If I am squeezed out because of my 20 years of seniority, I will hire my own attorney and file my own age discrimination lawsuit(s). The UFT is useless.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15921757.post-51621764210876497652007-05-11T17:50:00.000-04:002007-05-11T17:50:00.000-04:00I'm amazed that Ms. Weingarten has chosen to endor...I'm amazed that Ms. Weingarten has chosen to endorse Reorganization Volume 3. It really makes senior teachers a liability for principals, and it's incredible to contend that Klein's new Leadership Academy principals value experience.

Many of them haven't got any, and think they know everything.NYC Educatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12188066345722781723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15921757.post-37658520124322496412007-05-11T17:49:00.000-04:002007-05-11T17:49:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.NYC Educatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12188066345722781723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15921757.post-45330306651226759142007-05-11T17:33:00.000-04:002007-05-11T17:33:00.000-04:00unitymustgo you have a point. I hope it doesn't happen here but this will be a big issue in the future.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15921757.post-16683324942274809052007-05-11T07:44:00.000-04:002007-05-11T07:44:00.000-04:00True enough. Her latest piece of brilliance offering up more senior teachers to more needy schools all for a small raise and smaller class sizes? Sounds great doesn’t it!? The mayor should jump all over her offer. In one fell swoop he can take care of his class size reduction obligations. I figure one less kid per a class should do it. Second, after 2 years (not nearly enough time to make significant improvements in test scores), the modest if any gains made will be declared too little too late, and then they will be reorganized. And just like that you have a lot of highly paid ATR’s. Then comes the media blitz about how it’s the union’s entire fault and a demand to cap the ATR system. And VIOLA, goodbye senior teachers, thanks for all your years of service. With leaders like Randi who needs enemies.

UnitymustgoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15921757.post-38015687184151052572007-05-10T22:25:00.000-04:002007-05-10T22:25:00.000-04:00Have you guys sent this to Letterman's people?
