This is from Unity's Gene Mann's The Organizer:
UFT Files Grievance on Spring Break Pay on July 1
The COVID-19 limitations on grievances ended on June 30, and our regular contractual grievance process is fully up and running. The mayor kept schools open during spring break that year during the height of the pandemic; in compensation, members were granted four additional CAR days in their banks. The UFT will argue before the arbitrator that its members should receive a full compensation package for all the extra days they were required to work. All school-based grievances will open when UFT members report to schools on Thursday, Sept. 9.
Final Lump Sum Payment
Eligible DOE-employed UFT members will receive the sixth — and final — lump-sum payment connected to the 2014 DOE-UFT contract in a separate paycheck on July 22 or 23.
Someone should inform our union.
ReplyDelete"UK CHIEF SCIENTIFIC ADVISER VALLANCE SAYS 60% OF PEOPLE BEING ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL WITH COVID HAVE HAD TWO DOSES OF VACCINE"
Lol. Written by Porter and Mulgrew. They must be fucking with us. Rigor. What's that?

" and final — lump-sum payment connected to the 2014 DOE-UFT contract in a separate paycheck on July 22 or 23."
ReplyDeleteI just want to be very clear...this is money dating back to November 1st 2009! We waited for nearly 12 years to get this money!
If the money would have been in our TDA's at the fixed rate it would have been worth double at this point, but we did not get any interest. All the while the NYPD, FDNY, SDNY, etc. got their contracts, raises and retro. All those members who left before the payout date and even those that died got nothing! And that is why the UFT does not deserve my dues.
Has anyone been able to see their retro stub on the payroll portal yet?
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't see it this morning and that's what I'm afraid of. You usually can see your paycheck in the portal a week before the $$ hits your bank account. Will it magically appear online the day of? I don't trust the city and until the $$ hits my account I won't believe it...We'll be finally made "whole" - our 12 year interest free retro...Smh...
DeleteExactly what I was thinking 5:30.
DeleteLast call for summer school: families must sign up by Tuesday night, officials say
ReplyDeleteSo, half the summer is over but they can still pass? Rigor!
Rather the rigor mortis of freedom of speech and thought.
ReplyDeleteCritical race theory and other equity ideologies will be instituted as their core ideology for rigor mortis of speech and thought.
435 be like, "i support free speech and thought, now here are things i don't want discussed in classrooms."
DeleteTo 2:46
ReplyDeleteWell..Rigor lol All I can say is they don't call Mayor Debozo Big Bird for nothing!
Someone or Someones always have a hand up his ...
Yes, made whole with no interest after 12 years.. We will never be made whole..
ReplyDeleteNow let's see back pay for APril 2020 I guess we should expect that with no interest by 2033? 12 years a smuck...
no retro stub yet. Let's see if this is not yet another mess
ReplyDelete12 years without interest is not being made whole. FDNY and other unions would not accept these terms.
ReplyDeleteI’m very nervous about this retro pay and is getting it.
ReplyDeleteRetro seems to be given much later to retirees. Anyone know what that date is?
ReplyDeleteSince teachers are subject to pay penalties under the Taylor Law for striking, namely two days pay deducted for each strike day, then NY CITY should pay double for each non-payment day for last spring break. We should get ten days of pay for last spring if the arbitrator were to judge the city according to equivalent standards. However since the arbitrator gets paid from NYC, the whole arbitration process is a intrinsically biased and fake.
ReplyDeleteOn the aside, Chapter 683 D75 teachers were suppose to be paid first check today for ten days worked. Almost anyone spoken to has not been paid as of yet. This has never happened before. (What is going on at DOE payroll?) Chapter leaders aware, say DOE has until 11:59 pm tonight to pay. We are being told to contact UFT if pay is not deposited into accounts by 10:00am tomorrow. Tomorrow was not pay date, today is.
ReplyDeleteThere is something to say about paper checks! At least when you deposit them you know it hard earned cash in hand, not any electronic manipulations or glitches.
Below is info about the final retro check for retirees. It’s from an email sent on 6/15
ReplyDeleteRetired pedagogues and paraprofessionals will receive their payment on Aug. 5. Retired H Bank payroll employees will receive their payment on July 22.
If you receive your pension payment via direct deposit, your payment will be issued to the same account. If you receive a paper check, your payment will be mailed to the same address as your pension check.
Same penalties that are placed on teachers pay under the Taylor Law should be applied to NYC for non-payments of wages. NYC criminally violated labor laws on wages and should be be subjected to an exorbitant penalty of double payment of wages.
ReplyDelete745, that's good info because whatever's going on paychecks are delayed and I imagine they have to straighten out that mess first.
ReplyDeleteI just found out that I’m banned on NYC Educator’s Blog. 😂😂😂 This union and all those who serve in its upper echelon are a complete joke. They are hardly unionists!
ReplyDeleteAt least this blog has principles. That joke over there is a complete Democratic Hack!
Tuesday, July 20th. No retro posted on pay portal.
ReplyDeleteI really hope the UFT is prepared for the doe playing games again.
@5:36 there seems to be a glitch of some sort in payroll because someone posted that Chapter 683 hasn't been paid and their checks were due yesterday. I don't think it's the same issue as before. Back in October we were mired in a COVID related financial mess (although he did have some damn nerve trying to stop the last payment altogether).
ReplyDeletenothing on the portal. The check is in the mail-that's a good line. LOL
ReplyDeleteSo it is not being direct deposited into active teacher's accounts?
I'm sure if the city was actually paying interest on the money they owed us they would make sure to get it to us by the date promised which actually was last Oct. But being that there are no penalities for them they can continue to play games and make excuses.
Critical Race Theory is divisive, stupid and absurd. As such, it is the perfect ideological curriculum for the NY City Department of Education.
ReplyDeleteRetro will not get posted in the regular payroll bank.
ReplyDelete@8:25 - Why would it not appear? The first half of the final retro appeared with our regular check on October 31st last year.We knew actually how much we were getting. We were promised a separate check on July 22. There was no mention of it being a paper check that's not safe or direct deposit. And if you have already been receiving direct deposit why would they start mailing checks? On the last day of school the secretary didn't give out the usual 5 summer paycheck stubs and now I have to look online every week to see that our summer checks are posted in the portal.
DeleteIt's not in the retro statement section either. Or is there info stating it won't post there?
DeleteThey are probably paying us back with our interest. You know how weak we are and how manipulative the screened calls to Moron Mulgrew were when not one person really asked why we never received interest on the 12 years of retro.
ReplyDelete0% interest 0-1% raises with this bonehead president James stays super clean quiet about. Here is from cnn one of James and 80% of liberals go to sources!!! HIghest since 2008, gas 3.05. Not allowing Cubans here who are fleeing and being murdered shhhhh stay quiet, especially since they would vote for trump or republicans. Media is in such cahoots its more blazing obvious than the grade fraud we know too well.
https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/13/economy/june-consumer-price-inflation/index.html
Was about to say the same. Almost 9 AM, still nothing. Didnt you all say a dem mayor and dem president was good for us? Like, we would be respected again?
ReplyDeleteAnyone who thinks a ‘glitch’ is a happy coincidence needs to smarten up.
ReplyDeleteThe doe plays games. Always has. Always will
When are the retirees getting our money? It’s always later than active teachers.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate James and his blog. James allows for comments from those who do not agree with him or those whom disparage the DOE and the UFT. I am sure that reading all the comments is a lot of work. I am grateful for your work, James.
ReplyDeleteThis cancel culture is very worrisome and a bit stressful. There are plenty of people and bloggers who only want to hear from people who agree with them. I too, was banned from another blog. I am not sure why. Nothing I wrote was offensive, derogatory, inflammatory, etc. I think it may have had to do with politics; I am not a fan of AOC.
I’m sure I was offensive in my comments, but I can’t deal with the liberal BS. I’m not a Republican, but at least they don’t talk in circles like you’re an idiot.
DeleteWill it be considered under per session the retro?
ReplyDeleteMy bank confirmed that 683 check was late(20th nor 19th) and is still in pending.btw I was told that anything in pending can be retracted.so grimy of the city to lay our pay and no word from uft.no explanation.and no email from doe stating this.hope this is a one time glitch and not a bad omen.
ReplyDeleteIf and when we get pay for spring break, the UFT will probably let the DOE stagger it over 10 years
ReplyDeleteIf and when we get pay for spring break, the UFT will probably let the DOE stagger it over 10 years
ReplyDeleteThe city gave us four days. We aren’t getting anything else. They will keep pushing it out.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness I posted work before spring break 2020 and didn’t check one email or do one live lesson.
@1:38 = hit the nail on the head!
ReplyDelete1015, will be apologize when your money is there on the 22nd or will you cry about something else?
ReplyDeleteThere should be financial penalties for the DOE as a result of their non-payment of wages.
ReplyDeleteThe arbitrator should make them pay two days pay for each day of spring break..
What the did DOE did is disgusting and criminal, which is par for the course for a criminal enterprise like the DOE.
UFT says Aug. 5 for retirees. Retirees had no paystub for the retro part last fall. This messed up taxes for some people and cost them dollars to get this stinking joke of a retro. Only teachers are stupid enough to wait 12 years for money due. Even better, some retirees who left pre-pandemic are still waiting for terminal leave $ from the DOE and/or full earned pension payments from TRS.
ReplyDelete"Only teachers are stupid enough to wait". Well what exactly do you expect them to do? You're so smart, what would you do?
ReplyDeleteYes, thanks for letting us post. I was also banned from another blog. Of course it stings, but makes me appreciate when I can share.
ReplyDeleteIn the early 2000's, I left the DOE, but was still able to get the retro check because that's how the contract was negotiated. I was so grateful, I even wrote the UFT borough office a thank you letter for helping me figure it all out! Too bad things are not the same.
Maybe with the severe labor shortage, teachers and paras will be in a position of strength at the bargaining table.
Does “being banned” mean you can’t access the blog or does it mean you can’t post comments on the blog?
Delete435 be like teach kids to read, write, speak instead of woke bs so they don’t sound stupid by saying things such as “he be like”
ReplyDeleteStill no retro posted, 720 am.
ReplyDeleteStill not a word on how long spring break outcome will take.
There are a few teachers like me that did post work last spring vacation, we did hold optional live sessions, and have 200 days in the CAR. A little compensation would be nice but I don't expect a thing in the few years I have left before I retire.
ReplyDeleteThe UFT is ridiculous. Is there a worse union that has 200,000 members in the US?
You know how I know we are getting screwed again? A queens UFT rep guaranteed it would happen.
ReplyDeleteKiss of death.
850 am. No posting on retro pay
Union leaderships have become loyal and beholden to the democrat party even though the democrats have long ago abandoned American workers. Until that bond is broken and our vote is earned nothing will change for the better for any union members. Democrat controlled nyc teachers waiting 12 years for money…. Just wait til Adams fucks us harder than Bloomberg ever dreamed.
ReplyDelete610 So then you ARE opposed to free speech and thought, while whining about free speech and thought. But what is "woke bs" and why cant you teach the truth about this country's history without also teaching reading and writing and speaking? Your post doesnt make any sense.
ReplyDeleteThe difference btw comments on this blog and comments I hear in real world are night and day. If you believe everyone hates Mulgrew, is crazed about spring break pay, apoplectic about Medicare, and is pulling dues, you are living in echo world. Non dues payers are like 2%, not much higher than old agency fee.
ReplyDeleteI tried dropping out but it seems they love me too much to let me go! I guess I’ll stay one more year! 😂😂😂
Delete9:20 as of right now the money isn't late so why should anyone email over and over? I've seen the portal updated the day of, and I can remember at least one time it was updated after the pay was issued. People are downright panicky. So funny because one poster said if one believes there's a glitch you should smarten up because DOE is not to be trusted, yet they trusted enough to expect it by the 22nd and not a day later like their life depends on it. Not I.
ReplyDeleteI'm proud to be in that "2%." Looks what's happening. What more will it take? How sad.
ReplyDelete@10:33
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. No one cares.
Teachers need to stop being so afraid to speak up. If you’re good at what you do, they’ll come after you for opening your mouth, there’s nothing to be afraid of. Talk the talk, and when it comes time, walk the walk. Crack the contract open and read your rights. Chapter leaders will not do that for you. Most do it for the free four preps. You want to know your rights and stand up to admin and DOE you can do it yourself. If we don’t mobilize ourselves, don’t expect anyone else to. Money will come and go. What is the next topic to complain about when most of us are complacent hoping that someone else will fight our battles for us.
931. Teachers don’t have free speech in their classroom. It’s why we can’t wear maga hats or I’m with Her t-shirts in school. If I’m a deranged nazi, I don’t get to teach children why it’s important to eradicate Jews from the planet. Teachers don’t have a right to teach children that any race or religion or culture is inherently bad. Not one person is arguing not to teach history. That’s fake news. My post makes perfect sense unless the only news you hear is from mainstream media. It’s why so many commenters think insulting Trump is an insult to Trump voters. Most of us don’t give a shit about Trump. We give a shit about an America First agenda. We’d shove Trump off a cliff into a bee hive if it got us the agenda we want. Our freedom is being stripped through censorship but hatred for the Orange Man has blinded you. Wuhan lab leak? Xenophobic. Censored. Now officially deemed plausible. Election irregularities. Insurrectionist talk. Censured. Now officially confirmed in some audits. January 6 not really an insurrection. Treason. Now not one person charged with insurrection or treason because unarmed people can’t actually take over anything. When the republicans regain power, you’ll see what little freedom we have left because they will use their authoritarian power to harm people and causes you care about. Remember, you helped give that power to our government when the democrats were in control just like Republican voters did with GW Bush and the Patriot Act. Free your mind of Trump and start focusing on just how badly the current group of politicians in power right now are fucking us…. And that includes democrats and republicans.
ReplyDelete11:17 what a load of unhinged blather. YOU are the complaining about the rigor mortis of speech and thought while trying to stop "speech and thought". Or dont you understand your own post? Claiming that critical race theory is akin to teaching that one race is inherently bad is just rabid right wing propaganda lies and that is the crux of your entire argument. The rest of your erratic and nonsensical Trump, Trump, Trump, post, who I did not mention even once, is not even worth addressing other than I hope you're not teaching, and remember to take your prescription medication. See a doctor, post-haste, and dont go out without adult supervision.
ReplyDelete@11:17 you should not be anywhere near children.
ReplyDelete1117 oh yeah you're rational and stable. LMAO. Let a nutjob talk long enough and he will show you exactly who he is.
ReplyDelete11:17 why you so mad bruh? LOL.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 11:17,
ReplyDeleteTeachers at my school did wear "I'm with her" t-shirts. They did make Trump jokes, express their stress, fear and dooms day rhetoric with students when Trump was President and especially regarding the Supreme Court. Several students did share with me their reluctance to speak in social studies classes for fear of being targeted by the teachers and having their grade in the class lowered due to teacher bias. Students also were given assignments/projects in which they had to research and support one of the liberal causes from a provided list of topics. The students would rather just go with the flow and keep their transcript competitive. The schools are a big mess.
I agree that politicians, no matter the side, are just a disaster.
I’m a leftist and this is disgusting. The “liberal” left is bankrupt.
Delete724,
ReplyDeleteYou need to stop caring about this. It’s just a job.
Take your days and milk the system.
Remember, the doe does not reward hard work.
That is why I don’t care about doing a good job.
Why should I?
We are about to get screwed on money we are entitled to get.
Screw trying to even fake doing a good job anymore. 10 years until retirement!
My kids know they won’t get a dime from me if they major in teaching when they attend college.
1117,
ReplyDeleteWe shouldn’t be giving our political opinions in a classroom or a work setting. Has nothing to do w freedom of speech.
It’s not a backyard bbq.
Liberals please keep dumbing down nyc kids... It’s an easy gig not teaching real subjects and just pretending to be culturally responsive. I’ve said it before. The wokest administrators are the easiest to fool. I’m even going to get a crt related gig in the fall. LMAO all the way to the bank suckers. Much easier than teaching them how to read and write. When you scam the scammers, you start loving the job. Wish I knew this when I first started.
ReplyDeleteThe UFT first said we were getting the money at the end of July, then they said it would come on the 22nd (or 23rd). Has anyone seem anything from the DOE? Or has it only come from UFT.
ReplyDeleteTeachers the 22nd other titles the 23rd.
Delete@108, he's not well.
ReplyDelete1117 lies, "Not one person is arguing not to teach history" yet States all over the country have banned certain curriculum and Texas has taken it even further by calling for the ban of teaching topics that revolve around racism, such as the Klan, or other works. So scream at the sky all you want.
ReplyDeleteI haven’t been on here in a while and I see things are still the same. We’re all fighting one another over political bullshit. Fighting for the right of the rich to get richer? No way. It’s going to come to the point where two or three companies control everything. Food water energy. The union busting crap that’s going on is incredible and mostly unreported. I know Amazon is very convenient, but I really think we should all seriously consider stopping using them. And that goes for Walmart and anything that Bill Gates has his hands in. This world is starting to look a lot different really fast. If you got kids like I do, we have to try to protect unions ( and I’m not talking about the sell out union that we paid our dues into that might as well be our employers )or our kids will be struggling in a way that we never did.
ReplyDelete131 is my hero!
ReplyDeleteFor over a decade, I’ve been an ATR. I play the game and say,’any tips I’ll take on interviewing or new methods in all ears’ and I smile and nod and go home with no stress.
Scan the scammers. I love it.
Play the game! Pass the ones who show up and let the time off get here.
It’s much easier to act like you care than really care.
Oh, by the way, a recently retired principal told me she played the game and became an assistant superintendent and answered to nobody her last five years. She is also my hero!
The UFT is not sure why retro isn’t posted online.
ReplyDeleteWhat have other people heard,? Are we getting screwed again?
Retro check tomorrow is a supplemental check, therefore will not show in the portal until late tomorrow or next day. However money will be deposited until banks starting tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeleteLol @ 1:31. Thinks that CRT is a standalone subject and not infused into required curriculum. Just wants to show that he's another Republican who's a fraud and a thief. Makes for a good argument that systemic racism in the educational system still abounds and needs to be exposed. Thanks!
ReplyDelete3:11 another fraud. 1:31 is that you? You're your own hero. LOL.
ReplyDelete@131 what's the difference between CRT and culturally responsive and why are you opposed to culturally responsive lessons?
ReplyDeleteHow about just teaching the US history accurately? The fairy tale lessons we were taught gave a false sense of superiority and inferiority. Teach the TRUE history--good bad ugly. Forget CRT.
ReplyDelete1058, I don't care if you don't care. You are paying dues for me. Thank you for helping me get 1% raises, letting them hold my retro for 12 years with no interest and voting 90% for Mulgrew, and keeping my wonderful medical. You've furthered my career. I'm not sure if I should be mad or you should be mad that we get horrible contracts. You did it, not me.
ReplyDeleteWell it's July 22nd and nothing hit my account yet. Usually does by now. Guess I'll check tomorrow
ReplyDeleteAnd still no retro. 6 am, 7/22. Dues well spent.
ReplyDelete412,
ReplyDeletePlease let us know who gave you that information. Sounds like nonsense to me.
When has anyone gotten money from the doe and it wasn’t posted in pay portal? Answer is never.
We got hosed again.
Mulgrew? Where are you? I called UFT and they are totally playing a game acting like there’s no way we won’t get screwed.
I’m done with dues. For what?
Dr. Seuss had it right in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"
ReplyDeleteAll their windows were dark. Quiet summer filled the air.
All the Whos(UFT members) were all dreaming sweet dreams without care.
Mulgrew slunked away from a fight and left them to be robbed in the night.
"PoohPooh to the UFT!" he was grinchishly humming.
"They're finding out now that no Christmas is coming!"
The money owed from November 2009 was gone.
"They're just waking up! I know just what they'll do!"
"Their mouths will hang open a minute or two,
Then the Whos down in Whoville will all cry BooHoo!"
"That's a noise," grinned the Grinch, "That I simply MUST hear!"
So he paused. And the Grinch put his hand to his ear.
And he did hear a sound rising over the snow.
It started in low. Then it started to grow.
But the sound wasn't sad! Why, this sound sounded merry!
It couldn't be so! But it WAS merry! VERY!
He stared down at the UFT! The Grinch popped his eyes!
Then he shook! What he saw was a shocking surprise!
Every Who down in Whoville, the tall and the small,
Was singing! Without any presents at all!
He HADN'T stopped Christmas from coming! IT CAME!
Brainwashed fools will still sing the praises of the UFT still!
Nice work to all the "we must pay dues" people. Still no sign of retro. No recourse. No accountability. After 12 years. With 0 interest. Stock market up 500% in that time.
ReplyDelete@9:04, 4:20 here. CRT is just the latest feigned outrage scheme for right wingers. I hear about it and say "what now"?? because as you say, just teach history accurately, but as you know some States are trying to ban that too using their CRT moment. Culturally responsive should just be automatic. I doubt they know what entails but feel threatened by it in any case.
ReplyDelete@8:04...
DeleteI absolutely agree!
I often wonder why there is so much fear and pushback about teaching ALL of US history? Are we the only country that changes its history in order to fit a particular narrative? If so,why?
Where's my check?
DeleteHere we go! Where is the retro pay??
ReplyDelete8:20 no check.
ReplyDeleteWell, now it's the 22nd and the money still isn't there, there is nothing listed in payroll portal for 742 or 747 (and all of the retro payments came from those two payrolls - don't forget there was always a second smaller retro payment for per session work).
ReplyDeleteBut now it's the day we were promised and there's nothing. Again.
I LOVE reading about the $682 million fed dollars the city gets for education and they still can't pay us what we're owed. And some of the other posters are correct: this would never happen to cops or FDNY.
Thur. morning and NO MONEY in the bank. I hope we get paid this week.
ReplyDeleteI was just guaranteed by a UFT rep it will be in our accounts this afternoon. Such nonsense
ReplyDeleteFake news. No one wants to stop teaching history…. Including the bad stuff. It’s all American history.
ReplyDelete1:10 a complete lie. Are you so out of touch with what's happening in the country right now.
ReplyDeleteCan access the website and even send in a post, but it won't be printed. In the scheme of things, it's just a sting, nothing more.
ReplyDeleteWithout a union, there is no real protection. While I was doing direct care work this year, we were given good PPD. I don't think that would have happened without organized labor.
Did you read about the Amazon warehouse in Staten Island? Do you think half those employer abuses would have happened if they had organized labor? That's all a union is-organized members.
I still can't believe that Mulgrew stepped on Medicare. I thought that might be the red line. I guess we'll see.
@134...
ReplyDeleteNow now...maybe 1:10 is just busy. Writing US for future generations. You know...like how the party at the capital on jan 6th was well attended. Many of the president's invited guests left with gifts.
@3:01 now *that's* hilarious. Exactly!
ReplyDeleteWe’re at a stand off. Half the country thinks the other half are loons. May the best men and women win. God bless America. The best country on earth.
ReplyDeleteJanuary 6 was not a party. It was another mostly peaceful protest. I know it’s true because that’s what CNN calls such things. Just like I know that the vaccine can’t be trusted because that’s what Joy Reid of msnbc tweeted last fall. Her exact words were “Who on God’s earth would trust a vaccine approved by the US FDA?” Not me, Joy. I believe you.
ReplyDelete11:54 stupid post.
ReplyDeleteWhew boy. I'm glad to read such posts like the one written by 11:54 pm because it proves that nyc educators are the best of the best. Please continue...
ReplyDelete11:38. Of course we’re the best. Just look at those soaring grad rates and zero suspensions. Best teachers and best behaved kids in the whole wide world. Thanks for acknowledging us!
ReplyDelete@7:14 am... Certainly. You must get your compliments whenever and wherever you can. They don't necessarily have to be true. It's sorta like fake news. But yeah, the best and brightness. Wonderful example of professionalism {insert side eye here}
DeleteCute argument. Another week of $270x5. I must be smart.
ReplyDeleteBravo, good for you!! Now will you stop blaming the parents and the students who don't stand a chance with fraudulent, uncaring teachers like you? Thanks in advance.
ReplyDelete@8:53am...why would they do that? What would they then use to shore up their own ego and superiority. I'm surprised you don't know this. Wink wink
DeleteBlame parents? Never. They are singularly responsible for this racket. Grateful for their ignorance. Always. If they ever get a clue and actually fix nyc education, vouchers and charters will put me out of business.
ReplyDeleteSure they are singularly responsible for this racket. Why would you take responsibility for your own behavior? Look over there, they ain't doing what they are supposed to do. I mean nether are you but you're just following orders. Boss say kill, you kill. You're just another tool in their toolbox. They know it and treat you as such.
DeleteVouchers and charters won't solve a thing. There is plenty of proof that more competition from charters and vouchers just encourages more cheating.
ReplyDeleteWe need realistic standards, including attendance, and integrity. We also need a plan for what to do if this leads to higher failure rates that does not involve blaming teachers and schools or sending millions to prison.
Vouchers and charters solve the issue for the individual child. If the public schools are as out of control as some of you claim, no standards, no integrity, lackluster teaching, uncaring teacher, abusive Admin why in God's name would anyone feel comfortable sending their child there? I wouldn't. Look at 10:34. Wear his/her own ignorance, arrogance, and indifference on their sleeve. Not in a million years would I allow my child to be taught by IT.
ReplyDelete11:44 I agree, I agree, but he also does NOT do what he's been ordered to do, which is to teach. LOL. He's said he will fake it til he makes it and that's all he cares about it. I would bet money he was the same one crying on one of the other threads about not doing outreach even though it would be no skin off his back, since he is already getting paid $270/day to sit there with ZERO students. He just cries, cries, cries, and has the union on speed dial when they give him a bad observation for doing nothing. Granted, Admin CAN be very abusive, nitpicky, and all the rest, but this guy is a self-admitted do-nothing whiner.
ReplyDelete@12:50 he sure is. He says the parents are singularly responsible yet he takes zero responsibility for his own sh^t. You know the type: they point out everyone else's sh^t while ignoring their own. Puh-lese
ReplyDeletePoor work ethics.
ReplyDeleteHorrible moral compass
Highly judgmental
Pointing at parents as he collects welfare i e collecting money for no work
