This money the union has collected in 2015, 2017 and 2018 adds up to hundreds of dollars that could have been used my members to spend as opposed to paying higher salaries for union officials. When you take a look at payroll portal soon that $150 or so of union dues would pile on to the other years. In 20 years I only remember having 1 or 2 snow days built in. Instructional time isn't the issue if you have 4 snow days. If the UFT wants credit get us a longer memorial day weekend when we don't use snow days.<br />The whole thing was probably a scam so that UFT could look like they fought for us.
