SOME COLD COVID-19 REALITY FROM REALITY BASED EDUCATOR

RBE just lays out the reality that NYC is once again a COVID-19  hot spot.

Oh, really. The uft president must've had a plan he announced at the uft meeting this week, right?

One of the reasons they want everyone to get tested especially healthy ones is because they want to keep the positivity rates low. Also, notice how many pop up testing sites have appeared and the tests are free.

COVID is rampant now. I know five people infected, and two near death - I knew none until the this month, November. I’m currently quarantined for two weeks, not because the CDC contacted me or all the people who were near my eighty year old father-in-law who is currently near death. I’m doing it on my own because I don’t want to kill anyone. I doubt he’ ll last the night and no one can be with him. These contact tracers are just another scam like everything in deBlasio’s NYC. My father-in-law definitely caught this in his local supermarket in Queens. Stay out of all crowded public places. There should be another NYC lockdown until the vaccine is distributed.

Forget about the UFT president.
He does the bidding of De Blasio and Carranza,
not what is right for the rank and file.

12:48 I'm so sorry to hear about your father in law.

Colleges have gradually come to learn that their on-campus population does not die of Covid AND their on-campus population does not spread Covid to neighboring communities or elderly staffers. So the science contradicts last year’s campus closings and supports this year’s campus openings. Notwithstanding the emotional impulse.

Perhaps there is a lesson for city schools.

Why was I hit with this email at midnight last night? Any self responsibility left in the school system?

"thats very unfair that late work isnt even a passing grade. if I got a 100 on this essay you give me a 60 for being late. whats the point of doing this if its not even a passing grade???"

Oh, I know. It is my fault. A 19 and a half year old
With 22 credits
On her 3rd school
Blames me because she doesn't hand in any assignments on time
2 minute assignments
While she is sitting at home
With the $900 school computer
I just want to understand
She blames me
Because she doesn't do the work
And it is my fault because I deduct points
Because she doesn't do her job
Do I have that right?
She doesn't bother to ask herself how many points would be deducted if the work was done on time, that would be zero
And she shouldn't bother to do the work at all if I giver her a 60
Because 60 and 0 zero would be the same grade, according to her. Who taught her how to average?
Wow.
How sad.

Let us all thank the uft. And keep paying them
NYC in school COVID testing is a failure -- infrequent and inaccurate. School is not safe without testing.

My colleagues and I are returning to campus tomorrow despite the fact that we have SEVEN confirmed positive cases.

DOE dragged their feet in March and ppl died. Friends, If I get sick, please politicize the hell out of it.

Bruh ... it’s 34 degrees outside and we have to sit in a class with the windows open bc that’s our ventilation system.

Talking about how cold they are > whatever I’m teaching

"Flu spreads from 1 person to 2 people or 1 person to 3 people. #COVID19 spreads from 1 person to 90 people," says
@ScottGottliebMD
on why #COVID19 seems to spread much easier than seasonal flu. "You have these superspreading events that account for more of the spread." Pay dues everybody.

Is DeBlasio about to announce that Mulgrew agreed to raise the 3% to 5% for closure?

Our city and state leaders are Morons!!! If testing was mandatory for all students, then the rate would be much higher. If you don't test the students in the school, then the numbers will be low. NYC schools are breeding grounds for everyone and everywhere. They are spreading the virus like wildfire because most will never be aware they have the Virus. Students throw the permission slips in the garbage!!! My high school, in Flushing Queens has 9 teachers under quarantine and over 30 students out because 1 student tested positive. Neither of our leaders care about the students nor do they care about the teachers. Every life that is lost to this virus is 1 too many. How much blood will Duuu Blasio and the other moron have on their hands because of their failure to take action?

Good afternonn,

Joe here,

Another successful day. I hear buildings are closing. What a shocker. Who would've guessed that? Everybody.

1:38 PM. Does that surprise you? I think somone called it "lowlife central." Yeah, free ride for everybody. There are no standards. That student is destined for minimum wage work forever. Blame the teachers who passed her along. She obviously has no respect for you, the school or the rules. Fail her, even if you are the anyone. i guess her employer will let her show up at noon if work starts at 8 AM. I guess when she needs to get something done at work she can do it 15 days later. It is sad. Of course it is your fault she can't complete a 2 minute assignment.

Well done everybody. Another day gone.

They are all going to live in the land of Oz. We get up at 12 and start to work at 1 take an hour or lunch and then by 2 we're done. Jolly good fun!

138 PM. Lol. 19 and half with 22 credits. She should have 50 college credits by now. Where is the principal to tell her not to ever question a teacher like that?
