UFT on principals' union call for a delay in the implementation of the vaccine mandate

On Sept. 23, 2021, Council of School Supervisors and Administrators President Mark Cannizzaro said that it was "dangerous and irresponsible" for the city to move forward with implementing the vaccine mandate for staff on Sept. 27 because it would leave schools severely understaffed. Cannizzaro called on the city to delay the deadline for the mandate.
In response, UFT President Michael Mulgrew issued the following statement:
The principals’ union is right — our schools are not ready for the implementation of the vaccine mandate. I hope for once City Hall is listening to its own school leaders and finally starts to put together a reasonable plan to face the challenge of keeping our children safe.

The weakest sloppiest union should not even be called a union. Many schools will crumble and go remote next week. Absolutely no reason cannot test once a week. The vaccine is clearly faulty. If it was so good the vaccinated would not be so scared. Meanwhile, CCP James will push for kids to be vaccinated. Where are the vaccinated teachers to stand up for us? I heard Tuesday might be a walkout for vaccinated teachers.

Anon, Since you wanna be cheeky and consider James a CPC member, you may be surprised to know China's central government has pushed back against local governments attempts to create vaccine mandates, and they also pushed back against mask mandates in school. Why? Because unlike here, the virus isn't raging out of control.

CSA has members who haven't stepped out of an office yet during pandemic. It is not my job to run and staff the school. Every secondary I have seen is overrun with administrators and administrator wannabees. Let them take the heat for awhile, including MP, who has no cred at all.
