The chart, as concerning "wage increases" makes it look as if the 4+4 from 2009-2010 will really be 2% in 2009, 2% in 2010, 2% in 2011 and 2% in 2012.That's not accurate. It's 4% in 2009, and 4% in 2010.Although we will only see it in our paychecks as 2% increases between 2015-2018; the effective dates are from 2009-2010. Not, 2009-2012 as the chart suggests. The difference means nothing as our paychecks are concerned. But, it makes a significant difference to the amount of retroactive pay we are owed. And please, correct me if I'm wrong.
How did MORE ignore the signalling out of those ATRs subject to 3020-a charges?
Is there another change for the ATRs besides due process? I thought ATRs were assigned to their district, not their borough?? Traveling even within a borough can be time consuming. Many schools are not located in areas with mass transit close or even have parking??
First to district if that fails to borough. That's how it has been on rotation and how it was in annual placements before that. First attempt to district, then to borough.
Contract says district. Saying it is now borough is another step backwards.
http://www.capitalnewyork.com/article/city-hall/2014/05/8545418/de-blasio-quietly-adds-hundreds-millions-chartersWTF!?!. Is this why we're not getting real retroactive pay? Does anyone involved the leadership of the union... or in the contract negotiations... have any connection to any individual charter school or to the charter school industry as a whole? If so... are we confident that all relevant info has been publicly disclosed?Do any family members of any of the aforementioned have any such connections?A curious turn of events, to put it mildly
Queens Dist 30 DR spun her stuff at yesterday's big meeting. Many surrounding schools attended. Teachers, secretaries pissed at her avoiding the issues important to them...health benefits, baited retro pay. If looks could kill, omg, nobody voting yes on this.
The real issue is what will happen to our health coverage? Even if it's not effected in the contract, is there another deal being made that will surface after this contract is ratified?
We don't save BILLIONS in healthcare and then we pay 2% of our salary forever. Win/win for Deblasio.
Anyone curious why the ballots changed from being mailed in to now being collected and delivered by chapter leaders? They realized there was a shot this may not pass, so now there's an easy channel to cheat and change numbers. Not all of the ballots AAA receives will be the ballots that leave the schools.
