  1. Our principal already shot down our SBO request to have school start or end 30 minutes later next year. What good is an SBO if a principal can refuse it?

    2. 620. Same here. A lot of staff wanted the 30 at the start of the day, but there will be no vote on it. Shot down immediately.

    James, is this the agreement or are principals taking advantage of weak union reps?

  3. The sbo process is, by definition, a collaboration between staff and administration. Otherwise, one side could impose its will on the other and violate the contract w impunity. That is a strength, not a weakness.

  4. This never went to sbo in my school. We were given a google survey to take and told we would have a vote this week. Now we NEVER SAW THE RESULTS but are told we are reverting back to the old Monday/Tuesday schedule. Again, no SBO vote and results not shared. If it walks like a duck....
