These were written prior to the CDC's latest guidelines. Knowing the DOE and Adams I wonder if these will change.
I think no testing, no contact tracing is going to lead to huge outbreaks in schools. Interesting how schools are not considered high risk yet jails and nursing homes are. School have poor ventilation, Poor cleaning-when if ever was the air filters cleaned?
What about Monkey Pox-has the city addressed it yet? Time off with pay?
Thanks for the update. The DOE and the rest of the city is out of compliance with the latest CDC guidelines.
“It also brings the recommendations for unvaccinated people in line with people who are fully vaccinated – an acknowledgment of the high levels of population immunity in the U.S., due to vaccination, past COVID-19 infections or both. "Based on the latest ... data, it's around 95% of the population," Massetti said, "And so it really makes the most sense to not differentiate," since many people have some protection against severe disease.”
I really wish people who don’t take Covid seriously and/or keep getting Covid would stop telling everyone else what to do. You don’t want to be told what to do, well neither do I. I can live my life the way I want. I have every right to decide what is safe for me and my loved ones. I’m not changing your life at all so why do you want to control me and others who think like me?
Maybe these people have been lucky enough to not know people, wonderful people, who died of Covid. Lucky them. I have two healthy (body and brain), but elderly parents (late 80’s) and I’m not bringing it to them.
Last year, in a single month, 15% of my students got Covid. A total of 37% of my students got Covid last year, not counting repeated cases. Yes, i kept track. And, that’s the kids I know about. I watched them come back to school and behave the same way they did before they got Covid. I will continue to double mask in school when I am near students. You do what you want.
I’ve learned to live with Covid existing by making sure i protect myself and others. Live and let live.
1) you were fine when others were told they can not have a job, unless they are jabbed. What happened now? 2) you are bound to bring stuff home , no matter what you do. Including all the junk bacteria in your mask. How did 80-yr Olds survived this fact in the past?
10:38 she can be fine with whatever. You're blaming her for a mayor's decision? She didn't tell you what to do, the mayor did. You can't see the difference? You don't want to wear a mask? Don't. Who is trying to force you.
Thank you for this, but now I look forward to the updated guidelines based on CDC. I also look forward to seeing what the new gradebook system will be without PupilPath.
As far as COVID goes, I do not live in fear, but I do live in caution and encourage others to do the same. Live your life wisely. I will be wearing my mask again this school year to keep vulnerable family members a little safer.
10:40 nobody cares what you do. Just listen to your aggression. You're "ripping" them off. Are they still on your face after all this time? Just take them off.
The countries wearing masks are doing better. Look at Japan, a very crowded country. There 8sn't much obesity there either but it looks like the masking helps. It can't hurt.
What does obesity have to do with masks? Japan is doing better, because the price is not mandated there. Browse for an image of a mask for asbestos removal. We'll, asbestos molecule is significantly bigger than rona's. Any mask after 15 min is more of a hazard than help, unless you have pollen allergies.
He said he is ok with you masking up. That protects you. What's your problem? You terrorize the 8:40, so you "feel" like it somehow protects you? Sit at home under a blanket, please. I care you are the safest.
I care about the right of people to choose what works for them. You want to mask up? That’s cool! I don’t judge you, so don’t judge me. Your choice is to be afraid. My choice is to live. How’s it going being a victim of fear mongering? Lol.
This must have been painful for James. He has been astonishingly quiet about covid after the day after day torture of the effectiveness of this drug and how it will protect everyone. Like I predicted years ago, James was on the wrong side like 85% of you lunatics in here. Ivermectin still a horse dewormer you morons. All the unvaccinated bullshit. The vaccinated are dying the vaccinated are getting covid over and over!
Fauci is a fraud takes you years to notice. Monkeypox is a joke 5 deaths and worrying about shutdowns lol.
One of your saviors Dr Birx admitted they "overplayed the vaccine"
The fact you keep repeating how you right you were all this time devalues your input. Ivermectin is not just a dewormer. Just for the record. Including the paste. Ah, and this one: aspirin is also a horse medicine. And much more.
The CDC is basically admitting what Anon2323 and others have been saying for over a year: the jab does not stop infection or transmission. So end the useless mandates and bring back fired city workers!
What kind of union supports firing their union brothers and sisters for not taking an experimental and mostly unnecessary medical treatment?
Covid is here forever. Forget all the fauci rhetoric and go live your life. If you want to mask up or wear four masks at a time, do it. Just don’t tell me what to do.
It's all a matter of perspective. I think it's living in fear to believe the lies about Fauci and vaccines. Vaccines have been around since 1798 (1797 if you count cowpox). That's almost 225 years. All of sudden it's liberals and Fauci's fault. And it's definitely not teacher's fault, and it wasn't Camille's fault that there was a NYC mandate.
When was there a vacation mandate that took ppl's jobs away, please? When were the citizens of the United States in a mass psychosis going at the throats of "the others"? This time will go down in history as the shameful time for many who did not stand up to tyranny.
It’s sad people fee fauci has our best interest at heart. That putrid human ruined businesses, caused mental health harm and made family members hate one another.
Why would family members hate each other. If family members hate each other it is not because of Fauci. All he ever wanted was for people to be health and he strongly suggested you get a shot. If family members hate over that there is a serious dynamics problem that needs to be addressed in another venue.
Fauci doesn't work in isolation so it's nothing but right wing hysterics that have targeted his and his vaccine stance. Nobody on the planet is as divisive as Trump and that lets me know that you are not rational in your thinking.
Bottom line—is that they still don’t know -what they don’t know—about Covid. And new lockdowns are occurring over large populated urban areas of China today according to new articles. Is there a new variant or an existing variant? In the meantime—just use your common sense—get vaccinated—and get a recommended booster—and I would certainly take the word of Fauci and the science anytime (they make not be perfect) over the embarrassing clown that says Covid is like the flu and would be gone by April of 2020.
Please, understand that China is under the ccp rule. You might be to young to know that communist parties' rational is often not dictated by conventional logic, but by their interests, such as power, propaganda, false narrative etc. Sort of what the Social Democrats have been doing in the US for the past two years...perhaps under cop's financial blessing and support.
What the fuck is wrong with all of you? Arguing over the internet like the children you are supposed to educate not to do stupid shit like this. Good Christ, grow up. I check in here to get info and learn about things that are going in our profession and all I see is mostly the same...people bitching and moaning about every article posted. Here is some unsolicited advice if you can't deal with what the profession is or where you think its going - Retire, leave, GTFO. All you people bitching at one another are part of the problem, not the solution. Quit being part of the problem and anti-up with something constructive for fucks sake.
6:48 This is a brainstorming space. For information- go to nyc doe website. And, ghm address your anger before you return to a classroom. Your language might just slip out, and kids do not deserve it. By the way, if you did not notice "information " in here, than maybe you really were not looking. This is not a space for your self-affirmation.
Thanks James. Another challenging school year is in front of us. Nothing done on Class size, the budgets cut, and . . . and we need to sign a new contact. Hey, why hasn't this been discussed here. I see Adams got out for photo shoots with CSEA, they penned a 5 year with 2 and 3 % raises. My guess is we are looking for the same. Another real wage cut. When ds it end?
There was no big Pharma in the 1790s. Later on but before big Pharma control of our government Jonas Salk did not focus on profit. He focused on polio. I will never get another new vaccine. These bastards who used to be scientists can no longer be trusted. And btw science is the questioning of things. It’s the only part left of science I trust. Question it all. Especially their profit motives. We, the ones who saw through the bullshit will never unite behind those who fell for it. Not because they fell for it but because they advocated and often cheered for firing union brothers and sisters who were smarter about this bullshit vaccine. That to me is unforgivable. Camille didn’t initiate the mandates but she encouraged it. I will never support her or anyone who sides with tyranny in the name of safety. The vaccines do not prevent transmission. Why don’t the unvaccinated have their jobs back? Fuck all of you who ruined the careers of fellow union members. Fauci is a fraud. Ask the 80s gay AIDS activists how he fucked with them before he fucked with everybody. Agree with 1132. If you don’t know anything about the dangers and abuses of the CCP, you’re just too stupid to listen to. They’re brain damaging your kids with Tik Tok while those same shitty videos are banned in China and Tik Tok is forced to show educational videos to Chinese children while American children are fed brain cell killing drivel. But the worst is probably the mass production of fentanyl being sent from China. Fentanyl deaths number one cause of death in 18-49 year old Americans. China is our enemy. No less than the jihadis that flew planes into our buildings. If China ever conquers us, the rainbow flag waving males and females will be executed. China is not fond of homosexuals. There zero COVID policy is not working either.
I agree with Anonymous, not with Anonymous who is a fool, however Anonymous raises a good point.
???
Is the above 2 people arguing? 5? 10?
Thank you to Disgusted in Queens, Vin, Shelley, and Anon for using an identifying name.

James, Camille, and UFC still stand for these outrageous mandates when now time and science is clearly not on their side. Could have used that to help gain more people for their chances vs Mulgrew. It's amazing how many Trump deranged idiots are here. No anger for Biden? Worst inflation in 40 years, stock markets down, 80 billion to taliban, countries invading, taiwan will be next and it's still Trump? wow I will take 2.05 gass no inflation any day of the week.
Thousands and thousands of vaccine injuries and unexplained deaths and heart issues, no chance it's the vaccine!
@11:27, I'll go slower. I was responding to the poster who blamed Fauci while also commenting that he was as divisive as Trump. That's what Trump has to do with my comment. Whatever Fauci advises about the vaccine, he doesn't work in isolation, unlike Trump who goes against expert advice and makes (or made) claims that just come to his head at that moment. Clearer? If not, maybe someone else can explain it to you.
11:37 The condescending overtone and self-righteousness of your response is deafning. Fauci certainly does not work in isolation, but his collaborators aren't our allies either and Have never been such. Read the RFK Jr. book Who is Real Anthony Fauci. If you still choose to remain blind to the fact that Big Pharma considers all the other ppl as a source or revenue in the name of the bottom line profit, then you are part of the problem, including the problem of societal division. In regards to trump, as you refer to him, working in isolation. As far as I can remember, and the youtube video footage will let you restore it in your memory (as long as you use unedited footage) that he was working in consult with Fauci and Birx. It is these two who completely destroyed/canceled all the desent from the doctors, threatened the rest with loosing licenses, incentivized hospitals to follow ONE fits ALL treatment protocol (in exchange for lawsuit protection), killing ppl with ventilators and remdisevir. I am no longer curious why some just refuse to ook beyond CNN, ABC, fox and do their own research, including medical papers from other nations, where fauci, gates, schwab have not reached, yet.
@2:47 you don't know we don't look at medical papers from other nations? Maybe because the rest of us have a teaching career that takes a lot of time and energy, families, and enjoy our free time. We can certainly inform ourselves and we have but its not all consuming. Just because it doesn't align with your findings doesn't make you right at all. You are just as condescending, and even moreso, when you take this attitude that you are right and anyone not agreeing is only watching CNN, MSNBC and Fox News (fat chance). I hardly need to read anything from co source theorist RFK. Not to mention, its not your business what I believe regarding vaccines. Talk about self-righteous, trying to shove your stance down other people's throats. You asked why I mentioned Trump and I explained that I was responding to his being brought up. Are you going to rant about it now? I figured you would. I really don't care what you think about Falco and the vaccines. Don't vaccinate. I couldn't care less.
And 2:47, its all a lie that they forced hospitals to use one size fit all treatments. The use of ventilators was at the start when they didn't know enough of the disease. You're just a liar, very disingenuous. And you really going to try to convince people that Trump didn't lie about COVID? He admitted it to Bob Woodward. How about you read his book Rage? And a host of other books by white house insiders. C'mon. Thats so lame.
@11:22 during the polio outbreak entire towns were closed down and so were schools, and they didn't have remote learning. It may not have been exactly the same type of closures but nothing is ever the same. As for the "mass psychosis going at the throats of "the others"? Gee I wonder who held rallies, taunted the opposition, and whipped up chaos and confusion. I know you're suggesting the "mass psychosis" was only coming from Liberals but Governor Whitmer and others were facing real threats because of right wing "mass psychosis".
Polio has never had a recovery rate of 99.9%. Doctors' opposing views were welcomed. The vaccine was not developed in two months. Ppl were not mandated to take the vaccine or loose the right to make a living. Ppl wanted to take it, bcs they saw the potential outcomes of either choice, and were free to make an informed decision. Religious choices were respected. And, by the way, you seem to assume that polio vaccination passed without massive negative consequences...read up on its history. The polio vaccination protocol has changed since that time, based on the opposing views and legitimate discussions among scientists. I do not understand what your problem is with the rallies: that is a legitimate way to express opposition. The problem is that those issuing edicts did not allow any discourse, did not consider experience and knowledge of world class professionals who had practice-proven strategies to deal with the situation. As for Governor Whitmer ...why are you not sharing the most recent (and not so fresh) admitted in court facts that the whole thing was set up by a three-letter agency? Boy, I sure do hope you are not a Social Studies teacher, and that you are not my neighbor in 1938 Russia. Ppl with the mindset like the one you exhibiting have no problem selling their countrymen Freedoms for a piece of virtue signaling, and then turning "up" into "down" to the point of self destruction. In this regard we, the Americans, are no different from Germans, or any other kind of human...all the human nature has been described by classics. Too bad they have not been taught in schools. Hence our immunity to see how freedom can be diminished for "others" is compromised.
Do not bother answering, unless you can bring up an example of open discussions about covidian things between the existing opposing sides.
If you don't believe that the vaccines are fake then you are part of societal divide. Thats rich. Youre saying divisive things but if we don't agree with you, we're divisive. Jedi mind tricks.
3:15 , I will answer in any way I choose, not in the manner that you dictate, so get that straight. Second, I only brought up polio because you seemed to be unaware, or forgot, that there have been other times that diseases brought about closures. You've moved the goal post to include recovery rates, vaccine development and all the rest. Those points are irrelevant to the initial discussion and they can be countered, but the question would by, why? Why would I even care, two weeks before school starts to get into a heated argument about polio vaccines, Germans, 1938 Russia. Those who are vaccinated will have a job. Those who are not vaccinated will lose their jobs. That's the bottom line.
You can rage and accuse, and hurl insults, and accuse people of selling out their countrymen. I haven't sold out anyone. You've made your choices regarding the vaccine and it's irrational to suggest I had anything to do with it. It's blaming others for choices that you made. It also doesn't change anything. I am hardly going to allow unhinged anonymous posters to get me off my peaceful return to school. I for one am looking forward to returning. I wish the time off could last for much longer, but the reality is summer's almost over. You can choose to stay angry, start school disgruntled, and whatever else.
10:21 says "will take 2.05 gass no inflation any day of the week." Good for you, but I'll take a President who doesn't call up Secretaries of States and ask them to find fake votes and electors to overturn an election. You can blame liberals all you want, but it is Conservative Cheney who says there is enough evidence to charge him. Chew on that.
10:21 When you don't care about DeSantis coercion and threats of firings and lawsuits in his deranged banning of books then we don't care about vaccine coercion and keeping your job. Thats how it works.
10:21 I should care about debating "open discussion about covidian things", Germans and 1938 Russia. Lol. Some of you say "forget about it its over" and here you are still fretting over it. Im over it, vaccinated and going back in September. You're just looking for a vaccine argument. I responded to someone's comment about Fauci vs Trump and you jumped in like a fire breather filled with anger and hate. Don't care if you were weak and allowed yourself to be coerced. Thats my fault too? Lol. Go see Dr Phil. Go ahead, fire away, youre not worth my time and you are nobody I would want to help fight your battles, because that's what you really want. Everyone to rise up and support your opposition to this even if we disagree. Fight your own battles. You probably don't even pay dues, which makes you a freeloader complaining about lack of support.
The antivaccine crowd wants autonomy to make their own decision (and nobodys holding them down and forcing them) and yet want to force others not to vaccinate, and not even support the vaccine. What is it anyone's business if you are not against the vaccine? If you don't see it their way, you're called divisive, you get blamed for ruining careers. They have really lost it. Not tethered to reality at all. And no, youre no "fellow union member". I would want nothing to do with someone like you. Ever. I know plenty of people who didn't vaccinate and are not so hostile and offensive over other people's choices.
People still smoke despite scientific evidence of greater chance of lung cancer, people deactivate car seat belts despite data that says they are more at risk in an accident, people don’t go to the dentist at least twice despite data that says their oral health is more likely to suffer, people consume fast food, fries and sugary soda on daily basis despite greater risk of obesity and diabetes, people never got flu shot on annual despite the greater chance of getting a bad case of the flu—and of course to this day nearly 33% of the American public—have not received one Covid shot-which is still mind boggling. They don’t trust the government and they also still feel they are in excellent health and that Covid will disappear and no need for a shot. It’s human nature that people choose and feel that they know what’s best for them—of course just listen to the medical expertise of Kyrie Irving and the dozens of other pro athletes that have never gotten vaccinated as they make up their health rules despite the medical evidence and scientific data. Science may not be right a 100% of the time and ongoing data may result in tweaks of guidelines—but Fauci will always have a thousand times more credibility than the orange clown embarrassment in the White House that downplayed the virus back in late February of 2020 and said this type of flu would be over by Easter.
10:21 p.s. who said I was trying to win an argument. I expressed my opinion on Fauci vs Trump to someone else, and you've turned it into a personal attack. But if it's about winning I absolutely did show that there have been other instances when lockdowns occurred. That's when you resorted to throwing everything against the wall, including the kitchen sink, hoping something will stick, or more likely trying to confuse and confound. Nobody's going to argue all those, ridiculous irrelevant points just on your say on. It was barely coherent. It was really cute how you tried to shut me up by saying "don't answer until you can discuss..." That was irrelevant. And so are you.
The point is mandates and scientists and doctors being censored when they disagreed. I’m a conservative who agrees with ultra lib Jimmy Dore. It’s about Big Brother. Don’t want a right wing or leftist Big Brother in charge. Also, as someone who votes Republican I’d cut off a toe before I’d care what Liz war mongerer corrupt Cheney has to say about anything. She would never get my support or vote. Hate Trump but it’s foolish to let that hatred blind you to the mass Big Brother manipulation and propaganda that’s been going on. Anti mandate is not anti vax. There’s a huge difference. DC is about exclude 40% of its black students from in person learning over mandates for a vaccine that doesn’t prevent transmission. These people are evil. And they get away with it because so many still believe their bullshit.
446. I’m blaming Camille for her policy position. She was fine with firing union members who refuse the vaccine. She was a candidate for UFT presidency. Her positions on policy mattered. They mattered because they let us know what she will and will not fight for. She is pro mandate. No bueno. If she changes her position on fired UFT members, she can let us know. Until then…. No support from me for her or her caucus. Every city worker who lost their job should be reinstated. No use for any leader who doesn’t say that…including that tool Mulgrew.
4:28. If you don’t believe the vaccines don’t work like the government and fake news told you they did even though the same government and fake news is now telling you they don’t work like they said they did, I can only say the vaccines are not fake as you suggest we believe. In fact they are very real. They just don’t work the way they said they did and scientists and doctors and even Anon2323 were censored for saying exactly what’s being admitted to now. Anon2323 and others were right to question. James and others were wrong to censor.
12:08, true. And I've never heard Irving insult his teammates for not sticking together on the vaccine issue, even before he was allowed to play. He didn't call them divisive and said he supports those who are and aren't vaccinated. For that matter he didn't even trash the Nets or NBA for the mandate. Because thats what decent folks do. They make decisions and understand, and man up on the consequences. That's what grownups do. They don't try and bring everyone else down with them.
The only reflection some people did over the summer is figuring out more ways to stay mad at the world. Not one positive thing on how to better relate to students any and all suggestions, even to live and let live, quickly shot down. But the rest of us should support their madness. I think not.
6:18 I know why you blame Camille and I think it's irrational. Woulda, coulda, shoulda, her position had no bearing whatsoever, not even a little bit on the mandate. It may have mattered on whether and others votes but it in no way effected the course of people getting fired. You think her saying that was going to matter to the Mayor? It wouldn't, it didn't, it won't. Get over it OR fight on as isbyoue right. Stop being so bitter about other people fighting your battles. Or stay bitter. Its your choice and other people have their own choice on what to believe, what to endorse.
No students should be subjected to vaccines in order to play sports, absolutely sickening!
James is like a clam right now, no comment. Where is his statistics and charts? Where is his CNN bullshit backing? The narrative has crumbled and Camille and James like many of you pathetic people on here allowing amazing teachers, nurses. doctors, cops and firefighters to succumb to what you believed was a worthy vaccine is a shame and I hope karma hits you all 100 times over!
I appreciate the rationale minded critical thinkers who see Fauci and this virus for what it is. Why is austism so high, can it be the insane mercury levels in the vaccines given to children?
Anon2323. What do you mean "pathetic people allowed". Why didn't you stop them? You think yelling and screaming on the blog is your contribution? And where are all these amazing teachers who didn't vaccinate? What a complete victim you and others sound like. You're blaming teachers for not coming to your rescue as if they could do anything about it? Why would I even care if I even laid eyes on some of your faces ever again in life? If we believed that strongly in it we would've shut it down. Why didn't you? But I don't blame you and the other crazies for dumping all over this blog. That's on James for allowing such lies and propaganda, including election fraud lies to permeate this board for the sake of comments.
CDC announces sweeping reorganization, aimed at changing the agency's culture and restoring public trust By Brenda Goodman Updated 1:41 PM ET, Wed August 17, 2022
Restoring public trust?
They should hire NYC DOH Comissioner Aswad Vassan. We all trust him right? Since we are in a state of emergency, we are lining up for our monkey pox vaccines with our masked toddlers.
6:27 stop crying. If you don't like the censorship you should find another blog. You think this is your space to vent and cry about vaccines? He's trying to manage a blog here about union issues and you're still crying about a vaccine.
6:18 "If she changes her position on fired UFT members, she can let us know". I think it's safe to say Camille doesn't give a rat's patootie what you think. She doesn't lose the election because of your vote, that's for sure. More people supported her stance, than didn't but unfortunately they didn't come out to vote. Why should she cater to you when the majority supports it, or at a minimum, is not still whining about it
5:40 "anti mandate is not anti vax". Do you have children in college, because my children have always had to provide their vaccination records before attending school, so that's nothing new. But why do you people always bring up black students? Are white students not being excluded? Always, always, with black students, or students of color in your mouths trying to use them as some sort of shield or pawn. They can advocate very well for themselves. They don't need a bunch of hypocritical conservatives using them as a front for their own motives. Worry about yourself and stop worrying about the choices other people make for themselves. We don't have to be on the front lines of this for you. If we want to vaccinate, what is it your business? Can anyone answer why they are so concerned about what other people do with their own bodies? And I don't want to hear about the mandates, we are not responsible for a Mayor's directive.
The topic was covid days so most of the way out of right field comments were on target. That said. What makes you think you ate going to settle these arguments here?
COVID days, not vaccine mandates. Is there no difference between the two? The conversation is so bogged down in ridiculousness, what the heck are the COVID days?
James it's disgusting. For them to blame Camille, you, and the educators on this board for not somehow stopping the mandate. They can't even keep their dignity in their decision, that's what's pathetic. But their despicable insults is to supposed to inspire us to have their backs. Well, that's a laugh.
Well then that's just sad. I guess this isn't really the place to come to strengthen union bonds, and brainstorm ideas, if you think it's "much closer" than usual. That's just ridiculous. Lol.
The comments were closer to the topic than many of the topics sent to me on other postings. Strengthening union bonds and brainstorming ideas: I can hope; those are some excellent aspirational goals.
It is not disgusting to point out that a candidate for UFT prez was pro mandates and that one finds that stance abhorrent and unacceptable. What’s problematic is treating Camille like a little girl who had no power. She wanted to head our union. She wanted the power to negotiate and fight on our behalf. Her positions on policy matter. Knowing what she would and would not fight for matter. These type of comments are not personal attacks. Comments about someone running for office not caring about what some voters think are childish and do nothing to promote Camille as a future union head.
Good morning all. Let's take another look at Anon's post above:
"No students should be subjected to vaccines in order to play sports, absolutely sickening"
Okay, there is a strong opinion to which one is entitled.
"James is like a clam right now, no comment. Where is his statistics and charts? Where is his CNN bullshit backing? The narrative has crumbled and Camille and James like many of you pathetic people on here allowing amazing teachers, nurses. doctors, cops and firefighters to succumb to what you believed was a worthy vaccine is a shame and I hope karma hits you all 100 times over!"
Another strong opinion although imo rude and yet also expresses hope that those who had an opposing opinion should come to some kind of harm?
"I appreciate the rationale minded critical thinkers who see Fauci and this virus for what it is. Why is austism so high, can it be the insane mercury levels in the vaccines given to children?"
I just had to point out Anon just hinted at a link between vaccines and autism. This has been so thoroughly debunked it's an ironic embarrassment to rational minded critical thinkers.
6:47 - Noone is treating Camille like a little girl. Yes, her policy positions matter, and not everyone is going to agree with them. Her policy position on the vaccine was that she agreed with them and she was very clear about that. And?? It's not like she said one thing and changed her mind after the election. It's over, she didn't win, and maybe you should get over it. Too bad if you don't agree. If they can get out the vote she could still win the next time, if she's so inclined to run against despite your rabid opposition to her opinion on that matter. You're the one acting like a little girl trying to force your position on the matter down everyone's throat.
As for the comments, you say "point out"?? The comments below are very disgusting unless you have very low standards for what constitutes disgusting comments. Not only are they disgusting, they sound like comments made by a person gone mad:
"When were the citizens of the United States in a mass psychosis going at the throats of "the others"? This time will go down in history as the shameful time for many who did not stand up to tyranny."
"85% of you lunatics in here"
"Not because they fell for it but because they advocated and often cheered for firing union brothers and sisters who were smarter about this bullshit vaccine. That to me is unforgivable.:
"Fuck all of you who ruined the careers of fellow union members".
"Camille and James like many of you pathetic people on here allowing amazing teachers"
I’m not saying Anon2323 is right about autism but debunked by whom? The same people who wouldn’t allow dissenting scientific opinions on the COVID vaccine and told us the vaccine prevents transmission? The problem for me is I no longer trust a damn thing any of these so called experts have to say. So is there a link between vaccines and autism? I didn’t think so prior to COVID censorship. I had faith in the cdc, nih that disappeared via censorship. Now I don’t know because there is no one I trust to tell me whether it’s truly been debunked or whether the Pharma lobby just did a really good job covering it up? I dunno. I remember so called experts saying cigarettes didn’t cause cancer. More recently I remember doctors prescribing Chantix which turns out may cause cancer. Since I’m not the scientist in the lab, “I dunno” can be my only response with everything related to the fda, nih, cdc. I think it’s naive for any of us to be confident in our vaccine opinions. I also think it’s naive to treat government agencies as honest actors. I mean we all acknowledge that lobbyists have a lot of sway in DC, right? Why are some of you so trusting and so sure you’re not being conned? I dunno. I know that much.
9:26 when Anon talks about "*rationale* (rational) minded critical thinkers, he really means people who thinks as he does.
He can talk about karma all he wants. I know he's hoping and praying for harm but there is good karma and bad karma and there is no reason on earth why someone should expect that they would get hit with bad karma on his say so, and certainly not for choosing to get a vaccine. It's a very ridiculous thing to say and also spiteful and mean-spirited, and that will be on his karma. It also shows how irrational he is because what does that say about Trump who fast tracked this thing. Trump being his lord and savior and all.
11:01. Suggestion. Instead of what you want I’ll comment what I want. How’s that? Nothing I wrote was disrespectful to Camille. I strongly disagree with her. Curious… How exactly does writing an opinion on a blog full of opinions force something down anyone’s throat? Reading things you disagree with is not force.
4:45 wait a sec. First you say "I'll comment what I want". Great. My posting about disgusting comments and shoving opinions down someone's throats is my commenting what I want. Or are you the only one who can comment what you want? So as you say, write what you want and I'll do the same!
4:45 grow up. Not sure which one of those disgusting comments on the list are yours but its not simply an "opinion" when you attack others of supporting tyranny and of being divisive because they don't support your opinion on the vaccine. Thats trying to shove your opinion down someone's throat. "You believe this or I'll insult and attack you". You want other posters to keep their mouths shut about your constant attacks. Lol. Dont be surprised when you get attacked right back even if it's to say the comments are disgusting.
301 you are still suffering from vaccine fear syndrome. But not's get cute about "long TDS" as if he just went off into the sunset. The man has the GOP in his grip and they're doing his dirty work trying to set up laws so that they can control who gets in office, despite what the voters want. And now once again, he's the victim while inspiring nutjobs like yourself to attack the FBI. How the hell is that not something to be concerned about, unless of course it is you who suffer from TDS.
Dawkins is not very smart. JAMES has no graphs or science or mainstream nonsense that states vaccines have been working. All the dems getting covid ay the same ridiculous narrative, I have mild symptoms blah blah, so vaccine did not protect you like your savior the dementia muppet baby who is a laughing stock stated.
oops FBI were entrapped by Trump, hehe. Imagine raiding obama on nothing. Clinton's do not get raided why re they sooo scared of trump? All his candidates are winning. bye bye dems after midterms covid mandates gone forever suckers!
557. I’m the one who pointed out that I objected to Camille’s stance on mandates and that saying so was not an inappropriate personal attack. Me thinks you’re the one who needs to grow up here. Nothing childish in my commentary except a dig at Mulgrew @ 618, 647, 445.
7:15 nobody said that objecting to Camille's stance on mandates was an attack. But you responded to an post that showed an entire list of personal attacks, not only against Camille butt against posters. And since you're anonymous there was no telling if you were the author (and the response to you said as much). So maybe you should know what you're talking about before you butt in just to hear yourself talk.
7:12 where exactly are the covid mandates you're talking about? You mean the vaccine? You think they're just going to bring everyone back to work? Stop dreaming and waiting on the midterms to save you.
7:12 where does Dawkins states that James had graphs. I think I'll reply on John Hopkins (Jan. 2022), rather than Fox Entertainment on whether the vaccines work. Is that mainstream enough for you?
"The two mRNA vaccines, Pfizer and Moderna, authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), are very safe and very good at preventing serious or fatal cases of COVID-19. The risk of serious side effects associated with these vaccines is very small".
10:49 “preventing serious or fatal cases” but not transmission. My business if I want to risk dying of COVID. Your business if you want to risk vaccine side effects. I’m not 7:12 but if we’re going to discuss mandates, transmission is a relevant issue. How do you or anyone justify not hiring back unvaccinated UFT members knowing what the so called experts you put faith in say today? How do you justify keeping unvaccinated parents out of nyc schools? It’s as if pro mandaters refuse to acknowledge that the very people who told you the vaccines prevent transmission have not just also told you they were wrong and the vaccines do not prevent transmission. So how can anti mandaters take your arguments seriously? It’s like you’re all insisting the moon is made of cheese at this point. Those of us who suspected the “experts” were wrong or lying or both were right all along. Those of us who questioned authority and profit motives and government control of our bodies and what we could say were spot on.
11:15 do you read before you post? My post addressed the comment that there is no mainstream info that the vaccine works. You're right, risk dying. See if I care.
You're just rambling about justifying this or that because my post said none of that. I dont justify not letting parents back in. Not exactly my decision is it? Neither is reversing the mandate. Not my business on that either. Go do what you've gotta do, take it to court or whatever. And I dont know what you're babbling about being told the vaccine prevents transmission. That ship has sailed a long time ago and nobody still thinks that. That was the expectation but it became clear that wasn't working. You sound powerless and your anger is misplaced because the teachers here are not responsible for the loss of those jobs. You made your decision, we made ours.
The Supreme Court was not interested @11:15, so what exactly do you think the teachers on this blog can do about it? Do you want us to join them on the unemployment line? What is this ridiculousness about moon made out of cheese? I don't see one person on this thread trying to convince anyone to vaccinate or claiming that vaccines prevent transmissions. It You're not on point at all, and I wonder if even you know what you're angry about or who you should really be mad at.
"The U.S. Supreme Court turned away four public-school teachers who said New York City violated their constitutional rights by firing them or putting them on unpaid leave for refusing to get Covid-19 vaccinations.
The justices made no comment in rejecting the teachers’ appeal, which challenged the city’s vaccine mandate for its 148,000 employees. The same group of teachers failed last year to block the policy before it took effect."
7:12 "All his candidates are winning. bye bye dems after midterms". They're winning against each other Republicans because they have sold their souls to the devil and are claiming that they believe in the election fraud lies. Either they're lying or they're just nuts. Pick one. And this prediction is not coming from liberals, but the sudden persona non grata: "Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Thursday downplayed expectations of Republicans capturing control of the Senate in the fall elections, describing “candidate quality” as an important factor.
“I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different — they're statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome,”
Good for him! For all of his motives he protected Trump for years, and that's the thanks he gets. That's the thanks anyone has ever gotten if they don't follow Trump to the gates of hell.
11:15 this here is just some bullshit" "Those of us who questioned authority and profit motives and government control of our bodies and what we could say were spot on". Most people wanted the vaccine and wasn't listening to all of the right wing hysteria about it. So the whole thing about 'government control" doesn't apply if one received the shot before the mandate, does it? Nobody forced us to take anything, and they had no control over our bodies either. If anything we wanted more access to it. We knew it was rushed out, mainly because many people were dying. As far as "profit motives", well it's not like we paid for it did we? But what difference does it even make. If we took the vaccine and it turns out that it's some Frankenstein shot, well then too bad for us. I for one don't need to lose sleep over it and obsess about it. Nobody's asking you to take any arguments seriously. In fact nobody's asking you anything. It is you who keeps harping about it and blaming everyone else for God knows what.
Commenters on a union blog don’t care that fellow union members were fired over a vaccine that doesn’t work. That tells me all I need to know about you. Yes sir. No sir. Whatever you say sir. I side with management over my union colleagues.
5:28. “It’s not like we paid for it”. Uh yeah we did. You think Pfizer made billions without someone paying for it? Tax dollars.
I’ll keep talking about the vaccine that doesn’t prevent transmission because my union colleagues still don’t have their jobs back because of the vaccine that doesn’t prevent transmission. It will be yesterday’s news when they are rehired. Too bad if it’s a thorn in your side.
9:02 you go right ahead and keep crying about it. Most people were trying to get vaccinated before the mandate so your "yes sir, no sir" childish taunts don't fly. It's just lame excuses because you can't win that battle with those in power. It's actually funny that you blame people who have nothing to do with it. Too bad, so sad.
Why would it be a thorn on our side if they get rehired? The thorn on my side was having to take over the classes for a "fellow union worker" who didn't leave grades, didn't keep student work. They didn't even set up the Google classroom and probably still got paid for the work we did. They didn't give a damn about us, we don't give a damn about them.
From a business standpoint, it doesn't prevent transmission but it does lessen illness and length of time. And for that I don't want workers who are going to cause any more disruption than they already have.
You all taunt liberals with comments about "wokeness", disparage parents of children of color, but now you want people to side with people like you? ROFLMAO. Keep crying, it's amusing.
@902 you can keep talking about it til the cows come home, but why are you trying to make your problem our problem? You say your union colleagues still don't have their jobs back. Does that mean that you're working or are you retired? Which is it? Did you go along with the "yes sir, no sir"
Folks, you’re anonymous. What’s the point of insulting each other? I could understand better if there were a malicious instigator and people would feel the need to defend their blog ID or actual name. This is such a waste.
1:28. The pro mandate crowd is angry that their treachery against fellow union members won’t get buried. The insults are an attempt to bury the important issue. UFT members cheered for the firing of UFT members who did not take the vaccine that doesn’t prevent transmission. None of these traitors have changed their tune. Not one thinks their fired fellow union members should get their job back. They think mocking and name calling will cover up their treachery. It won’t. They know what they did and so do the rest of us. That’s why our union will get us nothing. It’s filled with members no one wants in the foxhole next to them. They’re like good Germans. In their minds they’re not responsible for any of it. What could lil old them do? Why won’t I just shut up about it? Because union traitors deserve to have their nose rubbed in it for eternity. That’s why. Other than that, I’d agree with you. The issue is too important to let die. Why not have it part of contract negotiations? Bullshit there’s nothing we can do. It’s called trying.
10:06 too bad, so sad "waah, waah, waah". I feel sorry for you boo boo that you're so victimized by this whole thing. Go ahead, show one "cheering post" before you began insulting them. We'll wait. You're no "fellow union member" of mine, that's fer sure. LOL. You sound like the same treacherous person who delights in race baiting, and insulting parents of children of color, which would include some of the posters here. Why would anyone support any cause that is of interest to you? I definitely wouldn't want you in the foxhole next to me, much less the workplace. But admit it, you're vaccinated because you said "no sir, yes sir" like a good little German.
What exactly have *you* done to make it part of "contract negotiations". Just come to this blog and complain and call names? Oh yeah, that's real effective to get Mulgrew and the Mayor to include this in the contact. You're just a lazy piece of shit who, just as in the workplace, where you don't do anything and think you can get others to do your work for you. Nobody's angry that you see it as treachery. It's funny actually to see you all wound up like a wind-up toy, ranting and raging, and just consumed by it and you haven't lifted one finger to change it. You're not even smart enough to give suggestions on how exactly to get it included as part of negotiations. I know how, when I want something considered I actually get to work to try and make it happen. Handle your own business just as the rest of us handle ours you poor thing, you.
So 1:28 you see, some people are just trolls and exist to be hostile and insulting. If there's not an issue they'll just make up shit. I would bet money that 1:28 is the same poster who said they would not help students unless their parents went out to march. Because in their pea sized brain, going out to march for one cause is the same exact thing as organizing a march on a grand enough scale to make a difference. They're just stupid, and they get called out on their stupid shit and it just bugs them because they enjoy vomiting their stupidity all over the board unchallenged. Why not get her "fellow conservative union members" to take up his cause. No, it's got to be the vaccinated teachers on this blog or he'll insult them for "eternity". ROFLMAO. Except nobody really give a hoot if he's not over it and that it's eating him up inside, even though I know his rage is all a fraud, just like everything else, because he's vaccinated. There's no way he has any principles. How about he show us the emails he has sent to Mulgrew or Adams asking that it be part of contract negotiations? Where are photos of his participation in rallies. ROFLMAO.
@10:06 if somebody wanted to try they would've done it already. If you don't like it, too bad. Go sit in your corner and cry about it. You sound like a complete sociopath, why would anyone want to join forces with the likes of you on anything.
10:06 were you the one who posted that you were profoundly devastating, or some other nonsense because people didn't want to listen to your objections, and that they thought you were insane?
oh no 10:06. Where was your riled up question about the mandate and bringing people back? All these selfish people with their issues that are not as important as yours. Ya know, contract, pay raise, reapplying for accommodations, long term subs not being hired, school security. How dare they, you poor thing.
You cheered on the firing of fellow union members because they didn’t want a vaccine that doesn’t prevent transmission and has serious side effects. You don’t want them to get their jobs back even though you were completely wrong about the vaccines. That’s who you are. I’ll remind you as often as necessary.
7:06 "waah, waah, waah". Answer the question. Why didn't you ask Mulgrew during the last town hall why it couldn't be included as part of contract negotiations. Ya know, since you were asking why noone was trying to make that happen. Hmmmm??
I'll remind you just as often that you're a loudmouth who does not like to actually do the work to effect change. Not in the classroom, not regarding the fired workers. Nothing, nada, zilch.
7:06 weren't you the one calling people good Germans for taking the shot? Because you said on another thread that you took the shot. You can't make this shit up.
I'm very curious 7:06. Are you the same one who posted that you get over on your Admin and pretend to be on their side so that you can get highly effective ratings?
It probably is the same person claims to get over on Admin that's why there's no response. They're probably laughing and smiling in the face of the people who actually fired the teachers while coming on here trying to take a higher moral ground. Lol.
You poor thing. Still trying to walk back your heinous words.
"Good Germans is an ironic term — usually placed between single quotes such as 'Good Germans' — referring to German citizens during and after World War II who claimed not to have supported the Nazi regime, but remained silent and did not resist in a meaningful way."
Where is the part about them cheering? About them actively opposing? Nice try though. Where are the quotes between the words you used? Hmmmm?? I posted this on the other thread where you tried to walk it back but James hasn't posted it yet. Did you ask that all of your posts be removed, because he doesn't remember doing it without being asked.
12:21, "actively supporting", not "actively opposing". Try as you might to try and walk back your disgusting words, NYC teachers are not comparable to the Germans who supported Nazi activity, and a vaccine against a deadly vaccine is not comparable to ovens targeted at a specific group, you fucking dolt. Keep talking because you sound more ridiculous and stupid with every post you make.

I have had covid at least twice and am fully vaccinated with a booster. It’s mutated so many times it is now the flu. Time to move on.
ReplyDeleteWe need to stop living in fear. Covid is here forever.
Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteThese were written prior to the CDC's latest guidelines.
Monkey pox, 808?
DeleteWho are you going to be in close skin contact with at school?
How do you protect yourself from HIV at school?
Thanks for the update. The DOE and the rest of the city is out of compliance with the latest CDC guidelines.
ReplyDelete“It also brings the recommendations for unvaccinated people in line with people who are fully vaccinated – an acknowledgment of the high levels of population immunity in the U.S., due to vaccination, past COVID-19 infections or both. "Based on the latest ... data, it's around 95% of the population," Massetti said, "And so it really makes the most sense to not differentiate," since many people have some protection against severe disease.”

Disgusted in Queens,
ReplyDeleteStop believing the hype. Live your life and ignore fauci!
All this stuff at this point is fear mongering so news stations can sell advertising.
People like fauci are shareholders for vaccines, so they will create fear.
Don’t buy it and live your life!
Rather hard for working Moms to live their lives when they bear the brunt of care for kids with Covid
DeleteI really wish people who don’t take Covid seriously and/or keep getting Covid would stop telling everyone else what to do. You don’t want to be told what to do, well neither do I. I can live my life the way I want. I have every right to decide what is safe for me and my loved ones. I’m not changing your life at all so why do you want to control me and others who think like me?
ReplyDeleteMaybe these people have been lucky enough to not know people, wonderful people, who died of Covid.
Delete2) you are bound to bring stuff home , no matter what you do.
DeleteThank you for this, but now I look forward to the updated guidelines based on CDC.
ReplyDeleteI also look forward to seeing what the new gradebook system will be without PupilPath.
As far as COVID goes, I do not live in fear, but I do live in caution and encourage others to do the same. Live your life wisely.
I will be wearing my mask again this school year to keep vulnerable family members a little safer.
I'm scared of it but I won't live my life in a mask.
ReplyDeleteDo not be scared.
DeleteIt is 99.9% survivable.
Masks are foul. I am also ripping them off. My natural immune system is in charge.
10:40 nobody cares what you do. Just listen to your aggression. You're "ripping" them off. Are they still on your face after all this time? Just take them off.
DeleteThe countries wearing masks are doing better. Look at Japan, a very crowded country. There 8sn't much obesity there either but it looks like the masking helps. It can't hurt.
ReplyDeleteWhat does obesity have to do with masks?
DeleteJapan is doing better, because the price is not mandated there.
Browse for an image of a mask for asbestos removal. We'll, asbestos molecule is significantly bigger than rona's.
Any mask after 15 min is more of a hazard than help, unless you have pollen allergies.
What part of new CDC guidance would this memo contradict?
ReplyDeleteAll of them. Go read it.
DeleteThe DOE is a farce.
ReplyDelete611,
ReplyDeleteNumbers lie and liars use numbers.
Mask up if you prefer.
I choose not to.
You don't give a shit about anyone else.
ReplyDeleteHe said he is ok with you masking up. That protects you. What's your problem? You terrorize the 8:40, so you "feel" like it somehow protects you? Sit at home under a blanket, please. I care you are the safest.
DeleteFacts are stubborn things. N 95 and Kn95 masks work. They are not perfect but they cut down on transmission of airborne viruses.
ReplyDeleteOnly if fit PROFESSIONALLY, and for a limited time (within an hour). Read the directions on the box.
DeleteHey,
ReplyDeleteIf you want to mask up, you do you. But, please, do not create divisiveness in our country like trump did and like fauci has done.
I got the vax and one booster, but if you don’t want it, that’s cool, too.
Enough hate in This country. We shouldn’t be divisive over masks and vax.
I care about people’s right to choose on any medical or health issue.
843,
ReplyDeleteI care about the right of people to choose what works for them. You want to mask up? That’s cool! I don’t judge you, so don’t judge me. Your choice is to be afraid. My choice is to live. How’s it going being a victim of fear mongering? Lol.
Do people really still double mask? Wow!
ReplyDeleteDo they also still wear gloves to grocery stores? I hope not.
This is fauci’s wet dream!
ReplyDeleteFauci is a fraud takes you years to notice. Monkeypox is a joke 5 deaths and worrying about shutdowns lol.
One of your saviors Dr Birx admitted they "overplayed the vaccine"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AYqTgtIgLA
The fact you keep repeating how you right you were all this time devalues your input.
DeleteIvermectin is not just a dewormer.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of union supports firing their union brothers and sisters for not taking an experimental and mostly unnecessary medical treatment?
Memo on the new contract. Forget it.
ReplyDeleteEmpire Fed Mfg surve -31.3,

Recession back on
Covid is here forever. Forget all the fauci rhetoric and go live your life. If you want to mask up or wear four masks at a time, do it. Just don’t tell me what to do.
ReplyDeleteUnder a monnth till a NOT on time contract. Again. Keep voting guys, doing a great job. Isn't that what James told us?
ReplyDeleteIt's all a matter of perspective.
ReplyDeleteWhen was there a vacation mandate that took ppl's jobs away, please? When were the citizens of the United States in a mass psychosis going at the throats of "the others"? This time will go down in history as the shameful time for many who did not stand up to tyranny.
DeleteIt’s sad people fee fauci has our best interest at heart. That putrid human ruined businesses, caused mental health harm and made family members hate one another.
ReplyDeleteHe’s just as divisive as trump.
If you still read books, The Real Anthony Fauci by RFK Jr. Is the one you need to read to fully understand the extent of his crimes.
Delete2:38:
ReplyDeleteHe wanted people to get a shot.
Why would family members hate each other. If family members hate each other it is not because of Fauci. All he ever wanted was for people to be health and he strongly suggested you get a shot. If family members hate over that there is a serious dynamics problem that needs to be addressed in another venue.
You are so naive.
DeleteFauci doesn't work in isolation so it's nothing but right wing hysterics that have targeted his and his vaccine stance. Nobody on the planet is as divisive as Trump and that lets me know that you are not rational in your thinking.
ReplyDeleteWhat does Trump to have to do with your first sentence? Help me see that you are being rational in the argument you are trying to make here,3:31.
DeleteBottom line—is that they still don’t know -what they don’t know—about Covid. And new lockdowns are occurring over large populated urban areas of China today according to new articles. Is there a new variant or an existing variant?
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime—just use your common sense—get vaccinated—and get a recommended booster—and I would certainly take the word of Fauci and the science anytime (they make not be perfect) over the embarrassing clown that says Covid is like the flu and would be gone by April of 2020.
Please, understand that China is under the ccp rule. You might be to young to know that communist parties' rational is often not dictated by conventional logic, but by their interests, such as power, propaganda, false narrative etc.
DeleteSort of what the Social Democrats have been doing in the US for the past two years...perhaps under cop's financial blessing and support.
@2:38:00
ReplyDeleteCOVID "ruined businesses",
COVID "caused mental health harm and"
COVID "made family members hate one another."
NOBODY is "as divisive as trump."
What the heck is your point? Did you forget to write your sentence?
DeleteDe santis Florida DOH
ReplyDeleteGet vaccinated
Vaccination against COVID-19 and other preventable diseases can protect you from the risk of severe illness, hospitalization and death.
Talk with your health care provider about vaccination options.
Wow, you are behind on the dose of your CDC info, pal.
DeleteWhat the fuck is wrong with all of you?

DeleteAnd, ghm address your anger before you return to a classroom. Your language might just slip out, and kids do not deserve it.
By the way, if you did not notice "information " in here, than maybe you really were not looking. This is not a space for your self-affirmation.
I despise trump, but how can anyone defend Fauci? He still thinks we should be hiding under blankets at home.
ReplyDeleteWhere can you find information about the negotiations for the contract?
ReplyDeleteThanks James.
ReplyDeletehttps://nypost.com/2022/08/16/white-minnesota-teachers-would-be-laid-off-first-under-new-contract/
ReplyDeleteSo a 5% raise over 5 years. 1% a year while inflation is almost 10% the last time I checked. Absolutely stunning.
ReplyDeleteThere was no big Pharma in the 1790s.
ReplyDeleteWe, the ones who saw through the bullshit will never unite behind those who fell for it.
Any memorandum out yet—dealing with monkey pox or polio?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Anonymous, not with Anonymous who is a fool, however Anonymous raises a good point.
ReplyDelete???
Is the above 2 people arguing? 5? 10?
Thank you to Disgusted in Queens, Vin, Shelley, and Anon for using an identifying name.
I encourage everyone who wishes to remain Anonymous to use a name (or create a pseudonym like I did) so it easier to follow conversations and reply without time stamps.

As always, thank you to James for this blog.
Regards to all.
ReplyDeleteThousands and thousands of vaccine injuries and unexplained deaths and heart issues, no chance it's the vaccine!
ReplyDelete11:37
DeleteThe condescending overtone and self-righteousness of your response is deafning.
DeleteAnd 2:47, its all a lie that they forced hospitals to use one size fit all treatments.
Delete@11:22 during the polio outbreak entire towns were closed down and so were schools, and they didn't have remote learning.
ReplyDeletePolio has never had a recovery rate of 99.9%.
DeleteI do not understand what your problem is with the rallies: that is a legitimate way to express opposition.
Pio vaccines were mandates for like 60 years.
DeleteSome doe teachers never wanted to go back to work in person…period. Too bad!
ReplyDeleteTime to move on from covid, time to stop living in the park and time to go to work and do your best and enjoy your life!
Shelly
ReplyDeleteI'll take the 2 and 3% raises as long as it is paired with no more extended day.
Er, um you were fed less than half truths on the the Governor Whitmer thing too. Stop believing mainstream media.
ReplyDelete4:17 sure. We didn't see the videos with our own eyes, and people aren't facing trial. You are in a deep state of denial.
DeleteIf you don't believe that the vaccines are fake then you are part of societal divide. Thats rich. Youre saying divisive things but if we don't agree with you, we're divisive. Jedi mind tricks.
ReplyDelete8:52 should not be responded to at all. They are unhinged and seems as if they've gone off the deep end.
ReplyDelete3:15 , I will answer in any way I choose, not in the manner that you dictate, so get that straight.
ReplyDeleteYou can rage and accuse, and hurl insults, and accuse people of selling out their countrymen.
ReplyDeleteThe doe has relaxed all covid nonsense doe this upcoming year!! No more dumb health screening.
ReplyDeleteHow fast will it take some of you who hide under blankets to complain and cry on here?
9:05 The ones complaining and crying are those against the vaccine. Do you have any idea what they're so mad about?
Delete@3:15: you sound miserable. Hopefully you're not vaccinated and don't have a teaching job to go back to.
ReplyDelete@751. What a way to win an argument by saying “why should I care?”
ReplyDeleteI think we are in awe of your compliance and complacency.
And when is coercion considered a choice? Oh right, why should you care…
The UFT obviously doesn’t care. Last year, Mulgrew lamented that only 97% of teachers were vaccinated and not all 100%.
Props to James. Last year, more than half of these comments would have been censored.
10:21 When you don't care about DeSantis coercion and threats of firings and lawsuits in his deranged banning of books then we don't care about vaccine coercion and keeping your job. Thats how it works.
Delete10:21 I should care about debating "open discussion about covidian things", Germans and 1938 Russia.
ReplyDeleteThe antivaccine crowd wants autonomy to make their own decision (and nobodys holding them down and forcing them) and yet want to force others not to vaccinate, and not even support the vaccine.
ReplyDeletePeople still smoke despite scientific evidence of greater chance of lung cancer, people deactivate car seat belts despite data that says they are more at risk in an accident, people don’t go to the dentist at least twice despite data that says their oral health is more likely to suffer, people consume fast food, fries and sugary soda on daily basis despite greater risk of obesity and diabetes, people never got flu shot on annual despite the greater chance of getting a bad case of the flu—and of course to this day nearly 33% of the American public—have not received one Covid shot-which is still mind boggling. They don’t trust the government and they also still feel they are in excellent health and that Covid will disappear and no need for a shot.
ReplyDeleteIt’s human nature that people choose and feel that they know what’s best for them—of course just listen to the medical expertise of Kyrie Irving and the dozens of other pro athletes that have never gotten vaccinated as they make up their health rules despite the medical evidence and scientific data.
ReplyDeleteThe point is mandates and scientists and doctors being censored when they disagreed.
ReplyDelete446.
ReplyDelete4:28.
ReplyDelete12:08, true.
ReplyDeleteThe only reflection some people did over the summer is figuring out more ways to stay mad at the world. Not one positive thing on how to better relate to students any and all suggestions, even to live and let live, quickly shot down. But the rest of us should support their madness. I think not.
ReplyDelete6:18 I know why you blame Camille and I think it's irrational.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteNo students should be subjected to vaccines in order to play sports, absolutely sickening!
ReplyDeleteDon’t worry Anon2323. I have the CNN data right here. Redemption is at hand. The CDC is learning from their mistakes.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.cnn.com/2022/08/17/health/cdc-announces-sweeping-changes/index.html
CDC announces sweeping reorganization, aimed at changing the agency's culture and restoring public trust
By Brenda Goodman

Restoring public trust?
They should hire NYC DOH Comissioner Aswad Vassan. We all trust him right? Since we are in a state of emergency, we are lining up for our monkey pox vaccines with our masked toddlers.
6:27 stop crying. If you don't like the censorship you should find another blog. You think this is your space to vent and cry about vaccines? He's trying to manage a blog here about union issues and you're still crying about a vaccine.
ReplyDelete6:18 "If she changes her position on fired UFT members, she can let us know". I think it's safe to say Camille doesn't give a rat's patootie what you think. She doesn't lose the election because of your vote, that's for sure. More people supported her stance, than didn't but unfortunately they didn't come out to vote. Why should she cater to you when the majority supports it, or at a minimum, is not still whining about it
ReplyDelete5:40 "anti mandate is not anti vax".
ReplyDeleteThe topic was covid days so most of the way out of right field comments were on target. That said. What makes you think you ate going to settle these arguments here?
ReplyDeleteCOVID days, not vaccine mandates. Is there no difference between the two? The conversation is so bogged down in ridiculousness, what the heck are the COVID days?
ReplyDeleteI meant COVID. They were closer to the topic than usual, much closer actially.
DeleteJames it's disgusting. For them to blame Camille, you, and the educators on this board for not somehow stopping the mandate. They can't even keep their dignity in their decision, that's what's pathetic. But their despicable insults is to supposed to inspire us to have their backs. Well, that's a laugh.
ReplyDeleteWell then that's just sad. I guess this isn't really the place to come to strengthen union bonds, and brainstorm ideas, if you think it's "much closer" than usual. That's just ridiculous. Lol.
ReplyDeleteThe comments were closer to the topic than many of the topics sent to me on other postings. Strengthening union bonds and brainstorming ideas: I can hope; those are some excellent aspirational goals.
ReplyDeleteIt is not disgusting to point out that a candidate for UFT prez was pro mandates and that one finds that stance abhorrent and unacceptable.
ReplyDeleteGood morning all.
ReplyDeleteLet's take another look at Anon's post above:
Regards to all.
ReplyDeleteAs for the comments, you say "point out"??
ReplyDelete9:26 when Anon talks about "*rationale* (rational) minded critical thinkers, he really means people who thinks as he does.
ReplyDeleteHe can talk about karma all he wants.
There are definitely people here, and certainly in power at the UFT and AFT, who have long-TDS. Can you show us on the doll how Orangemanbad hurt you?
ReplyDelete11:01. Suggestion. Instead of what you want I’ll comment what I want. How’s that? Nothing I wrote was disrespectful to Camille. I strongly disagree with her. Curious… How exactly does writing an opinion on a blog full of opinions force something down anyone’s throat? Reading things you disagree with is not force.
ReplyDelete4:45 wait a sec. First you say "I'll comment what I want". Great. My posting about disgusting comments and shoving opinions down someone's throats is my commenting what I want. Or are you the only one who can comment what you want? So as you say, write what you want and I'll do the same!
ReplyDelete3:01 seems like you're all complaining that the orange man hurt you with the vaccine, no? Just point to the doll's temple.
ReplyDelete4:45 grow up.
ReplyDelete301 you are still suffering from vaccine fear syndrome.
ReplyDeleteDawkins is not very smart. JAMES has no graphs or science or mainstream nonsense that states vaccines have been working. All the dems getting covid ay the same ridiculous narrative, I have mild symptoms blah blah, so vaccine did not protect you like your savior the dementia muppet baby who is a laughing stock stated.
ReplyDeleteoops FBI were entrapped by Trump, hehe.
ReplyDelete7:15 nobody said that objecting to Camille's stance on mandates was an attack. But you responded to an post that showed an entire list of personal attacks, not only against Camille butt against posters. And since you're anonymous there was no telling if you were the author (and the response to you said as much). So maybe you should know what you're talking about before you butt in just to hear yourself talk.
ReplyDelete7:12 where exactly are the covid mandates you're talking about? You mean the vaccine? You think they're just going to bring everyone back to work? Stop dreaming and waiting on the midterms to save you.
ReplyDelete7:12 where does Dawkins states that James had graphs. I think I'll reply on John Hopkins (Jan. 2022), rather than Fox Entertainment on whether the vaccines work. Is that mainstream enough for you?
ReplyDelete"The two mRNA vaccines, Pfizer and Moderna, authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), are very safe and very good at preventing serious or fatal cases of COVID-19. The risk of serious side effects associated with these vaccines is very small".
7:12
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your attempt to insult my intelligence but it seems you misunderstood:
I have no problem with an opinion calling out Mr. Eterno for not supporting a viewpoint with questionable evidence.
I had a problem with "I hope karma hits you" which is an expression that hopes vaccine supporters should come to harm. I felt that part was wrong.
I hope this clarifies it for you.
Nobody knows who posted what, with all the anonymous names. Lol.
ReplyDelete10:49 “preventing serious or fatal cases” but not transmission.
ReplyDelete11:15 ok, so you were spot on? And?? What do you want from teachers here?
Delete11:15 do you read before you post? My post addressed the comment that there is no mainstream info that the vaccine works. You're right, risk dying. See if I care.
ReplyDeleteYou're just rambling about justifying this or that because my post said none of that.
ReplyDelete"The U.S.
ReplyDelete“I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate.
ReplyDeleteCommenters on a union blog don’t care that fellow union members were fired over a vaccine that doesn’t work. That tells me all I need to know about you. Yes sir. No sir. Whatever you say sir. I side with management over my union colleagues.
ReplyDelete5:28.
Transmission is one thing, full-blown disease and death is another.
ReplyDelete9:02 you go right ahead and keep crying about it. Most people were trying to get vaccinated before the mandate so your "yes sir, no sir" childish taunts don't fly. It's just lame excuses because you can't win that battle with those in power. It's actually funny that you blame people who have nothing to do with it. Too bad, so sad.
ReplyDeleteWhy would it be a thorn on our side if they get rehired?
@1052... I've been away for weeks. I see nothing has changed. You're still setting them straight. Lol
Delete@902 you can keep talking about it til the cows come home, but why are you trying to make your problem our problem? You say your union colleagues still don't have their jobs back. Does that mean that you're working or are you retired? Which is it? Did you go along with the "yes sir, no sir"
ReplyDeleteLet me test something out and say:
ReplyDelete"I side with my union colleagues and they should have their jobs back".
waiting, waiting, do they have their jobs back yet? Maybe tomorrow!
Keep howling at the sky dear, maybe that will work. I doubt it tho
@902, You poor thing.
ReplyDeleteFolks, you’re anonymous. What’s the point of insulting each other? I could understand better if there were a malicious instigator and people would feel the need to defend their blog ID or actual name. This is such a waste.
ReplyDelete1:28.
ReplyDelete10:06 too bad, so sad "waah, waah, waah".
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly have *you* done to make it part of "contract negotiations".
ROFLMAO.
ReplyDelete@10:06 if somebody wanted to try they would've done it already. If you don't like it, too bad. Go sit in your corner and cry about it. You sound like a complete sociopath, why would anyone want to join forces with the likes of you on anything.
ReplyDelete10:06 were you the one who posted that you were profoundly devastating, or some other nonsense because people didn't want to listen to your objections, and that they thought you were insane?
ReplyDeleteoh no 10:06. Where was your riled up question about the mandate and bringing people back? All these selfish people with their issues that are not as important as yours. Ya know, contract, pay raise, reapplying for accommodations, long term subs not being hired, school security. How dare they, you poor thing.
ReplyDeleteYou cheered on the firing of fellow union members because they didn’t want a vaccine that doesn’t prevent transmission and has serious side effects. You don’t want them to get their jobs back even though you were completely wrong about the vaccines. That’s who you are. I’ll remind you as often as necessary.
ReplyDeleteYou’ll get no traction, make no progress and help no one this way.
ReplyDelete7:06 "waah, waah, waah". Answer the question. Why didn't you ask Mulgrew during the last town hall why it couldn't be included as part of contract negotiations. Ya know, since you were asking why noone was trying to make that happen. Hmmmm??
ReplyDeleteI'll remind you just as often that you're a loudmouth who does not like to actually do the work to effect change. Not in the classroom, not regarding the fired workers. Nothing, nada, zilch.
7:06 weren't you the one calling people good Germans for taking the shot? Because you said on another thread that you took the shot. You can't make this shit up.
ReplyDelete706 the only thing being cheered is you having a meltdown for days on end. ROFLMAO. It's kinda funny tho
ReplyDeleteI'm very curious 7:06. Are you the same one who posted that you get over on your Admin and pretend to be on their side so that you can get highly effective ratings?
ReplyDeleteIt probably is the same person claims to get over on Admin that's why there's no response. They're probably laughing and smiling in the face of the people who actually fired the teachers while coming on here trying to take a higher moral ground. Lol.
ReplyDeleteThe good Germans reference goes over some heads. Google: What is a good German. It actually means something and there’s a lesson to be learned.
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing. Still trying to walk back your heinous words.
ReplyDelete"Good Germans is an ironic term — usually placed between single quotes such as 'Good Germans' — referring to German citizens during and after World War II who claimed not to have supported the Nazi regime, but remained silent and did not resist in a meaningful way."
ReplyDelete*vaccine against a deadly virus (how it was viewed at the time)
