Seeing is believing and my guess is that so many who work in the NYC schools can identify with some of the Leeds and London classrooms that are shown in this documentary.
Posting video is too easy so I'll start to write more in the near future. For now, just understand that we in NYC are not alone.
Ya know, it's interesting as you don't think England has the issues we do, at least I don't. Much like when I see video from a state like Idaho, makes you realize this isn't just a NYC thing but a nationwide thing.
ReplyDeleteWas kind of thrown off when they said she was a Supply Teacher. I was like, what the heck is a Supply Teacher, then I was like, "oh it's a substitute."

ReplyDeleteThe DOE used to tell subs to have a "bag of tricks" in case there was no lesson plan. Also, this is a cautionary tale-beware of the teacher walking around with a camera and a microphone!

ReplyDeleteAlthough chaotic, doesn't seem like the cesspool of many NYC schools where you really fear for your safety.
