestibule and never went back.there was a rule of 50$fine for being unmasked on transit.they never gave out a tix.now on lirr it's also a joke.if rules would be enforced, compliance would increase.
Weekly test. Sucks but better than taking a vaccine you don’t want.
ReplyDeleteThis is still of limited value. The Mayor wishes to go on with his "mega" concerts and not differentiate between concert goers who are vaccinated and who are not.
ReplyDeleteHe's so full of double talk and the UFT are no better. The Mayor is not mandating vaccines. And who do the teachers and other staff have to show that they were tested on a weekly basis? The online form? That's a joke. It's an honor system with little value.
Currently, teachers who are unvaccinated have to quarrintine if there is a positive case in their room. A vaccinated teacher does not. Admin currently are not allowed to ask who is vaccinated and who is not. Is that going to change? And, how will that effect the day to day? Meanwhile, the COVID numbers keep rising in NYC and coincidently in our schools. Kinda like "Summer Rising!"
You work for the public then you get a vaccine. The teachers in schools full time had to cover all you teachers who felt it was unsafe to come in. And yes we had to do your bulletin boards and your paperwork and the end of the year stuff. You liberal assholes wanted to defund the police, get rid of trump. You get a president that does something and you cant respect your fellow teachers. If everyone gets a shot then this virus cant mutate like its doing now. You teachers are taking away my rights for a healthy workplace.
ReplyDeleteIt’s funny because the conservative assholes are the ones who refuse to get the vaccine
DeleteI do not see this as a vaccine mandate at all. It is still not required that anyone gets vaccinated, it is only being encouraged. Unvaccinated staff will just have to be tested, vaccinated staff will not. In other words, this is a move to have less testing in schools under the guise of pushing vaccination.
ReplyDeleteThis is where the mainstream media is repugnant and lacks self-awareness.
ReplyDeleteThis was not a mandate. I believe in choice and that with choice comes responsibility. I chose to get a vaccine, however, if you do not want the vaccine, there is not a mandate for you to get one. Weekly testing and mask wearing for unvaccinated is not wrong or a violation.
These variants are mainly impacting unvaccinated people.
This mayor sucks, but he did not impose a vaccine mandate.
The mainstream media and how they present headlines are awful!
Don't think mandates are going to be carried through come September. I'm teaching summer school. My classroom never gets cleaned, I have no air purifiers and masks aren't enforced. Some students just wear them as chin guards. Get vaccinated!
ReplyDelete7:18 what the fuck does defunding the police have to do with anything? It's not the "liberals" who are pushing not to get vaccinated so your post makes no sense. Just a sour grapes opportunity to take a swipe. Btw, the city is having some measure of success sending out mental health experts to deal with mental health crisis rather than a swat team of cowboys. Idiot.
ReplyDelete@5:46 PM
ReplyDeleteWhat site? How unfortunate if that's the case. So many of my friends who are doctors and nurses have gotten the vaccine. Based on what you are saying, at this rate, we won't have many doctors or nurses left in 2 years since they will all die. You seem to have so much knowledge about medicine, so here's hoping you and your's are qualified enough to fill their spots after they die.
There needs to be a hard national mandate now. Herd immunity will not be reached if vaccine scared people have a choice of getting tested or vaccinated. The virus will morph into something that will be vaccine resistant. Our society will then morph into something that is even more dystopian than ‘The Hunger Games’ and that hard mandate will happen, along with a severe curtailing of personal freedoms and rights. Individual tracking, zero privacy, limited resources and opportunities and the Patriot Act on Steroids. Get the vaccine now or get it later with all the rest of the crap that will go with it, including a soul killing lockdown.
ReplyDeleteAlso, @5:46, please make sure it is a reputable and legit website that has proper sources cited. Not a whatsapp chain message type of situation as my experience has been that those headlines are usually false, misconstrued, or not without cited sources one can look into to further research the matter.
ReplyDeleteAlso, dang, it seems like 50% of the USA is fully vaccinated. They must have all been idiots since half the country is set to die in 2 years. Seems like the borders would need to open up since there will be a lack of people to work and stuff. What bozos those doctors are for vaccinating themselves?
I hope you do realize that the reason we get the flu shot every year is because the regular flu varies year to year and they are made to fight against more than one strain of flu. Additionally, vaccine's protection declines overtime. Similarly, the COVID vaccine helps individuals in fighting against more than one strain of COVID, but just like the regular flu shot, you may need to get vaccinated every year or two since the vaccine's protection declines overtime.
Your natural immunity to COVID isn't going to last forever. Some people never develop antibodies from COVID if they were asymptomatic. And some people have had their antibodies already stop showing up on the antibody test. You should definitely ask for an antibody test when doing a blood test to make sure they are still there.
Also booster shots are not new for those of us who have been complaining about that. The Tdap vaccine (protects against tetanus, diphtheria) has a booster shot which every adult is recommended to take every 10 years. So booster shots aren't a new concept at all. And god forbid someone were to get into a car crash, the Tdap would help protect your respiratory system from infections caused by these injuries.
Do all anti-vaxxers, and/or right wingers lack common sense? Some of their arguments are just downright juvenile and ridiculous.
ReplyDelete"We should have a mandate that city employees cannot smoke, as smoking causes 400k+ deaths per year in the US. Second-hand smoke kills too!
We should have a mandate that city employees cannot drink alcohol or be obese (another combined 400k+ deaths per year in the US)."
There absolutely ARE mandates and about smoking in public places and drinking while driving because they impact OTHER people. As for obesity, YOUR obesity and associated health problems have never caused the shut down of the economy, a strain on the healthcare system, or caused someone else to become sick and die because of their proximity to you.
Amazing. I have to get a vaccine to protect others. What about the contact high and pounding headache I get when parents pick up their kids from school? Parents who then get back in their cars and risk their childrens and other peoples lives. That's ok. Yes, I did tell my principal who asked "did you see them smoking anything? So they could have just been around people who have done it. So I have to deal with this BS to keep this shit job and paycheck.
ReplyDeleteDC 37 stands up to protect it's members rights.
NYC Firefighters union steps up to advocate for it's members rights.
Mike Mulgrew/UFT-agrees with the city-Members rights? that's a joke. Mike continues to advise us to bend over and take it.
We have rights. Mulgrew doesn't give a shit about us. I pray that regardless of members opinions on the vaccine, we come together and get leadership that will be strong. I don't feel safe or protected by my union. oh, I am still waiting for my back pay from teaching 2 different grades in Sept. Yes, I won the greviance but check or payment never came. Told to keep waiting. Absolutely weak, disappointing union with no backbone.
Actually, if you recall, many health workers refused the jab.that speaks volumes.
ReplyDelete7:25...the way I see it, more will be tested.remember before they were only testing 20% and often, less.so if about 40%are not vaxxed and they must be tested, isn't that more?curious about percent of students who will be tested.
@11:27 you don't have to get anything. You can find another job if you're so miserable. You're complaining that you had to teach 2 different grades? What?? Is this a joke?
ReplyDelete@5:57 "I am one of the very responsible unvaxxed". Sounds like an oxymoron if I ever heard one.
ReplyDeleteMuch ado about nothing. Get the vaccine or don’t and get weekly test. Another shitty year with the doe awaits.
ReplyDeleteSeems to me that if the fully vaccinated, teachers and otherwise, could ditch the masks we would see more school staff getting vaccinated.
ReplyDelete(Of course vaccinated folks do still catch the virus and a small number of them are hospitalized and an even smaller number of them die but that is another discussion for another day.)
The vaccine does not protect, vaxxed people are becoming positive.
ReplyDeleteThe flu vaccine has been around for almost 100 years, the covid vaccine for less than a year. There have been 10,000 deaths from this vaccine and lots of injuries. I rather die from my natural immune system trying to fight a virus than dying from taking a vaccine to protect me from a virus I have 99% to survive.
The same idiots on here who believed Russia Russia Russia and all the fake news stories think they know it all here and have the facts 😂.

Anon 2323, You are sending us to right wing sources now that are at least not rated as basically bullshit so we are making progress.
DeleteAs for your claim, "There have been 10,000 deaths from this vaccine..." It is easily refuted and Reuters did the fact check.
https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-vaers-deaths-idUSL1N2LV0NY
From the article:
As stated here by the CDC, “Reports of death to VAERS following vaccination do not necessarily mean the vaccine caused the death.”
And more:
Having reviewed “available clinical information including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records,” the CDC found “no evidence that vaccination contributed to patient deaths” (here).
To everyone else, This is not the same as smoking and cancer but you still choose to smoke and live with the consequences. COVID-19 is a contagious virus. I'm no scientist so I will stay away from the science but if you read the original post, we have 116 years of legal precedent saying that mandated vaccines to protect the public health are constitutional.
As to the efficacy of the vaccines, nobody claimed they were 100% effective but if enough people refuse to take them, they will be less effective.
718: it wasnt just "asshole liberals" who wanted to get rid of Trump. Plenty of distinguished Republican and uktra-Conservatives saw him for the deranged look that he is. But why would any SANE NYer support a President who told NY in the grip of a pandemic that they can rot? I support Biden because he's anybody but Trump. But I damn sure wouldnt follow him to the gates of hells as he's saying my family and I can rot. What is wrong with you people?
ReplyDeleteJust an endangered CL, I agree with you that there should be mandates put in place in order to eliminate all unhealthy behaviors!
ReplyDeleteIf the mayor instituted a "no weed smoking" mandate or weekly testing, thousands of nyc teachers would lose their jobs. Smoking also can lead to lung cancer. We definitely need a mandate prohibiting all smoking.
Why are more people worried about CoVid than getting an STD? STDs lead to all sorts of medical issues and cancers.
Stomach cancer is high on the list of the deadliest cancers. Yet people still insist on eating carcinogens.
I don't care if you chose to be vaccinated or not. I don't care if you mask up or not. If I get Covid, it will be my fault and I will take the medication that is effective in fighting the virus. I had to order it from another country. Many physicians in the US have been prohibited from prescribing it.
Through out the centuries, governments around the world have killed millions, perhaps billions, of people by lying to them or keeping the truth from them. Stop listening to the media, social media and the politicians. Do your own research and as much as you can, take care of your own health.
@8:04 am im curious from Which country did you buy your covid pills?
DeleteI don’t always agree with Anon2323 but he’s been more right than the rest of most folks on here. I am vaccinated but it wasn’t because I trusted it. I did a personal risk assessment and my underlying health condition made me choose to be vaccinated. When Big Pharma and Big tech and corporate media united around a message and censored dissent, they lost me. When summer protests were not super spreader events but Jan 6th protests were, their propaganda was exposed. Both republicans and democrats made this political. I voted for Trump, not because I think he is a saintly savior but because he was a thumb in the eye of those I hate most…. Establishment democrats and establishment republicans and their corporate media and big tech pimps. Read Glenn Greenwald, liberals. He’s a liberal journalist in the true sense of liberalism and journalism. The fascist censorship going on is not just a republican/conservative complaint. It’s real and your side will be next. All Americans are in danger when our rights are stripped one by one. If there’s even a slim chance that someone can get blood clots or heart inflammation from a vaccine, I am not in favor of forced vaccines…..especially since Big Pharma has liability waiver. For the love of God please stop relying on corporate media for information. It’s killing this country.
ReplyDelete@10:41am
DeleteAnywho...you dropped way too much for lil old me to unload. Ok i agree that the protests were super spreader events. Do you agree that Jan 6th was not only a super spreader event but was a terrorist attack against the USA. I do have a question for you: How long have you believed that corporate media is the voice of the devil?
Greenwalds a libertarian.
Deletehttps://www.theguardian.com/science/2021/jul/16/huge-study-supporting-ivermectin-as-covid-treatment-withdrawn-over-ethical-concerns
ReplyDeleteUm, a little problem with the "definitive" study. I know though this was a conspiracy a grand conspiracy at that. They're all covering up the effectiveness.
Sorry, but it doesn't work like that. Real MD are vacxinated and so are their families.
The vax refusal in healthcare is by nurses.
All of these miracle drugs... Don't seem to be saving all the Patriots dying. If a simple pill could do the trick, MD would give it. They don't because they are as good as sugar or as so many like to say, cool aid.
The sad part is we would have kicked this by now, had everyone who was eligible to get the vaccine got it. Instead we still have to live with these stupid Covid rules.
ReplyDelete10:59. yup. or if we had a real lockdown, and everyone took it seriously. plenty of countries where this has been put under control and is in the rearview mirror. but here we are, still debating masks, still no universal healthcare, still comparing death rates and saying just take the risk. this place is doomed.
Delete😂😂 James glad I am making progress. Just curious what websites you were using during Russia Hoax for 3 years and all the other stories that were wrong.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to loveeeeeee this next website source. It is so hard to even call them a source.
https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/01/health/eua-coronavirus-vaccine-history/index.html
This caught my attention from the article.
1. More than 200,000 children got the polio vaccine, but within days the government had to abandon the program."Forty thousand kids got polio. Some had low levels, a couple hundred were left with paralysis, and about 10 died,"
2.In 1976, scientists predicted a pandemic of a new strain of influenza called swine flu. More than 40 years later, some historians call it "flu epidemic that never was."
"President Ford was basically told by his advisers, that look, we have a pandemic flu coming called swine flu that may be as bad as Spanish flu,"
40 million people got vaccinated against swine flu, according to the CDC. That vaccination campaign was later linked to cases of a neurological disorder called Guillain-Barre syndrome, which can develop after an infection or, rarely, after vaccination with a live vaccine.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, do not dare tell me to my face I must vaccinate and be ordered like this is a communist country. My siblings and close friends took the vaccine, not happy about that so of course, I pray the vaccine is safe otherwise I will be losing many dearest people. You guys are smoking crack like Hunter Biden if you do not think big tech, media, and whomever else is going to expose the vaccine side effects and deaths. At least in 1976, Mike Wallace did his job as a journalist exploiting the swine flu vaccine.
Anon 2323,
DeleteMatt Taibbi, Glen Greenwald, Sagaar and Krystal all said Russiagate was mostly bullshit.
If we listened to the anti-vaxxers, we never beat polio or smallpox, etc.
It is hard to have a discussion because I don't see you call out your side when they are full of shit.
anon2323, because we don't get ordered to do anything in this country, right? i mean, it's not like we have laws or anything that we are told to follow unless we want to face consequences. nothing like that here. nope.
DeleteWhat I will do, is pull my union dues and COPE if we are going to be forced to get tested on our own time and dime. The money saved will pay for the Covid testing.
ReplyDelete1:34am 11:27 here
ReplyDelete@11:27 you don't have to get anything. You can find another job if you're so miserable. You're complaining that you had to teach 2 different grades? What?? Is this a joke?
OK, So I guess you are not familiar or don't care about contract rules.
Gen Ed elem teachers cannot teach 2 different grades. Why? Because it is A LOT to play all subjects for 2 different grades. Look it up. I am correct. Said that you are more focused on attacking me than the fact that I WON my greviance and still have not received payment.
So let's see. July 27th 3:20pm and the CDC changes the guidelines about masks, covid, YET AGAIN!
ReplyDeleteYes, let's all follow the CDC guidelines..
Work starts Sept 9th..anyone care to guess how many more changes will be issued before then??
THE CDC KNOWS THAT THEIR VACCINE IS BS! They know you can still get the virus and transmit it.
yes, yes! I know I am the one wrong. You cool aid drinkers keep mix'in it up!
@4:18 pm... you sound like the kool aid drinker. So what if the CDC changes guidelines. We should be updating and making changes. We haven't had a pandemic in 100 years. All of the sudden YOU have all of the correct answers? So what if the vaccinated still have to mask up. So what if the vaccinated get Covid. The point is that it's not as bad. Dang. Corrections and updates are desired as new research is available. Your saying people are drinking kool aid should include yourself. Maybe you're drinking grape and they are drinking cherry. Oh well. At the end of the day, no one gets out of this life alive.
ReplyDelete@4:13 what's sad is that you focused on the question about teaching 2 grades, versus the comment that all you seem to do is COMPLAIN. You people act like you don't have a choice in life. If you've put in too much time to just quit, without collecting your pension, or you don't want to before being vested, MOVE to another school. In fact, find a job that's not in the classroom. The DOE is huge, and you all act like you're stuck at this so-called "shitty, miserable" place that you're in.
ReplyDeleteWe had a student test positive in my SUmmer school program and were given a list of students who had to quarantine. Lo and behold over a dozen of them showed up not only to school but went to class. They didn't stop them at the door. They even went to some of their classes. Don't believe a thing the doe says about PPE and safety guidelines. It's all bull.
ReplyDelete@4:40, they are simply too ridiculous for words. One guy was posting, or rather whining, about how back at the beginning they were advising that people not wear masks. 600,000 deaths later they still want to hang onto whatever missteps were made in the beginning.
ReplyDelete@51:11 pm...it just proves that education doesn't mean intelligent. And for those continuing to bit^h and whine about the job can go work a call center from home.
DeleteWashington Post on newindoor mask mandate:
ReplyDelete“Nobody wants to go backward, but you have to deal with the facts on the ground, and the facts on the ground are that it’s a pretty scary time, and there are a lot of vulnerable people,” said Robert Wachter, chairman of the department of medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. “I think the biggest thing we got wrong was not anticipating that thirty percent of the country would choose not to be vaccinated.”
Luis Schang, a Cornell University virologist, applauded the changes and said wearing a mask represents a “small effort” given the suffering caused by the pandemic.
“It’s not a permanent thing. That’s an important thing to highlight,” Schang said. He said the vaccines are still working very well and vaccination rates continue to rise. “This is not something we have to do for years. This is weeks, perhaps a couple of months.”
Natalie Dean, a biostatistician at Emory University, noted that the picture in the United States has changed significantly in recent weeks.
“Things were going all right for a little bit. … Now it’s like, well, what are we doing here? The trends are not good,” she said, adding: “The situation has evolved. Literally.”
Waiting...I actually prefer orange. I'll be sure to pick some up when I'm restocking on those masks that you have to wear again too.
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't have all the answers but nether does the CDC. Now go refill your kool aid.
@5:19...
DeleteHah. How did i know that you preferred ORANGE. Lmao. You can have any kool aid given to me--I drink agua.
Orange. How did i know that. You can't make this sh^t up.
I predicted this.i suspected this would happen as a result of all the partying and travel July 4.maybe it will subside.i said then things were lifted too fast.
ReplyDeleteMasks are now being mandated again.
ReplyDeleteBiden's "summer of freedom" is now cancelled.
Waiting for support,
ReplyDeleteI ordered Iver... online from a place in Canada but the package of the pills says India. I placed the order back in Dec or Jan after doing some research.
5:02
ReplyDeletewaah, waah, and all you do is bend over and take it from Mikey and the current shitty union leadership!
You would rather deflect from the failure of our union to support members. Clearly you must be a unity fool! I will be LMAO when mike and co are shown the door!
I think it is YOU! who needs to find another job.
Brains fried from too many flu shots!lol
ReplyDeleteW4s…. January 6 was a riot as well . In June 2020 rioters tore down barricades protecting the White House and fought with Secret Service. To me that’s similar to Jan 6th. I’m not quick on the draw labeling Americans pissed at their government as terrorists. Oklahoma City was terrorism. What I’ve seen so far 2020 onward are riots.
ReplyDelete@6:37pm...
DeleteWell i wasn't there so I'm going to go by what officers and people in the capital called it. Now if you want to call jan 6th a riot go right ahead. Re-writing events to make it easier to swallow has happened in the past and i know it will happen again. I saw peacefyl protests last year--did you?
@6:37 pm
DeleteAmericans can be terrorists. We saw that on jan 6. Why were they "rioting" thru out the capital? What was their intent? Just because Trump said the election was stolen doesn't make it so. Pls don't drink THAT kool aid. He fired up those folks to go do his dirty work. He avoided the draft so some poor person went in his stead. Like biden and Clinton. Those jan 6 terrorists not only drank his kool aid, they were hopped up on an intravenous drip too. They terrorized the occupants that day. Let's not rewrite history--again. Our history books are examples of revised history to make certain people seem different from what they are. But to you...
Enjoyed and was somewhat terrified by the ivermectin stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe right is promoting this drug as an easy cure for COVID.
From the Guardian piece a commenter cited earlier:
A medical student in London, Jack Lawrence, was among the first to identify serious concerns about the paper, leading to the retraction. He first became aware of the Elgazzar preprint when it was assigned to him by one of his lecturers for an assignment that formed part of his master’s degree. He found the introduction section of the paper appeared to have been almost entirely plagiarised.

The data also looked suspicious to Lawrence, with the raw data apparently contradicting the study protocol on several occasions.
“The authors claimed to have done the study only on 18-80 year olds, but at least three patients in the dataset were under 18,” Lawrence said.
“The authors claimed they conducted the study between the 8th of June and 20th of September 2020, however most of the patients who died were admitted into hospital and died before the 8th of June according to the raw data. The data was also terribly formatted, and includes one patient who left hospital on the non-existent date of 31/06/2020.”
The university’s press office also did not respond.
The conclusion:
Lawrence said what started out as a simple university assignment had led to a comprehensive investigation into an apparent scientific fraud at a time when “there is a whole ivermectin hype … dominated by a mix of right-wing figures, anti-vaxxers and outright conspiracists”.
“Although science trends towards self-correction, something is clearly broken in a system that can allow a study as full of problems as the Elgazzar paper to run unchallenged for seven months,” he said.
“Thousands of highly educated scientists, doctors, pharmacists, and at least four major medicines regulators missed a fraud so apparent that it might as well have come with a flashing neon sign. That this all happened amid an ongoing global health crisis of epic proportions is all the more terrifying.
People like Taibbi have been fooled here too. Nobody noticed June 31, 2020? Scary.
5:30 - Oooh, deflection. Sounds like you're the one who bent over and took it, worked two grades, boo hoo, and didn't get paid and are now crying, "waah, waah, waah" for your money AND about how bad you're getting treated. Maybe you should cry louder and they'll gladly pay you. LOL.
ReplyDelete@5:30, look at this whinefest:
ReplyDelete"What about the contact high and pounding headache I get when parents pick up their kids from school? Parents who then get back in their cars and risk their childrens and other peoples lives. That's ok. Yes, I did tell my principal who asked "did you see them smoking anything? So they could have just been around people who have done it. So I have to deal with this BS to keep this shit job and paycheck.
" Yes, I won the greviance but check or payment never came. Told to keep waiting. Absolutely weak, disappointing union with no backbone"
Sounds like you're the one with no spine. I'll bet they assign you two grades again, you'll take it, and then whine some more. Go take some aspirin, and call them in the morning, so that they can tell you again "keep waiting". LOL.
Ani, vaccine hesitancy is high among African Americans. I doubt the majority of them are “right wing assholes”
ReplyDelete@7:36 am...
DeleteHesitancy is high. Periodt. You're introducing race because????
Regarding protests vs riots vs terrorism. I believe my eyes not cops.
ReplyDeleteMany people believe their eyes
Delete@waiting why did the mayor of DC and pelosi not add the 10,000 national guard? Why did officers allow people in? Who from the inside of the capital opened the magnetic door? Why did the news lie about the officer who died from natural causes they said he died getting hit with an extinguisher? Who planted the bombs at rnc and dnc why has that not been exposed yet? What was ANTIFA and leftists dressed as Trump supporters doing? Nobody died seems like the scariest insurrection ever 😂😂. Still trying to focus on this as a distraction from election integrity. I bet you 100 when it's all said and done from 14 hours of video you will see this is another sham.
ReplyDelete"D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser also wanted a light police presence at the Capitol".
Nobody talks about the border wall crisis, most ever at the border and we are flying illegals all across the country unchecked, sure that will help spread covid.
Psaki circle back liar said the jab is FDA approved which it is not, it's for emergency use only, 99.5% survival does not seem that way. When homeless people are dropping dead on-street and 60% survival different story.
@anon2323.
DeleteSo America is or isn't the greatest country in the world?
How insulting to those police officers who risked their lives on Jan 6. How low will you Trumpets go?
ReplyDeleteNBC
Officer Dunn, a 13-year veteran of the Capitol Police force, recounted enduring racist slurs, in powerful testimony about confronting the mob. More on the officers here.
The officers provided chilling, detailed accounts of being knocked unconscious, beaten and fearing death at the hands of a mob that outnumbered them. They choked up reliving the hand-to-hand combat they faced on Jan. 6.
Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., issued striking criticism of her party for blocking an independent commission to examine the attack. She is one of two Republicans serving on the committee, at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's invitation.
22h ago / 12:18 PM EDT
Schiff also tears up: 'It must be an Adam thing today'
Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., choked up near the conclusions of his questioning of the select committee's witnesses, commending the officers for risking their lives.
"It must be an Adam thing today," said Schiff, referring to Rep. Adam Kinzinger, one of two Republicans on the panel, who had previously gotten emotional during his allotted questioning time.
"I believe in this country and I believe in it because of people like you who understand what the flag means and what our constitution means and risk their lives to defend it," Schiff said.
I thought it was obvious but….I’m bringing up race because I was responding to Ani and wanted to rebut Ani’s argument about vaccine hesitation being a “right wing assholes” thing. If Ani or anyone else wants to assert that the majority of African Americans who have refused the vaccine are right wing assholes, they are free to do so.
ReplyDeleteMy apologies the quote is “conservative assholes” not right wing.
ReplyDeleteI’d like to see all of the officers’ bodycam footage and judge for myself. Wouldn’t be the first time cops lied. I’d also like to know why the WH request for additional manpower was denied and why cops opened doors to alleged insurrectionists/terrorists. Seems those cops should be charged for their involvement in the worst crime since….blah blah blah. Anon2323 asks good questions.
ReplyDeletePolice are corrupt. Who would've thought? Off duty cops, and military, were a large part of the reactionary mob that day. Maybe this is why there is a huge mass movement of protest against police abuse and corruption..
Delete@11:12 am...
DeleteYou need to see the officers bodycam? Cops lie? Do you think this all the time?
@1:34pm
DeleteI see you.
@Anon2323 Its a right wing lie vomited by Jordan, swallowed and regurgitated by you and other propagandists that Pelosi turned down troops and certainly not after you guys (were you there?) broke through. It's clear that whoever didnt add additional troops BEFOREHAND underestimated how psychotic you cultists really are. Your argument is akin to blaming the police for not having enough reinforcements when protests turn into looting. On the contrary you would blame every black person who ever lived.
ReplyDelete@10:35 I know your question is just to point out Anon2323's hypocrisy. Clearly they (right wingers) despise this country, our system of government, our free and fair elections, our elected officials, the variety of people, cultures, languages that make up this country. What kind of a anti-American hate-filled psychopath would support and condone the disruption of the counting of election votes - their rallying cry being "stop the count" and pretend that no one was injured killed that day? I've seen some people say they like his posts and I'm curious what part of propaganda garbage they enjoy.
@11:25 am...
DeleteB-I-N-G-O
It's only beneficial to support the police when they are only cracking some skulls.
DeleteThe blatant hypocrisy is revolting. I can't wait to see how jan 6 is depicted in history books: "A house cleaning event was attended by the most patriotic citizens of our great nation. Some rogue officers attempted to block these amazing patriots but they were stopped with minimal force".

11:00 as of July 2021 the number of blacks who said they wont get the vaccine is 7% vs 69% white.
ReplyDeleteDemocrats vs Republicans who wont get the vaccine is 18% vs 58% Republican. There are different numbers out there and they ALL point to Republicans who wont vaccinate especially in red states.
My God you guys wear it like a fucking badge of honor, shout it from the rooftops, are all over the airwaves. You want to turn it into some bogus competition and drag blacks into it? At least blacks have a historical legitimate concern to not trust. You guys are just listening to Tucker, and the crazies like Majorie Taylor who are probably vaccinated themselves just like Trump made sure he got his very quietly.
@11:35 am... How did one man (Trump) gain so much influence over so many people? Rich. Poor. Confederate flag wavers. Republicans. Women. Upper middle and lower income, racists, etc. He mobilized all of these people into breaking in the capital to take back the vote? Now all of the sudden these people don't trust the government and mainstream media UNLESS the govt and mainstream media are negatively reporting about some folks. They will spew those stats out quickly. Who can take them seriously? Not me. No justice no peace. Either we work together or this country will have no peace. Periodt
Delete@11 am...
ReplyDeleteWhat does Ani have to say about the majority of white folks who have refused the vac?
Nobody condoned anything. I swear. Does anybody comprehend what they read anymore? Riots bad. White rioters bad. Black rioters bad. Christian, Muslim, Jewish rioters bad. Republican rioters bad. Democrat rioters bad. Biden voting and Trump voting rioters bad. Release all the bodycam and security videos from every riot and we can all see all the bad and judge for ourselves just how bad it all was. Or refuse to release the videos and live with the doubt. Choice is up to the losers in charge of such things. It’s clear we’re divided. And the next damn Timothy McVeigh is out there somewhere as is the next whoever planted pipe bombs at the rnc and dnc in DC. Not to mention all the thugs stabbing, beating and mugging people and being released to do it again. Cameras everywhere in dc but no one knows who planted pipe bombs? Not buying what the establishment is selling. None of this is going to end well. Be safe and well.
ReplyDelete11:35. Are those 7% blacks “conservative assholes?” That was the point of the commentary.
ReplyDelete1241. probably
Delete1:34. Yes.
ReplyDeleteAs someone mentioned above, Trump is vaccinated himself and data has repeatedly shown that while there are people against the vaccine on both sides of the political spectrum, there is a significantly higher amount of people against the vaccine who are conservative/right-leaning.
ReplyDeleteMy question to Trump supporters on this blog: someone above stated that vaccinated folks will die in 2 years - what would that mean for Trump if he plans on running 2024 - well if he's able to since, you know, he's vaccinated too. If Pence isn't vaccinated, he could run for President on his behalf and the fly could run as Vice President. What are your thoughts on this?
It is legitimate question that I have. What do you think is the best course of action for the Republican Party in the 2024 election?
Gods Speed everybody - some people just can't be happy, thankful, or caring is what I'm getting from this blog.
12:41 What do you mean that was the point of the commentary? Did you post at 11:00, because that is nothing but YOUR flawed commentary in trying to drag blacks into this. NOBODY on this site, or with half a brain has said that there are no blacks who reject the vaccination. The actual "point of the commentary" is that it is RIGHT-WINGERS who are leading the way in that rejection. Not to mention rejecting masks, social distancing, and anything else they can think of?
ReplyDelete11:12 needs to see bodycam and other footage? It's the end of JULY for God's sake. You haven't seen video footage of the carnage yet??
ReplyDeleteAs for the WH request for additional troops, that's just a bald-faced lie. That's what happens when you listen to a propagandist like Anon2323.
12:35 Nobody condoned anything?? Are you being sarcastic? Nobody but Trump and the rest of his enablers who have been making excuses for it, when not denying it entirely. Didn't Trump call them patriots, said he loved them, and call the woman who charged through the broken window a hero? That's not condoning it? Are you even paying attention?
ReplyDelete@3:40 - I know at least ONE reason how he gained so much influence over so many people. He manifested their hate for Obama and immigrants via Twitter and when he announced his candidacy. It is how he leapfrogged over all the other deranged Conservative candidates. They even turned on their little right wing darling Megyn Kelly and took his side when he bullied and trashed her before the world. His disgusting rhetoric is what they were feeling all along and he put it right out there on mainstream for them. There's no working together with those who are brainwashed by an authoritarian-minded megalomaniac. All you can do around them is watch your back.
ReplyDeleteI’ll comment on race any time I choose. I’m not cowed by any hysteric’s cries of why bring up race. Someone here blames conservative assholes but the fact is there are a high percentage of African Americans who are refusing the vaccine. That puts a dent in blame Trump and conservatives. And that is why it is relevant. If you don’t like the comment, too fucking bad. Many of you confuse Trump voters as idolizing Trump. You’re wrong. Some do. Most don’t. I will take a narcissistic megalomaniac over the current dem party or a Cheney or Romney any day of the week. Keep giving up your rights simps. It’s what simps do.
ReplyDelete@653 pm...
Delete"Hysterics cries"? You Assume a question is a hysterical cry? Damn i wouldn't want to be a student in your class. Can you say what is the high percentage? Quiet as it's kept, African Americans don't walk lock step lol. You've given up some of your rights the moment you signed up with the doe lmao sooooo hello simp.
@6:24pm
ReplyDelete... absolutely
@6:09 the real propaganda is CNN and the liberal media. Watch project veritas expose what we already knew CNN was trying to do to get TRump out. Fox biggest mistake was calling Arizona too early on election night. When Maricopa results come out in 2 weeks they will look like the 💩💩💩 they are.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxLoMkikYiQ
He gained influence because he is not the establishment and his policies of putting America first, getting jobs back to the states, being tough on the border building a wall, great policies like USMCA, putting tariffs on China. Not paying Billions while other countries pay nothing when it comes to Paris Accord or the corrupt WHO. Having no wars with the economy booming. Lowest unemployment and using opportunity zones to help lower-income communities. Trump spent more money on HBCU than any other president, 32 million more than Obama. Being independent with energy. His narcissism, annoying tweets are part of the package I can deal with. All these accomplishments came with Obama spying on TRump, fake russia hoax, media lying every day, and other bullshit impeachments.
@5:212 nobody gives a fuck about Pence. In 2 years there is a good chance people could have more serious side effects like clots or other issues not like everyone is going to die. Even if that did happen, Desantis would be the easy 2024 republican candidate/president.
903.. yup, all those jobs he brought back, single handedly. im sure they sill pop up soon. it isnt like more jobs moved overseas during his watch..
Deletehe was just another racist imperialist, set on domination. America First being the slogan, and party name, of capitalist nazi sympathizers in the 1930s, revived by your guy.
Project Veritas just another disinformation project funded by the Koch brothers and other big capitalist donors. Follow that money, honey.
I agree with his america first policy.
ReplyDeleteHowever since he intentionally tosses red meat to attract white supremacists who gladly wave the confederate flag and who would have no compunction of hanging non whites up on a tree, he is dangerous to me. I have a couple of questions: If Trump didn't claim the election was stolen but you read it, what would you have done? Did you always think mainstream media was biased? If respect for law and order is one of Trump's policy points, why did he encourage his supporters to go to the capital and "save" our country? Officers were physically assaulted for just doing their job. Are you saying you don't believe the mainstream media at all? Im curious to know your answer to these questions. Instead of name calling and shutting folks down, we should try to at least understand why someone believes in something. Forget liberals and conservatives. Talk American to American.
Sorry
ReplyDeleteMy questions are specifically for Anon2323.
@6:53 you can comment on race all day long and twice on Sunday for all we give a fuck, but we see it for what it is - a deflection RED HERRING. Dont like that we point it out? TOO BAD. Only a self-loathing sociopath would prefer a narcissistic megalomaniac, while talking about rights being taken away. That sounds crazy and stupid AF so thank you for confirming what a nutjob you are.
ReplyDelete@11:01 am...
Delete6:53 is a warrior. A real gangsta on the keyboard. I will bet 2 pay checks that they don't talk that sh^t in mixes company without laughing it off like a real "simp".
@9:03 Fuck Trump. He put himself and his family first. He couldnt give a fuck about you or any other American. Ran on Mexico building the wall and then took money from the military and their families to build next to nothing. Ran on cheaper, better healthcare and then tried to dismantle it during a pandemic without anything in it place. The tax cuts were a gift to rich. Run on America first while he mocks and taunts American states that are doing with disasters. Ran a healthy economy into the ground and no infrastructure plan. GTFOOH.
ReplyDelete903 "in two years there is a good chance people could have more serious side effects'. HA! Information brought to by the latest in propaganda news or pulled out of somewhere else. Lemme guess.
ReplyDeleteW4s. I’ve argued with you plenty. I respect your point about the red meat. The same danger you see against nonwhites from Trump supporters I see with Biden and friends. But instead of hanging me from the nearest tree because of my skin color, I’d be hung for my refusal to shut the fuck up and refusal to repeat the party line. The scumbags in dc will eventually come for your big mouth too. Glad we’re at least allies who want to put America First. I’d like to think I’d be brave enough to intervene if this country ever tried to hang you or anyone else because of your skin color or political beliefs. Anon2323 reasons for voting for Trump are the same as mine.
ReplyDelete11:01 thanks for the chuckle. We sociopaths need a good laugh when we don’t have time to torture kittens and puppies.
@12:52 pm
Delete...I didn't think I was arguing i thought i was debating and discussing. Anywho. Who doesn't want their country first? However the country will only be first if it's united and when all of its citizens are treated with respect, honesty, honor, and dignity. Now we've never had this hence the question asked by many including myself "when has America ever been GREAT?" Thanks for "hoping you think you will be brave enough". However if the day ever came that folks are hung we won't be banking on your bravery. The days of yesterday are long gone. We got this. So you speak for non stop Anon2323?
Ani,
ReplyDeleteI know many non conservatives who refuse to get the shot.
Get out of your bubble
Not 903 but…. Whatever the reputation of Project Veritas, CNN exec is on video saying they fear monger and they helped to get Trump out. That’s a provable fact. My opinion is the exec was bragging as he disclosed that info. Is that what we want in American news? Are these people to be believed or do they have an agenda to push? Watch the video. They have an agenda and they admit it.
ReplyDelete140. this is not news. the whole damn system fear mongers. that gets attention, viewership, and brings in the money.
DeleteAbsolutely @3:28 pm...
DeleteFolks knock, poo poo and misuse the word "woke" but call it what you like...too many on this blog seem as if they are now just becoming woke. They call liberals names, say folks are drinking the kool aid all the while talking about how the government and mainstream media need to be questioned and held to a standard that's beneficial to all of its citizens. Duhh. Did you just learn that? MLK was murdered because he spoke of this. Malcolm x was depicted as evil. Damn a man took a knee for justice and he lost his job. I can go on. So you're now woke. But I think Trump is a lunatic and that the jan 6th raid on the capital was a terrorist attack by his followers.
Waiting… I don’t care about Trump. If one side wants an audit, an audit should take place. Fighting against an audit means you have something to hide. I watched poll watchers give accounts of despicable behavior that may have involved irregularities. Audits and investigations are warranted. I want to keep both sides honest.
ReplyDeleteI’ve always mistrusted the media, government and have seen first hand bad behavior from cops. I’ve also seen cops go above and beyond. I treat them as individuals. But when a cop makes an accusation, I need more than he said she said. I want to see the bodycam or other evidence. A cop’s word means no more to me than the word of any other stranger.
I don’t believe Trump thought things would get out of hand. He wants his worshippers and he wants all to see he is worshipped. I had friends in DC that day. Where they were, it was all peaceful until their hotel was attacked by Antifa. I don’t really know what happened at the Capitol. I know there were people breaking windows to get in. I also know cops let a group in. I’ve seen footage. I characterized it as a riot. I’ve said before Im not quick on the draw to label angry protestors attacking a government building as terrorists. It’s our building, right? The people’s building. Anyone who attacked a cop or civilian should be charged accordingly. Neither one of us wants a bunch of racists or gangs or mobs or dirtbag politicians deciding what’s just. We the people, American to American should get to decide. But to do that we have to find better people to vote for and sadly I think that is a lost cause. The swamp has the door locked and barricaded. I don’t think we the people are ever getting back in. Peace.
@2:17pm...
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your view. Too many people refuse to just listen. You don't have to tell me about the government's ability to show what it wants to be seen. I've lived it waay before Trump took office. For centuries African Americans have marched, fought, died, preached, rioted because of how we are treated by the government, ignorant people and mainstream media but never disrespected the capital by breaking in. When we refuse to tolerate the lies perpetrated against us do you know what we are told? "Leave the country if you don't like it." or "The media doesn't lie". or "the government would never do..." you fill in the blanks. The swamp has now come your way. It was just a matter of time before it happened. This isn't new. I don't care about a party (dem/rep). It's new to some of you because the bulls^it didn't effect you. It wasn't your concern. It was those people's problem. They are uneducated, on welfare, unwed, lazy, etc. Maybe you don't think those thoughts but many people do. We the people will get it back. One thing my resiliency has taught me is that this too shall pass. Finally Trump couldn't drain the swamp because he's part of the swamp like all other politicians. Stay safe. Again thanks for explaining. Peace
@2:17 - that is such nonsense. They've had recount after recount and now an audit by the Cyber Ninja Turtles, an untrained, unprofessional, biased clown group. The audit is not legitimate nor credible.
ReplyDeleteTrump didn't think things would get out of hand?? He was banking on it. And when it did, by all accounts, he was enjoying every minute of it. "People breaking windows to get in". They beat the living crap out of quite a few officers. The one cop was killed but "officially" died of "natural causes" because he left the area alive; as if he just went to work and fell out. They had a noose all ready for Pelosi. But sure "they broke a few windows". And no, stop believing the bullshit, they had no right to attack the government building for the sole purpose of interfering with the counting of the electoral votes to try and get Trump installed. You are NUTS.
@4:19 you sure do have the patience of a saint. LOL.
@6:11 pm...
ReplyDeleteI've heard that before but im no saint, lmao. I also like to hear from people whose views are different from my own. I grew up and live in a diverse community--republic/Dems. Various cultures. Im naturally curious. Im also surprised as to why so many people believe that Trump just wasn't for everybody and simply lost the election. No lo se. Lol
@Waiting I appreciate having a discussion and I am glad we can agree America First is the way it should be. I never wanted to get into politics or watch CNN, fox, never like Bill O'Reilly. Joe Biden was hiding in his basement while Trump was busting his ass with jam-packed rallies and 95 miles of highway in Arizona giving him parades. I absolutely would have believed the election was stolen and 80 million-plus people agree. If Hillary Clinton would have asked for a forensic audit of certain states, I would not have been against it, like many people are. Have you ever wondered why someone who won the popular vote (only because 70% voted from new york and cali) did not want to audit the close states?
ReplyDeleteIf Obama went against Trump, would be tougher for me to answer that.
What if you read 2000 police officers injured and 25 Americans including a cop dead orrrrrr 140 officers were assaulted with 0 deaths. Which one would be the worst insurrection since the civil war or the BLM ANTIFA and left-liberal riots last summer?
TRump has 0 deaths at his rallies, 0 deaths protests, with 0 officers killed in 4 years I would believe that is law and order.
https://www.policemag.com/585160/more-than-2-000-officers-injured-in-summers-protests-and-riots
Good news @waiting is you won't be waiting much longer to see the Maricopa election audit results. I will look like a fool if nothing comes to fruition, however, I cannot see anything less than a 100k plus discrepancy.
Key things watch for:
1. election audit
2. Durham report
3. Ghisaine Maxwell trial
@anon2323
DeleteThanks for sharing your opinion. Let me say that America first means different things to different people. To me it means that ALL citizens are treated fairly; that we support US companies and its workers;that our borders are real borders but that we continue to welcome people from every country--legally. The government acknowledges, corrects and pays for destruction caused by its past and continued bias actions towards AA citizens. This is a start. Now the sources that you site obviously share your views. Why do you compare bad behavior to make a point? Law and order shouldn't be based on a comparison of who killed more/less. Never has a wild unhinged group attacked our government and the capital. Doesn't law and order mean using our court system? Didn't the court cases prove there was no widespread/systemic "stealing the vote"? Im curious why didn't you call for an audit of past elections? Will you always want an audit? Do you think this was the first time an election was stolen? Your repeating the comment that Biden was hiding in a basement leads me to think that you really believe everything Trump says. If you want to believe that the election was stolen that is your right. In the past you've shared how you don't care about your fellow AA US citizens' social justice fight. That's not America First is it? I haven't been swayed by your argument but thanks for sharing. Stay safe
Trump doesn't even buy the election fraud. He's just taking your money.
ReplyDeletehttps://slate.com/news-and-politics/2021/07/trump-save-america-leadership-pac-keeping-usd75-million.html
The entirety of Donald Trump’s life so far has been, essentially, a string of grifts, and so it’s unsurprising that his presidential (and post-presidential) life has been no different. The election outrage that Trump fomented in pockets of deep-red Trump country has shaken the democratic foundations of the country and, once again, allowed Trump to pull off a sleight of hand and pocket tens of millions of dollars. The Washington Post reports that Trump’s Save America leadership PAC, which raised some $75 million in the first half of 2021 on the back of his barrage of lies about the 2020 election, has yet to spend any of that money in support the recounts, ballot reviews, and other shenanigans he inspired in Republican-run statehouses across the country. Ahead of the July 31 filing date for how the organization has spent its money, Trump confidantes explained to the Post that Trump was “uninterested in personally bankrolling the efforts, relying on other entities and supporters to fund the endeavors.”
Instead, Trump’s keeping the money to play around with—though a Trump adviser dutifully clung to the Trump election racket, telling the Post that Trump had not ruled out spending the money on state ballot review efforts “at some point down the road.” Uh-huh. Instead, the money has gone to funding Trump’s professional lifestyle, which is inextricably intertwined with Trump’s personal existence and the ecosystem of Trump’s long grift.
@ANON2323...
ReplyDeleteOne more question:
How are you and others saying with certainty that the election was stolen BEFORE the audit? What facts do you have to even make this assertion? What am i missing? Ok thanks
AZ Central:
ReplyDeletehttps://www.azcentral.com/story/opinion/op-ed/ej-montini/2021/07/29/5-7-million-new-reasons-why-arizonas-sham-election-audit-fraud/5412349001/
Is the game fair if you buy off the refs?
Arizona's sham election audit is a fraud
Imagine if you found out, after the NBA Finals concluded, that the league had not paid the salaries of the referees who were officiating the games.
Imagine if you found out that, instead of the NBA, a wealthy group of Milwaukee Bucks fans had gotten together and paid the refs.
And, not only did they pay them, but they shelled out millions of dollars.
Just how much credence would you put in the series' results?
That’s pretty much what has happened with the sham election audit orchestrated by Arizona Senate President Karen Fann and her Republican colleagues.
We now know, after disclosures from the unqualified, totally biased “auditors”, as reported by the Arizona Mirror, that five conspiracy-spreading groups doled out more than $5.7 million for the count.
Groups like America’s Future, chaired by former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn, who would be in jail were it not for a pardon from his pal. And a group headed by Trump’s former lawyer, Sidney Powell. It goes on. Big, big money from people spreading unfounded claims about the election.
The conspiracy-spouting head of the unqualified Cyber Ninjas, who conducted the sham audit, said in a statement, “Our sponsors have raised and provided over $5 million; and tens of thousands of you have prayed for the work of our hands to determine (the) truth, whatever it may be...”
Determine truth?
HA!
We have had plenty of indications that this entire escapade has been a sick joke, based on the amateurish, bumbling, completely unprofessional way the Cyber Ninjas and their cohorts have operated. Now we have 5.7 million more reasons why the audit is a fraud.
A hoax.
A self-fulfilling flimflam bought and paid for by individuals willing to fork over big money for their preferred and pre-determined “truth”.
It’s a pathetic irony, really. A sad sign of our times.
When you can’t prove a rigged election, you stage a rigged audit.
I’m not saying election was stolen. I’ve argued for an audit and investigation based on the testimony of dozens of poll workers/watchers. Some seemed “out there” but most seemed credible. So let’s find out via audits and investigations. If there’s no dirt under the rug, lifting it to prove accusers wrong should be a no brainer. Elections should be audited routinely. Don’t we all want the assurance of fair elections?

DeleteThere was an investigation. Remember when dripping Guilani went before the courts? Why didn't Trump request an audit after 2016? Nobody believed he won. He should have requested an audit to prove he won. Which ones seemed "out there" to you?which were credible? Find out via audits and investigations? And then what? I must declare that Trump has his supporters working hard for him. Y'all are relentless with the stop the steal and calls for an audit.
Just say the election was corrupt + leave the rest to me,’ Trump told acting attorney general, according to an aide’s notes
ReplyDeleteNotes of a phone call released to Congress show that President Donald Trump pressed the Justice Department to declare the 2020 election corrupt, even as top officials pushed back. The president bluntly urged acting attorney general Jeffrey Rosen in late 2020 to back his claims of voter fraud, which senior Justice officials repeatedly told him were false.
Arizona isn't an audit. It is a farce.

VERIFY: Yes, a lawsuit challenging election results did reference a county that doesn't exist
A declaration within the lawsuit referenced Edison County, Michigan. But Michigan doesn't have an Edison County, nor does it have any town or city named Edison.

This weekend, some news outlets and social media users alike pointed out that a document included in a lawsuit filed by Sidney Powell to challenge the election results referenced a county that doesn’t exist.
The highlighted county was Edison County, Michigan. On top of claims that the county doesn’t exist, some people said it wasn’t similar in name to any county in Michigan and others claimed that there isn’t an Edison County anywhere in the United States.
THE QUESTION
Did one of the lawsuits challenging election results reference irregularities in a county that doesn’t exist?
THE ANSWER
Yes. And it’s true there’s no Edison County anywhere in the United States.
WHAT WE FOUND
The document Edison County was mentioned in was the declaration of Dr. Navid Keshavarz-Nia in one of Sidney Powell’s lawsuits. She previously worked with the Trump campaign on election lawsuits but has since been released by their campaign and has continued challenging the election results independently.
Edison County, Michigan is mentioned on page seven. The declaration says “Vice President Biden received more than 100% of the votes at 5:59 PM EST on November 4, 2020 and again he received 99.61% of the votes at 2:23 PM EST on November 5, 2020. These distributions are cause for concern and indicate fraud.” Edison County is the only specific county mentioned in the declaration.
However, a list of Michigan’s counties shows that there is no Edison County. In fact, there are only two counties in Michigan that start with E -- Eaton and Emmet. There are only three counties in Michigan that end in -SON -- Mason, Dickinson and Jackson.
104. No. The witnesses I saw were more credible than this.
ReplyDelete@12:36 says " Don’t we all want the assurance of fair elections?". NO, we don't. There is no "assurance" of anything from the totally discredited Cyber Ninja Turtles. ZERO, ZILCH, NONE.
ReplyDelete12:49 That's great that this has been divulged, but frankly, that was already a given. He was screaming about it all over the news and Twitter. His supporters are so dimwitted, they'll claim it is fake news, even though he was very loud about it. How many times didn't his cultists try and claim he didn't mean something and he made them look like asses, by saying that he meant exactly what he said.

ReplyDelete@ James "cmon man" that person who wrote the article is not aligned with Trump, he is irrelevant. Spaceforce/TRump have it all why would Mike LIndell offer 5 million to anyone that can prove his evidence is faulty? It does not matter have amazing and detailed the forensic audit is, people will slander because they are nervous for the outcome.
@waiting if you are a critical thinker ( not saying you aren't) and research deeply you can find the truth. Dominion and these machines have to go. Dems more than republicans have been totally against them going back to 2004 with Pelosi. I mean let's be serious these machines reside in Arizona, wisonsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia, does not pass the smell test. So lets audit the fuck out of every state red , blue, and purple and make sure our elections are safe and secure. A forensic audit. Let's not forget Trump is the first president in over 100 years to gain votera (12 million voters!!!!) and lose, fishy. The most popular president ever cannot even get more than 10,000 views on youtube and gets more dislikes, again that's fishy. You do not have to be swayed you will see the fraud very soon when Maricopa comes early August.

@anon2323...
DeleteMaybe I'm not a critical thinker but i know a slicker when i sees a slicker. Im just a product of the NYC doe educational system--a city gal thru and thru but I can spot a bullsh^ter rather quickly. Now if you believe the sh^t will be exposed next week, i believe you believe it. Let me ask you this: will the results make America better?
Anon 2323,
ReplyDeleteThe evidence from the AZ Central piece is compelling as is the fact that Trump lawyer Sidney Powell used the I have a right to lie defense in court to defend herself because there was no fraud that could have overturned the election and she knew it. Trump not spending money donated to him to fight election fraud on actual election fraud investigations shows this is all about raising money and nothing more.
The Cyber Ninjas audit is about as legitimate as a degree from Trump University.
I can think critically. You are not convincing me and I am not convincing you.Let's move on.
6:06 look at the vaccination rate map for nyc by zip code. Those Bronx and Brooklyn neighborhoods or Manhattan neighborhoods north of the Upper West Side with low vax rates. They are not right wing neighborhoods. They vote blue and are unvaccinated in your own back yard. Maybe we should start rounding them up and force jabbing them? Love to see Deblasio try that and expose his authoritarian ways to the very people he claims to care about. In nyc vax hesitancy is NOT from right wingers. Same for DC. But you go ahead and direct your anger toward the right wingers in other parts of the country instead of the guy sitting next to you on the subway or the next parent you have a face to face with. Ps I’m a vaccinated right winger who believes my body, my choice…. and that includes abortion. Yup, pro choice, vaccinated Republican. Imagine that. Want M4A too. I’m Republican because the democrats have lost their fucking minds.
ReplyDelete@7:57am...
ReplyDeleteYou're also a republican who generalizes.
So now you're believing the media?
Isn't it OUR backyard? Or are you just ASSuming that you know where 6:06 lives? I'm a Democrat. I haven't lost my mind yet but if Thump Slippery Guilani and crew keep babbling, tossing out raw meat to the gang and mixing up that fabulous Orange-aid i just might nah who am i kidding, this mind won't be lost. Hah hah hah.
1032. The numbers are the numbers. I couldn’t care less. Maybe the data collectors are lying and we have 100% vaccination rate. Maybe they’re lying and there’s zero transmission. The same people COVID scaredy cats listen to are the same people putting out the numbers. Believe them or don’t. But you can’t say the numbers are right when you use them to make your arguments without accepting the same data when someone else uses them. 6: 06 works in nyc. It’s his backyard. Retired in July. Not my back yard anymore. I hope those selfish Trump voting, nut job piece of shit antivaxers in BK, BX, Morningside and Washington Heights don’t contaminate you. They need to be rounded up and jabbed ASAP or jailed and isolated forever. I’ll start the petition…. Lock em up! It’s so inconvenient when nyc black and brown people behave like all those Trump voting white supremacists, isn’t it? Sarcasm aside. Vaccine hesitancy exists because people of all races and political beliefs don’t trust the government. And I can’t say they’re foolish for their distrust.
ReplyDeleteANYBODY, right wing or left wing, white, black or brown not vaccinating is because of right wing propaganda lies and they all seem to spew the same talking points when they talk about this vaccine. But right wingers cant have it both ways. They can't praise Trump for the speed of the vaccine (nevermind that the delivery was a complete and utter disaster) while in the same breath say the vaccine shouldnt be trusted because it was rushed. Which is it?
ReplyDeleteSpeed and trustworthiness can be 2 separate issues. I don’t fully trust the vaccine because I don’t trust Big Pharma and the politicians they donate to. My opinion has nothing to do with how fast they produced it. I weighed personal risks and got vaccinated anyway.
ReplyDeleteWhat right wing media are the people in those zip codes watching that tell them they shouldn’t get vaccinated or tell them info that leads them to doubt? Seriously, you think these people are watching right wing media? These are very blue neighborhoods. These residents are ignoring Obama’s former VP who is the current democrat president and ignoring the first female and nonwhite democrat vp? They’re instead choosing to believe vile media run by Trump supporters? That makes no sense at all. Your argument has no merit. Distrust of government goes beyond geography, race, political affiliation.
@3:35 speed without efficacy is NOTHING. If the vaccine is worthless, then it's worthless. Yes, I do think "these people" are watching right-wing media because it is everywhere. Which is why you have seemingly perfectly normal people talking about Michelle Obama being a male, and spewing QAnon talking points. People who you would least expect and who are not OTHERWISE considered right-wing talking about sex rings. I've had very "left-wing" friends say the weirdest shit, it's like the Invastion of the Body Snatchers". I've come across it on YouTube, black guys and gals spewing right wing talking points and they reach a certain audience. So yes...I do thing "these people" are not necessarily "watching" but being exposed to right-wing media.
ReplyDeleteWhether you believe it or NOT. YOU are not around "these people" to know, are you? Well I am. So it is YOUR argument that has no merit, if your knee-jerk denial can even be called an argument. It is certainly not LEFT-WING media, or "Obama's former VP", or the "first female and nonwhite Democrat" who is spewing anti-vaccination propaganda is it? Or MSNBC, or CNN, or Salon, or Politico, or HuffPost. Yes, distrust of government goes beyond, YET in this specific virus crisis it is RIGHT-WINGERS who are beating that drum every single hour of every day. You guys wear it on your fucking sleeves and yet try to deny that you are the ones furthering that talking point.
"It’s so inconvenient when nyc black and brown people behave like all those Trump voting white supremacists, isn’t it?"
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with you RACISTS who are always dragging black and brown people into your arguments? It's not really about black vs. white, but degenerate cultists vs. sane people, and that encompasses both races.
335 "my opinion has nothing to do with how fast they produced it". And?? Is not all about you now is it?
ReplyDeleteNew city workers are going to have to show they're vaccinated or they won't be able to start work. The rest of you, if you don't want to vaccinate then you'll have to get tested, preferably on your own dime, and time. You get sick, use up your sick days. And if you're going to finagle working remotely make sure you figure out a way to get your own bulletin board done. You want to game the system, have at it. But stop expecting others to carry you on their back.
"He who is being carried does not realize how far the town is". African proverb.
You just made it about me 8:36. I explained the flaw in your faulty logic. You had nothing left to say about your faulty logic so you decided to change the subject and make it about me. I’m vaccinated and retired. Don’t care about nyc and their new hires. Their business, not mine.
ReplyDeleteThis is dedicated to all Trumpets:
ReplyDeletePolitico has examined how Trump spent money do aged to him this year.
A review of election filings from Make America Great Again PAC, Save America PAC, and the Save America Joint Fundraising Committee show that not a single penny was transferred or contributed from those Trump-affiliated entities to GOP candidates or committees involved in the midterm elections. Nor did Trump's various groups write a check to support the audit in Arizona that he has repeatedly praised in statements and suggested would lead to the overthrowing of the 2020 election results.
Trump’s groups brought in more than $80 million during the first half of 2021, a large chunk of which was transferred in from Trump-affiliated accounts. He used some of his funds on things like salaries for aides and political advisers, as well as events, travel expenses and fundraising outreach to supporters. He also spent more than $8 million in legal fees paid to various firms and attorneys to advance his attempts to change the results of the 2020 election and defend himself in a second impeachment trial. The one expenditure Trump did make to an outside group was to one in his own orbit: a $1 million contribution to America First Policy Institute, the think tank a handful of his former aides launched when he lost the White House.
You made it about yourself moron. You saw my post about right wing cultists and came running like a dog to a bone. Not my problem that you lack reading comprenhension and reasoning skills. You rebutted nothing about right wing media taking the lead on spreading vaccination lies and have zero proof that black and brown people are pulling the information out their ass, since clearly it doesnt come from liberal media. That you dont understand the point being made is on you and your limited thinking abilities. Their concerns are specific and parroted right wing talking points.
ReplyDeleteYou're vaccinated, retired, guess what? Nobody CARES and again you make it about you. You dont care about new hires..its information, nobody gives a fuck that you don't care. Since it doesnt impact you in any way, shut the fuck up and stay out of it.
8:22 great information but alas, the Trumpets would rather sell their first born before denouncing any of Trump's fraudulent and self-serving activities.
ReplyDeleteYour logic is still faulty, @9:00. Racists like you think black and brown people are so stupid they watch and believe everything right wingers say. I suppose you think they need your white voice telling them how wrong they are. Trust the government. Trust the fda, you nonwhite nyc fools who rely on the Sean Hannities for your info. 9:00 Your logic is still flawed. No way around it.
ReplyDeleteAnon2323 and others are right AND Trump’s a dick. Happy now?
ReplyDelete7:22 stop trying to talk for black folks because nobody gives a fuck about your opinions on those matters. Just like you pulled out of your ass that I'm white because that's all you see is black and white. You still sound stupid, uninformed and out of your league. No way around *that*.
ReplyDeleteI’ll speak how I chose, 1:50. Still can’t explain how my logic was faulty, can ya? I outlined what a piss poor job your side did. You just told me to shut up. Seems you’re the stupid, uninformed out of your league one here.
ReplyDelete6:03 - here, let me translate your post for you "waaah, waaah, waaah", [insert tiny violin here].
ReplyDelete6:03's idea of an outline: "I suppose you think they need your white voice telling them how wrong they are. Trust the government. Trust the fda, you nonwhite nyc fools who rely on the Sean Hannities for your info. 9:00"
ReplyDeleteThat incoherent babble is not an outline. It's just STUPID, and nobody but you mentioned "Hannities", who has come out FOR vaccines, so it's clear that you cannot READ nor comprehend.
BTW fool @ 6:03. Talk to the wall or yourself because I'm not reading or responding to anymore of your pathetic whining. There are way more interesting convos on this blog than your desperate attempts to, well who the hell knows what point you were trying to make, other than, black people aren't vaccinating in great numbers either because of distrust of government. Such a newsflash. NOT. Bottom line RIGHT WINGERS spread VACCINE MISINFORMATION. You can deny it til you're blue in the face but anyone with a brain understands this. Idiot. And now, I'm done with this thread, and you're on MUTE. Haha.
ReplyDeleteThe last step in losing an argument is “I’m not talking to you anymore”. Your it’s all Trumptards’ fault had been dismantled and you know it.
ReplyDeleteRead the article, not just the lead.
ReplyDeleteIf true, that doesn't mean the events of Jan. 6 weren't dangerous, both to members of Congress and to the health of American democracy. What it does suggest is that the narrative of what happened that day is pretty straightforward and that it played out very publicly: Then-President Donald Trump lied for two months that the election had been stolen from him, a lot of people believed his lies, and then they (violently) acted accordingly.
There didn't need to be a secret conspiracy. Instead, it sounds more like self-radicalization as a mass phenomenon.
The term "self-radicalization" has been used in recent years to describe the underlying causes of lone-wolf terror attacks like the gunman who killed 49 people at Orlando's Pulse nightclub, or the Pensacola shooter who killed three at the Naval Air Station in 2019. Dylann Roof, who killed nine parishioners at a Charleston, S.C. church, was also described in such terms. In these cases, the phrase roughly describes individuals who were motivated to violence after seeking out and absorbing radical ideologies over the Internet and through social media. What is Jan. 6, if not a similar phenomenon — after a pandemic year in which millions of people had increasingly turned to the Internet for community and consolation — only with all the wolves gathered in a single, very important location for the same purpose?
None of this gets Trump off the hook, of course. Despite what the term suggests, self-radicalizers never truly act on their own. They need inspiration. The people who came to Washington D.C. on Jan. 6 did so at Trump's invitation, and then marched to the Capitol at his behest. He didn't have to plot with anybody — he just had to rile up his followers, then point them in the right direction.
