UNITED FOR CHANGE CAMPAIGN LEAFLETS AVAILABLE AT WEBSITE; MEET CANDIDATES LIVE

We have had requests for PDF's of United for Change campaign flyers.

PDFs of two campaign leaflets are available at unitedforchange.vote in both color and black and white.

Please print them and give them out in your school. All we ask is that you email us the name of the school. You can go through ICEUFT@GMAIL.COM.

We will be in the schools ourselves distributing starting next week.

Email us if you would like leaflets.

If you are in one of these areas, come meet us.

  1. Any update on Mulgrew responding to your wife's debate request?

  2. Mulgrew didn't respond. Are you surprised? He couldn't stand up and defend his record in a fair format. We all know that. We will keep trying.

  3. Hey James I will give it to you guys for trying at least. Unity will win in a typical landslide. I'm going with 80% minimum. When Bloomberg sliced up the high schools and middle schools it became impossible to communicate as divide and conquer works. I work in a campus of 7 schools. We all hate each other and there is no communication. If it were one school it would be easier to get the word out on voting, etc. Too many schools, too many chapter leaders, too many everything. It's a joke! But my W2 was above 150 thousand as a little ol' teacher so I can't complain. It unfortunate that readers on here don't know how to enjoy life. The DOE is so amazing.

  4. I like the first leaflet. Kudos.
The 2nd leaflet, however, does have the list of Mulgrew problems that I've been hoping for, but it seems like a report card for UFC because of the big picture and Mulgrew's name being small, almost obscured, on the top right. I wish that one had a dopey Mulgrew picture on the top and a UFC banner on the bottom as a better choice.

Side note-- Can James or anyone confirm that Mulgrew (Unity) can get voted out, but my school can keep its amazing chapter leader and delegates?

    Thanks again for this blog.

  5. Dawkins, Chapter leaders and delegates serve for 3 years. They would not be replaced if Mulgrew loses. Chapter elections for Chapter positions take place again in 2024. The election this year is for president, the other officers and the executive board as well as convention delegates.

  6. UFC if it won would actually be a parliament of sorts with no one caucus or group in control -- we would openly debate our own differences and Unity would be treated much fairer than they have treated opponents. As part of UFC I would lobby for the first thing to end winner take all in the future and create a system which would actually give us less power and Unity a decent share beased on its vote. A system with all voices represented. A fairly run DA -- a whole series of union reforms. And as to Unity attacks that they-- the bureaucrats would run the union better than peoole who run classrooms --a joke.

  7. attended the Greenwood Park event Friday- very low energy. UFC contingent sat huddled by themselves, seemingly depressed, with no outreach to the many teachers enjoying the weather on the outdoor deck. tons of teachers there unaware of UFC whom you wouldn't know were there unless you actively sought them out. totally underwhelming. they already have my vote, but will need more energy than that to make any impact those not yet on board. yikes.
