  1. You think they have enough superintendents?

  2. I wonder if they were sworn to push The racist agendas for Banks and to be anti-union. Haha

    1. I think it is a given.

    2. But they will be called anti-racist, and pro-teachers.

  3. I guess the 4 “acting” ones are the big change. Another dog and pony show.

  4. The new District 7 superintendent sounds like a real winner:

  5. Well at least Orlen is a goner - can’t count how many schools she destroyed - there was. no petition to save her. Fia Davis in the Bronx? Feel sorry for those schools under the direction of that narcissist!

    1. Orlen was horrendous. She made our school come up with all kinds of ridiculous data and go through all of these time wasting initiatives that other districts didn't do.

  6. I have direct experience with district 15 superintendent and he’s a disgrace as an educator. I have no confidence with the DOE when someone like him gets promoted again and again.

  7. Banks really screwed this up. It's so great to read these 45 names totaling over 10 million dollars in salaries. Couple of years new crew comes in and everything changes again. Gotta love the DOE and the mess that it is. Get those 3 consecutive years in at this salary guys. Congrats to all of you and your monster pensions. Oh by the way, you will make a complete zero difference but it doesn't matter. No one cares.

  8. All I know about superintendents is that they allowed MCHS’s principal to solicit life insurance policies during PD. Is this principal thinking about all those discounts he might get by bringing new clients? New superintendents new rules I guess.

    1. I’m happy they investigated him on breaking chancellor’s regulation rules.
They should also investigate how he gives credits for classes not taught. Miscoding classes is something to be looked at.

  9. Padilla from Newburgh was on leave of absence for inappropriate allegations against female employees. He will fit in great in the doe!!!!!!!

All these superintendents are hacks. Plain and simple.

Heck, they are responsible for leaving Dwarka as principal.

  10. How is Fred Walsh a superintendent? Remember him and his AP Smith told families school was over when there were like 2 weeks left? I wonder how much Walsh had to give Banks to stay as a superintendent.

The doe way is mess up as a principal, it’s ok.

  11. D75 re-hired their same superintendent, who was well-liked as far as I've ever heard. The contender was supposedly the superintendent's friend, so I guess nepotism didn't win out in one race.

  12. Pate in D28 does not return messages or inquiries by her district teachers or UFT district reps. Pate has also avoided meetings with teachers who she has sent letters of denial of probation to through her principals. Kong, her deputy superintendent, does not give feedback after observations and is very careless with forwarding emails that are not meant to be forwarded. Kong also does not respond to inquiries, such as email messages.

  13. District 6- Manuel Ramirez should have been removed completely. He’s a disgrace! He has 4 lawsuits against him including from sexual allegations. He talks down to everyone and doesn’t have a clue.

  14. If Adams and Banks double the number of superintendents, they can hire their friends and give them high paying positions.

Then they could increase class size limits to 40 students per class.
That would help provide the funding for more superintendents.

It would also help encourage parents to flee NY city public schools
giving them another reason to leave. The DOE has already given parents
multiple incentives for taking their children out of NY city public schools.

This would also be a great help for charter schools and would make
it possible for Adams to ask for raising the charter school limit.

Adams is working to harm public school education and foster the growth of charter schools. This is exactly what his wealthy sponsors
    are asking from him.

Adams is your classic "UNCLE TOM".

    1. 611pm... so using your logic on why you deem Adams an "uncle tom", those teachers who are "working to harm public school education" by submitting fake grades are uncle Tom's and aunt Karen's. Is i right boss?

  15. Years ago, I told one of the hearing officers at DOE's Office of Appeals and Reviews at 65 Court Street that I had been browsing a book in the Education section of a law library about the role of a school superintendent. There was one sentence in the book which stated, to the effect, "The only known role of a female superintendent is to castrate the men whom she supervises." He turned red and couldn't stop laughing. He said, "Wait! I have to tell this to Mr. Stein!" At the time, James T. Stein was the Director of the Office of Appeals and Reviews. Mr. Stein later got in trouble with the Deputy Commissioner's Office (now called the Special Commissioner's Office) over falsifying a report and concealing records to cover up for a friend.

  16. Barack Obama is another Uncle Tom. But he’s old news. The current list of Uncle Toms also includes Mondaire Jones, Jumanne Williams, Maxine Waters, Ketanji Brown Jackson and Biden water carrier Karine Jean Pierre. The list of Uncle Toms is unfortunately endless.

  17. Smaller class sizes are needed to improve educational outcomes for children of color

    So who is preventing it?

    Mayor Adams.

Mayor Adams is ideologically driven by the agenda of his wealthy patrons as Mayor Adams wants to raise the charter school limit.

Wealthy (white) folks make huge profits from charter schools.
Wealthy white folks once made huge profits from the labor of people of color.

Mayor Adams is doing the bidding of his sponsors and harming the
children of color who need smaller class sizes.

  18. Who cares!
These appointments mean nothing to teachers.
Sure they suck money down the drain and will push more agendas at principals. But the real problem for UFT members is the principals and their AP crews, and many of the teachers, many of them quasi-administrators and rats who suck more money down the drain with their back-room deals and SBO scams and their obsession with fattening their own paychecks and pensions that we should be concerned about. Yeah, come on, the corruption is systemic and focusing on the governor's race and class room size and the new mayor, same as the old boss, and his idiot chancellor can makes us feel like we united, have some semblance of solidarity, but solidarity and unity at the school level, where the recent UFT election exposed, yet again, that despite the efforts of the United for Change folk, the Union is as corrupt as the DOE, Tweed, Albany & Co.

Principals are running roughshod over the contract. Seniority? What seniority!

After the toughest two years in decades of teaching all I can say is give me a raise to match inflation and don't give back anything, no more concession bargaining.

But we know it's coming. Here it comes, the ice pick in the forehead!

    Shit is real.

  21. Ha ha. He’s been Super and Assistant Super since 2008. Lisante was Super and Executive Super since at least 2005. They were definitely connected. Old school mafia DoE types. I’m going to find out the dirt. It’s going to be juicy I’m sure.

Zweig’s appointment to Assistant Superintendent was held up for a year in 2008 because he was having an affair with an AP that served directly under him. I forgot her name, but she got promoted to the ISchool principal and after a year he was cleared. He was married at the time and it destroyed his marriage. He also had a teenage daughter which probably destroyed his sense of self.

He thought I was the one that ratted him out but I had nothing to do with it. Long story short, after the year investigation he came after me in 2009 and Rubber Roomed me. I was sent to the Brooklyn RR for a year without ever seeing charges, then they were shut down and I was sent back under his authority because he was doing double duty as AS and Principal of GED Plus, a D79 program that was a reincarnation of the former Offsite Educational Services or OES.

I was there for a year being spied on by his minions until 2011 when Occupy Wall Street happened in the Fall of 2011 and the rest is history.

When that incident in Long Beach happened they must have realized that I was going to get someone fired eventually. I was all over the news and newspapers with my disgust with what happened to that poor girl. I’ll tell you in person how insidious the system is and how depraved some of these parents are including the parents of Nicole Surriel.

This system is genocidal and that isn’t even hyperbole.

  22. The black elite are for the most part conniving Uncle Toms.

Instead of helping lower class, namely poorly educated blacks, they are out for themselves. They don't give a whole lot of charity to poor blacks.

They kiss up to whitey and are quite deferential to white elites.
Mayor Adams fits this classic stereotype. He is a racist against his
own race, but he poses as anti-racist.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Plenty of that going on in district 24 under Superintendent Chan’s leadership

  24. @6:03 what name do you have for the white elite who do not help their lower class, namely poorly educated whites, and don't give a whole lot of charity to poor whites? Is there a name for them too?

  26. What have you given to poor whites @1:25? Have you volunteered at a soup kitchen, a shelter, distributed turkeys for Thanksgiving, collected clothes? What have you done? Not that you're elite or anything. You're like the rest of the neoCONS who like to criticize everyone and everything while doing nothing.

    4. You sure are out , out of your radical liberal mind. See what I did there. I crack myself up . You are always so close to making sense but that little voice in your head that is so preoccupied with someone skin color always gets in the way. 27. @2:37pm. I believe 1:25 pm IS a poor something. Remember this country had indentured servants. They didn't just evaporate-- they just assimilated. The 1% don't want them--they just use them like a wrench or dishrag. 125 knows it. For $125,000 a year they will be content using their wrench or dish RAG to do the bidding of their leader. Lmao. They are not as smart as they think they are. I just let them rage on--it makes for hilarious comments.

  31. @waitingforsupport - agreed. I would add that "white privilege" was a lot more prevalent before video technology and social media. Now, they're being called out on their shit in real time and it doesn't work as nicely for them as it did before, where they could just lie and play the innocent "who, me?" charade.

    ReplyDelete
  32. 9:49 you brought up white privilege and when someone responds to it you say that they're preoccupied with skin color? Were you being sarcastic? Was someone supposed to read your mind and know that? Just like your misspelling. Is that more sarcasm, or is that supposed to say God? Nobody wants or cares for your fake blessings.

    1. Love the post you really got me. Yeah sarcasm is my middle name, sorry for the misspelling but as you can tell I’m not the smartest person even when I’m by myself. Enjoy our great nations Independence Day and God bless . Please let me know if I misspelled something I wouldn’t want that to happen again.

  33. @11:56 It wasn't about pointing out your misspelling. It was to point out that one can't always tell when someone is being sarcastic. If you still don't understand have someone explain it to you. Snarky as a middle name is a better fit for you.

  35. I had worked in a district where there was a superintendent who was alleged to be anti-Semitic. She wasn't renewed and then found a superintendent's job in a Long Island school district. She allegedly harassed an assistant superintendent in the new school district who had worked there for many years prior to her arrival. He then sued her and the school district. One of the allegations in the lawsuit was that the superintendent had stated to the assistant superintendent, "I do not trust Jews. I have no confidence in Jews."

    ReplyDelete
  36. 5:52 it's no wonder some of you claim you're rated highly effective, when it's clear you're not. Lol. Here's a different question, what is a man? Certainly is not a person who sits around gossiping with their admin, and pretending to be someone they're not, to try and curry favor. Not every male is a man.
