This is from the NY Post:
A second woman has accused Gov. Andrew Cuomo of sexual harassment, according to a new report.
Charlotte Bennett, a 25-year-old former aide to Cuomo, told the New York Times that the governor asked her inappropriate personal questions and had said that he was open to relationships with women in their 20s.
More from Newsday:
"He asked me if I believed if age made a difference in relationships and he also asked me in the same conversation if I had ever been with an older man," Bennett told the newspaper, adding the governor asked her if she had sex in any of her recent relationships.
Bennett said she "absolutely" viewed those as clear overtures to a sexual relationship.
The accusation came just days after Lindsey Boylan, a former state deputy secretary for economic development, published an online essay accusing Cuomo of kissing her without her consent and making inappropriate comments. Cuomo denied the allegations.
Add in the nursing home scandal and the resulting bullying of Assemblyman Ron Kim for exposing Cuomo, the result is a weakened governor in need of friends.
I ask again why did the UFT and NYSUT not lean heavily on their wounded governor friend to waive the teacher evaluation law this year instead of just agreeing to one that has observations and Measures of Student Learning in the middle of a pandemic?
Any judgement made against an employee based on their pedagogical skills in a pandemic is absurd and meaningless.
Because te uft is a great union, didn't you hear? The strongest in the country. Why pay dues?
ReplyDeleteLol what a weird transition... guy is accused of sexual harassment soooooo.... yeah let's not have have observations
ReplyDeleteObviously, Mulgrew doesn’t care and is completely indifferent to the potential additional and unnecessary suffering of teachers, Mulgrew could have gotten Cuomo to agree to waive the teacher evaluation law simply by asking. Think about that. Mulgrew wouldn’t even make the effort to ask. So when you’re being observed by a horny Cuomo-like administrator who starts asking you about your sex life , after he’s observed you -realize how these individuals are enabled to do so - whether it be an incompetent union president, an indifferent bureaucracy or a society that gives out an Emmy award to a revolting governor.
ReplyDeleteI still remember the first time I was observed as a young new teacher way back in 1990.. The guy observing me was one of the main Social Studies administrators for NYS - a John-Paul something or other. After observing me teaching 9th grade Social Studies and going over my lesson after the class left, he told me I looked very stressed out and offered me a blow job. I was shocked, disgusted and told him to get out of my room. He promptly went to the principal and scheduled another observation with me for the next day. I told the principal under no circumstances was I allowing him back into my room. The principal demanded a full explanation and suggested I have union representation. After I told the principal what happened, in front of him, the APO, the Chapter Leader and school secretary, he laughed his head off for a full five minutes straight. The only ones that didn’t laugh were the women in the room. I understood right there and then something I never had before and never forgot - how truly horrible sexual harassment is. Cuomo should be impeached immediately.

Our polling shows @AFTunion members overwhelmingly trust their union and the CDC to provide sound advice about how and when schools should reopen. 8 out of 10 AFT educators support a return to in-person learning with safety guardrails in place.
Cuomo is horny, very horny.
ReplyDeleteHe probably stayed on the porn channel throughout the entire pandemic.
Stay tuned folks, Cuomo's leadership is not sustainable.
and the ending of the soap opera could end up just like the Trumpster's
grand finale.
"Friend" sums it up. Mulgrew recently called Carranza his friend (CTE awards night).
ReplyDeleteTo be a friend with those you negotiate/contest with is a difficult line. There must be the full understanding that negotiations is purely business and completely separate from the friendship. Once you step into the meeting that friendship is left outside.
Mulgrew has shown time and time again that his friends are more important than those he was "elected" to represent.
Key Understanding of the collaboration of the UFt with the DOE
ReplyDeleteUnity is a one way street.
With Mulgrew it was always "In unity" and Carranza always ended his bullshit letters
with "In Unity."
I always accepted that they were dog whistling their "one way street" autocratic leadership.
except when they were collaborating against the humanity and dignity of educators.
Their "In unity" the was code for the collaboration of Mulgrew and Carranza to partner
against the humanity and dignity of educators.
There were so many disgusting acts of vanity and callousness by Carranza.
I will mention two of them so he doesn't let the door hit him on the way out.
1) The decision to keep the schools open until March 13, 2021. This contributed to the
Covid deaths of more than 100 of our colleagues.
2) The decision to use of the Danielson rubric to evaluate teachers during the remainder of
the pandemic. This is another assault on teacher dignity and humanity. Mulgrew is part
of the collaboration and Mulgrew is definitely not part of the solution.
Carranza needs to grieve the unnecessary deaths of more than 100 DOE employees while
grieving his own friends and family that died as a result of Covid.
3) For many teachers working in the repressive organizational culture of the DOE is a
non-stop assault on their dignity.
Carranza's legacy in education is shall we say "disturbing". It is time for him to find a different gig.
I wonder if King Cuomo still feels “We owe it to the American people to Believe Survivors...”
ReplyDeleteI certainly believe Lindsey Boylan

The allegations of sexual assault against Judge Kavanaugh are disturbing and deeply concerning. We owe it to the American people to #BelieveSurvivors. I call on the Senate to postpone any vote until these allegations are fully investigated.
Bronx ATR:what an awful situation, especially to a newbie!curious if had to answer for that...unspeakable....I had a coordinator make a sexual comment about me at a staff meeting.i reported it to the principal.it never happened again.but he continued to be a jackass in other ways just by being himself.when I was a long terms sub in long island when I was a pretty new teacher, the custodian made obscene gestures about me to my students while my back was turned.i knew because the class suddenly erupted in laughter.when i asked a student about it, he demonstrated the gesture that the custodian did.i told him to stop his shit and the next time, he will be reported to the principal.that was the last time we ever spoke. I have heard stories from colleagues about inappropriate advances as well.also people sleeping their way to become an AP in my old school.this is why the DOE is shit.

#BREAKING: Tonight I issued a statement regarding assertions of sexual harassment against Governor Cuomo.
As a New Yorker, a legislator, Chair of the Senate Ethics and Internal Governance Committee, and a survivor of sexual abuse, I am calling for Governor Cuomo to resign.
I’m a middle school teacher. Went back Wednesday. Kids came in Thursday. I get the call Friday evening that someone on my in person team tested positive for covid. I’m now remote again. But man, what a great 48 hours!
ReplyDelete@UFT
@UFTSolidarity
@cawcus
But #OpenTheSchools , right?
CNN’s Dana Bash asked Jen Psaki who Biden believes: The women who are now accusing Andrew Cuomo or Andrew and Jen refused to answer. Suddenly they no longer "Believe all women". They’re the biggest hypocrites on the planet.
ReplyDeleteGet this, Cuomo is calling for an independent investigator to look into the allegations against him. What he fails to add is that he is choosing the independent investigator!
ReplyDeleteNow the lefties are coming for Cuomo. Kissing their ass didn’t work, Andy. Hahahaha. Can’t wait to see what pandering fool they go after next. As much as I hate Cuomo, I’m not yet convinced he sexually harassed anyone. Serious charges deserve a serious investigation before we label him a sexual harasser. I hope it’s not true. I think it would drive Cuomo insane if he wound up going down for something he didn’t do when there’s so much other stuff he did do.....and that would put a smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteCuomo is going to choose the independent investigator, ha ha ha...
Yes indeed—the curse of a the 3rd term -and Cuomo was not ruling out a 4th term.. Now this really opens the door for a Republican Governor in the 2022 election. Maybe if Cuomo resigns — assuming an independent investigation presents clear evidence of these accusations- he could instead let a more moderate Democratic Lt. Governor Kathy Hochel from upstate -shine for the next 20 months. Her voting record from Congress—makes her appear as a maverick/ independent style Democrat. Does NY want the possibility of another 12 year Pataki style Republican Governor?
ReplyDeleteBut getting back to Cuomo- have the feeling he would have felt very comfortable working at FOX and Roger Ailes. The governor’s own words on believing accusers have come back to haunt him along with his book chapters on leadership and transparency during the pandemic. Still waiting for CNN to let him appear on his baby brother’s evening program or any one of its daily programs. Let him to explain to Wolf. Tapper or Anderson—the misinformation with the nursing home death count—and recent sexual harassment claims. Former US Attorney Preet Bhara fired by Trump in 2017 and now a CNN analyst —gave warnings about Cuomo possible political abuses back in 2012. Ironically, Bhara often appears on Andrew Cuomo’s program. Have to give credit to Brian Stelter’s program for covering Cuomo’s accusations—but it’s a CNN Sunday morning program. Let’s see how CNN covers Cuomo going forward. He has refused to go on the CBS Face The Nation. And why hasn’t Gillibrand made any comments? She destroyed Al Franken before any investigation or hearing could ever take place.
Hard to believe that Cuomo was a media darling—everywhere-except FOX—just 6 months ago. But just remember, Cuomo’s tenure as an effective political figure ‘ain’t over till the Fat Lady sings’ —unless he is also accused of sexual harassment by some fat lady out there.
If Cuomo stays on till the end of 2022–he would be a 21 month lame duck governor with severely diminished political influence. But if he doesn’t resign, maybe there is one thing he can do—perhaps he can try to push the State Legislature leaders to agree on passing some sort of reasonable early retirement incentive by July 1. Or at least let Kathy Hochel make that effort—but not sure how supportive she is with labor unions.
Pataki was great, he re-instated the benefits of Tier 4 so they were basically equal to Tier 3. A Republican has to have strong alliances with someone to maintain office, why not Labor?
ReplyDeleteSorry, but you're dreaming if you think Cuomo will support early retirement. Sadly, he has never been the friend of the municipal workforces.
Is that what Andrew Cuomo meant by ‘Excelsior’’ on all those new license plates? Will there eventually be a push to rename that Mario Cuomo Bridge in Rockland Country back to the ‘Tappan Zee’ name—which was always the favorite of the local community.? His father’s name really belongs on a major court house or some major state government building in Albany.
ReplyDeleteThe smile on DeBlasio’s face keeps getting wider and wider and Ed Koch is yelling -‘Andrew, serves you right’-’ from above/below or wherever he might be located. Cuomo (he has no choice)- is allowing the NY AG and a State Judge to appoint an independent committee to investigate these complaints. Unfortunately, no matter what any commission reports—Cuomo’s name is tarnished like most sexual harassment people both before and after him—except Trump. It’s tragic—he has 3 daughters, an ex wife, Kerry Kennedy, a few sisters and ex live-in lover-who left about 2 years ago. But his 92 year old mom will still love him, and baby brother Andrew will still speak with him—but never on his CNN evening program.
Anon 1:19 . It was Pataki who kept vetoing the 55/25 retirement—every time it arrived on his desk. I believe it was Gov.. David Patterson that signed it into law in 2010. It’s always a case of the lesser 2 evils—you would prefer another Pataki or maybe Rob Astorino or some other upstate Republican —over a Democrat? Which Republican has ever sided with labor unions in NY State. The only one I could think of was Al Damato -as US Senator in Washington. He did side with Democrats in Congress on labor issues -related to NY State. He had no choice.
ReplyDeleteThere are some educators that still prefer the anti-union Bloomberg over DeBlasio—that’s crazy .
ANDY IS BRUTAL, VINDICTIVE AND A BULLY.
ReplyDeleteLike Trump, he is unfit.
Never make the mistake of feeling sorry for him.
Spitzer signed 55-25.
ReplyDeleteYeah, he has the same investigator that the Catholic Church used to investigate themselves. And Cuomo chose her for the investigation. Probably hoping that the fact he’s Catholic will save him. Not in this life or the afterlife with his stance on abortion (especially the barbaric partial birth abortion) and eldercide. It’s time to excommunicate him from NYS as well. He makes Spitzer and Weiner look like very classy and moral dudes, seriously - those two Jewish guys are 10000 times better than Cuomo in every way and they are now pariahs. Wiener would’ve been the mayor of New York City and Spitzer would have been the first Jewish president. I’m not condoning their misdeeds but Cuomo’s a hell of a lot worse.
ReplyDeleteFor the record—David Patterson signed the 55/25 retirement for NYSUT in 2010—and Spitzer signed 55/25 for UFT in 2008. Pataki kept vetoing any early retirement bill that came to him during his last term.
ReplyDeleteI had some lucky Tier 4 friends that were able to comfortably retire earlier than they thought.
So, it is important to have a strong political labor union and not decide to just opt out despite how much you despise Mulgrew.
Like Jao Xidung, authoritarian Cuomo is happy to make you unemployed or even dead, on a whim, while signaling how virtuous he is.
ReplyDeleteLots of endoctrinated folks will nod in agreement.
NEW/BREAKING:
ReplyDelete@NYGovCuomo
offers another statement on sex harassment allegations.
"I now understand that my interactions may have been insensitive or too personal and that some of my comments, given my position, made others feel in ways I never intended."
Any candidate who will roll back the worst of Tier 6 is a good start. I'm retired, but union people have to stick together. No one should have to work for so long before retiring with dignity.
ReplyDeleteCuomo's admitting they misunderstood him because he can no longer deny everything - he wasn’t allowed to choose the independent investigator. He knows his goose is about to be tenderized, and cooked slowly and carefully. DeBlasio - ‘Use plenty of garlic, Chef James. This will be my best meal ever!’ Who’s the real Italian now, Andy?
ReplyDeleteCuomo: "Do you ever have sex with older men?"
ReplyDeleteAlso Cuomo: "Some of the things I have said have been misinterpreted as an unwanted flirtation"
So, Cuomo says he was just kidding around or his words were misinterpreted- with this young woman. Al Franken did an immature foolish camera stunt and Gillibrand destroyed him within 72 hours. He was finished as he resigned before there was any kind of Congressional hearing. She has been ‘crickets’ with the Cuomo’s situation. Why?
ReplyDeleteAn eri will only help those 55 and over. How many 55+ teachers work for the doe? Anyone know?
ReplyDeleteIt’s amazing. Whenever a jackass is called on some outrage uttered,ie, Trump on ingesting disinfectants, Cuomo wanting to play strip poker and show off his Clinton cigars or the overage thug in the back row that says he wants to slash your face with a box cutter, they all claim they were joking. Cuomo will get away with it also.
ReplyDeleteOPEN UP THE SCHOOLS!
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong with you people?
How did Cuomo end up in this crisis of confidence about his leadership?
ReplyDeleteAnswer: His poor judgment began with his becoming strange bedfellows with Mulgrew and Weingarten, a menage a trois, as it were, on educational issues.
Andy, just say it ain't so!
KKK: Your skin color tells me all I need to know. Once I know your color, I know exactly what to think of you and how to treat you.

ReplyDeleteMy body doesn't respond well to death.
In response to tons of black on Asian assaults, de blasio blames Trump. This is the who has our lives in his hands. What a buffoon.
ReplyDeleteDo not let the sexual harassment claims allow you to forget what he did with the nursing homes. Also remember Cuomo forced NYC to pay Eva’s Charter School rent because we wouldn’t give up more of our very limited space inside schools. Cuomo is no friend to NYC public school teachers. I’ll be partying like it’s pre-2020 if he’s removed!
ReplyDelete644. Trump never said to ingest disinfectant. Watch the full press conference when Trump spoke about it. This claim, like the "fine people on both sides" claim is another fake news hoax. Watch full videos. Stop believing edited videos shown to you by mainstream media. I agree with what you said about thugs and joking. Like you, I thought Cuomo would weasel out of this one but then he made the fatal mistake of apologizing (well sort of). Once you bow to the cancel culture mob, they know you're their bitch and you are toast. Wouldn't matter what I'm guilty of. I'd sooner kill myself than apologize when cancel culture assholes demand it.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the left Spitzer and Weiner have Jewish privilege AND white privilege. Based on the left's rules, Cuomo only has white privilege and therefore he's more acceptable to voters. If you're truly woke, you can't vote for a jew. Apparently in order to be anti racist now we must believe that Jews have had it too good. That can't possibly lead to anything bad, right?
ReplyDelete@11:58,
ReplyDeleteTrump certainly did say it. I watched it three times and wrote an article about it, comparing what would happen to a NYC teacher if he/she said the same thing. Trump claimed sarcasm. I believe that press conference was the first clear indication that his days were numbered. He defeated himself. -JM

ReplyDeleteHere are the exact quotes:
"A question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposedly we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that, too. Sounds interesting, right?"
"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful."
Trump: "I’m not putting anybody on a moral plane. What I’m saying is this: You had a group on one side and you had a group on the other, and they came at each other with clubs -- and it was vicious and it was horrible. And it was a horrible thing to watch.
"But there is another side. There was a group on this side. You can call them the left -- you just called them the left -- that came violently attacking the other group. So you can say what you want, but that’s the way it is.
Reporter: (Inaudible) "… both sides, sir. You said there was hatred, there was violence on both sides. Are the --"
Trump: "Yes, I think there’s blame on both sides. If you look at both sides -- I think there’s blame on both sides. And I have no doubt about it, and you don’t have any doubt about it either. And if you reported it accurately, you would say."
Reporter: "The neo-Nazis started this. They showed up in Charlottesville to protest --"
Trump: "Excuse me, excuse me. They didn’t put themselves -- and you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group. Excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name."
Sure 644—to apologize—never do it—a sign of weakness—Spoken like a true Trump cult member. And what does cancel culture have to do with anything. Oh wait a minute—you must be referring to the cancel culture when the Trump Party want to censure and kick the hell of any Republican that disagrees with the lies of the former clown President.
ReplyDeleteCuomo is doneeeee just like the woke people here already knew, the sheep finally seeing, omg he is bad, I loved his press conferences though, his emmy and book 🤣.
ReplyDelete@12:53 Snopes liberal bent website 🤣😂
awwww but your ok with Hilalry Clinton and Biden having Robert Byrd former KKK leader and pedophile as their mentor.
Watch at 2 min as he condemns you moron: TRump has Jewish grandkids!

Timw for a republican mayor DEms had plenty of chances here.
A2323, Personally, just added Snopes to confirm what I heard and watched myself. I actually voted for Trump because I believed he was the better candidate ,not because I believe he is completely sane. The press conference confirmed that to me - that said he is still a better candidate than Biden.
ReplyDeleteCuomo was, is and will always be the devil, and as the devil usually wins big in NYS, I believe he will persevere over what should see him in a jail cell. -JM
It is now March? Spring break pay?
ReplyDeleteSorry but I'm not going to pile on Cuomo just because I see politics differently.
ReplyDeleteThis is more fake outrage, or if you will, "fake news".
The sausage thing, big deal. Even the reporter says it's much ado about nothing.
Read what 1:02 put up. There's literally nothing there that's a problem. UV kills virii on surfaces. It would be nice if there was SOMETHING LIKE THAT, there isn't, but it would be nice. Imagine if no one ever thought of radiation treatment - gee, radiation is really deadly to people, but what if it was harnessed and controlled to kill the cancer cells? The person who came up with radioactive seed implantation thought the same way.
Charlottesville as reported by the media is a hoax. A lot of normal people who are for preserving history or against glorifying the Confederacy showed up. Some nutjobs on the left and right showed up there just to start and engage in fights.
Back to Cuomo. The most alarming thing is anyone can do this to ruin someone's life or career. Look what they did to Brett Kavanaugh. Another load of BS. Just because this time a leftist is the target doesn't make it ok.
To the OP - James does have a point though that our Union's job is to be "Teachers First". When you see a wounded animal you go for blood. They should have been able to get a deal out of him on evaluation in exchange for running interference for him on these BS lies and fake scandal.
Nope. No bleach drinking suggestion from Trump. You guys are reaching if you say that.

ReplyDeleteSo when will the 3rd sexual harassment complaint be made public? the 4th, the 5th, .....
ReplyDeleteChris Cuomo just said that he can’t cover his brother’s problems—although other CNN shows can. But remember, he had his big brother on at least 3 times since last spring—to laud his leadership and accomplishments. But guess who is covering Andrew’s recent accusations —-none other than good ol’ Hannity. But the most important question here is—Does Chelsea Handler still want have a date with him?
ReplyDeleteEverything is politics. Randi now says it is safe for schools to open because "we did the work." Trump wanted them open all along and he was called every name in the book. How anybody trusts or contributes to the uft or aft ill never know.
ReplyDeleteRemember Gillibrand’s tar and feathering of Al Franken, that led to his resignation, over goofy pictures of him grabbing women soldiers butts?
ReplyDeleteWhere’s her demands for Cuomo resignation? Franken had a completely untainted record up until those ridiculous pictures; he wasn’t simultaneously accused of a coverup that killed thousands of people. Cuomo needs to go NOW.

Fine people. Keep going on the Trump quote. You stopped before the end and left out the part where he condemned neo Nazis and white supremacists. The fine people he’s talking about are not neo nazis. Fake news by omission is still fake news. Did you do it intentionally or does your fake news transcript leave out what it doesn’t want you to see. Go on YouTube and watch the whole speech. Video also gives better context to words in general.
ReplyDeleteDisinfectant. “Is there a way we can do something like that?” Did ya miss that part, asshole? He’s spitballing ideas. Dumb to do since he’s no scientist but it’s not telling people to ingest disinfectant. What’s key is what happened in the weeks that followed Trump’s controversial and widely debunked comments—and there does appear to have been a rise in accidental poisonings thereafter.
If you ingest disinfectant, you have not ACCIDENTALLY poisoned yourself. You have poisoned yourself. If you did so because you thought Trump said to, you’re a moron.
ReplyDelete141. The problem with your argument is that you think insulting Trump and those who vote for him erase cancel culture. Brainwashed morons who watch msm just don’t know reality anymore. Cancel culture real. Trump douchey narcissist real. Both real. You just can’t wrap your head around the fact that even those who think Trump is a douchebag, hate Beijing Biden and the radical left more. Biden Harris making sure kids still in cages, no $15 minimum wage, no $2000 checks. The investor class is still more important than the working class. It’s just like having republicans in charge. Bombing brown people in Syria. Can’t forget that. .... yup just like republicans.
ReplyDelete5:05, The same thing can be said for teachers that went into a three day training 3/16-3/18 when told to do so by the DOE and a silent UFT. People follow their leaders suggestions and advice. When they aren’t advised, they follow orders. Very few people think for themselves. As a people we are continually lied to in some very large ways. If we were told the truth about certain things there would be a loss of control on the populace. Right now the media controls the narrative. They laughed when a high ranking Israeli defense minister said there’s a US space station on Mars. There’s 3.5 trillion tax dollars missing that our government can’t account for. Jeffery Epstein killed himself, even though the autopsy says otherwise. Oh yeah, and weed is good for you.
ReplyDeleteThe bottom line is that no women should ever be put in this situation. Its disgusting that in this day and age a women cant not feel comfortably going to work without having an asshole like the governor hitting on them. He admitted to some guilt then do yourself a favor and resign. Its not good enough anymore to say your sorry when there are millions of people out there that do respect women. He is just like his father. Useless and gets nothing done. Time to put respectful people in office and young people who have creative ideas that respect all walks of life.
ReplyDeleteIt is not only that Cuomo does not respect woman.

Dare I say some ethnic groups are more touchy feely than others. My Italian side is all in your face with hugs and kisses. But my Irish family is more of the handshake, pat on the back type of people. A man putting his hand on you isn’t always sexual harassment. Cuomo hasn’t been accused of anything Biden hasn’t been accused of. We have video of Biden touching and sniffing women while the women look very uncomfortable. If Cuomo has to go, so does Biden. Otherwise, get Cuomo on the nursing home scandal and let the other stuff go. I once had an openly gay Male AP. I’m a women. He would often flick my hair or touch my shoulder when he’d compliment my hair or outfit. He wasn’t trying to get in my pants. It was his way of being friendly. I pulled him aside and told him that doing what he did made me uncomfortable because we’re at work. He stopped. I’m not downplaying sexual harassment but if none of those women told Cuomo to stop, there’s no real story here. Men may make you their target, it doesn’t mean you have to embrace the role of victim.
ReplyDelete9;16 conclusion is cuomo respects no one.
ReplyDeleteLots of interesting comments. Most of us, as teachers, learned many years ago not to touch students. That can be difficult for some demonstrative teachers. Any unwanted and unsolicited touch from an authority figure can be misconstrued as sexual or aggressive by the offended party. Indeed, it can and has been used as a weapon by students against teachers. Teachers know this and how is it that the Governor of NYS doesn’t know it? Cuomo’s nonsense doesn’t fly. Before I became a teacher, I worked in private industry and we were warned not to date our coworkers, or say or do anything to objectify someone. That was during the 1980s. Maybe that particular company was ahead of its time, but as someone with a lot to lose Cuomo knew what he did was wrong. He just never thought he’d be called on it. The man is completely possessed by his ego. Looking at that picture of him with that young lady’s face in his hands tells me he was either high/drunk on an unknown substance and/or his ego had taken full control of him. (It also reminded me of when Joe Namath was loaded and told a female reporter he wanted to kiss her.) As an older guy in a position of power and fame, he was fishing. Who knows maybe it worked for him years ago, (he did get a Kennedy and still seems to have and be attracted to very specific type - Irish or Irish looking women) , but he hasn’t come to the realization he’s a senior citizen. I’m sure his ego is taking quite a beating at the moment from his rational mind. It’s really quite pathetic. He’s going to have to be impeached for manslaughter and go on Silver Singles for a date. I’m not sure if the ladies will be lining up. Those that might would be in their 50s and 60s, not their 20s and 30s.
ReplyDeleteMy question is why do these people send explicit text messages? Don't people know once you send a text or email it's like publishing it in the newspaper?
