The problem with most of the data regarding deaths in nyc schools is that many infections and deaths are not recorded as school-related if personnel is employed by an outside agency. Examples includes school nurses who are employed by the department of health. My school was shut down for two days in a row until being closed for an additional two weeks. It is not listed on the schools covid tracker list either. That list, which is overrun, is far from complete.

Who needs enemies when you have friends like mulgrew?

Yeah, I prefer the enemies - at least one expects the knife. The UFT keeps putting it in our backs. The threat of layoffs may save them again next June, but from me.

How do we pull vote cope money?can we do it any time?I will do it and tell them that next comes dues, although I really dont believe in no union...just good leadership?do we call main number?which dept?do we need a form to stop cope contributions?

Mail or fax a paper stating you would like to cancel your COPE contribution. The request should include your Name, Member ID# or File# and most recent mailing address.

Once we receive the request, it is processed and sent to the City. Once processed by the City, the COPE deduction will come off payroll, which usually takes 1-2 pay cycles to complete.

Send requests to:

United Federation of Teachers
52 Broadway, 15th Floor
New York, NY 10004
ATTN: COPE Dept.
Fax: (212)-510-6435

Fauci urges closing New York bars in order to keep schools open

Yet the mayor announced this morning that K-5 resumes on 12/7.

King Cuomo does what he wants. If you want to keep schools closed, he’s the only one you need to convince.

Free public baby sitting services resume on December 7 for K-5 children. Just hope this date will not be remembered as another Day Of Infamy.
