TALKIN' UNION
Our friend Gloria sent this out earlier today. Not a bad way to think about teacher unions in 2018.

Hey James, Regarding parental leave:
What is the guideline for schools to replace the teacher on leave? I am going on parental leave soon and am afraid that my PE classes will not be adequately covered - they may be covered by multiple non-PE teachers in house for coverage pay. This concerns me regarding the quality of instruction of my classes while on leave.
Is there any guidelines in the parental leave agreement that states how the school should cover a teacher on leave? I am hearing that no ATR's are available to be moved mid semester as well.

None that I saw in the agreement.
