THE LATEST FROM OFFICE OF LABOR RELATIONS ON EVALUATIONS AND TENURE

The two sections printed below were sent from the DOE's Office of Labor Relations to principals. Tenure decisions go as usual. No decision yet, on evaluations. DOE bureaucracy at its best. Don't you think these central offices could be cut before the classroom?

If I was Chancellor, I would not allow principals to cut teaching positions unless there was a decline in enrollment at a school.

Also, there is a virtual UFT Delegate Assembly this afternoon. Can anyone here take notes? Email us please if you can help. Or, we can wait for Arthur Goldstein's report. My wife and several friends have already signed up for tomorrow's UFT virtual town hall. We will try to take notes. Sometimes, in the midst of these Unity Caucus propaganda parties there is real news.

From OLR:

Evaluation
No decisions regarding evaluations, including observations, have been made at this time. Until further notice, the focus should be on providing supportive, non-evaluative feedback.

COVID-19 LABOR RESOURCES
Tenure Policy & Resources
Unless otherwise directed by NYSED, the remote learning paradigm is considered probationary pedagogical service and does not change the tenure process. Conferring tenure is at least a four year evaluative process and the Tenure Notification System is remotely accessible. The tenure recommendation and approval process should be completed as normal.

Questions regarding tenure should be directed to Senior Field Counsel. General tenure information can be found here.

  1. Cuomo hates you so much he is waiting for the last second to waive APPR. He thinks you won't do shit if you know your rating is waived.
